Chapter Text
When Buggy talked to the sea, the Roger Pirates gathered in the meeting room.
“Guys, I think we need to take Buggy's song seriously,” Roger at the head of the table said, with Rayleigh and the doctor nods.
“Wait a minute, Captain. Has something happened to little Blue?” One of the crew members raised his hand and asked.
“This … uh, what happened, Rayleigh?”
“Well… You guys know that Blue likes to talk about songs or something like that, right? But since Blue didn't explain in detail, I didn't ask for more than he said. Today's incident makes me quite sure that besides hearing the music, he should also be able to use his own songs for other things.”
“Wait a minute. First of all, what exactly happened today?” All the crew members' faces were filled with question marks.
This time, it was the doctor who answered.
“You all know that Shanks has been a little sick since last night… This morning, I asked Blue to watch over Shanks for a while. And when I came back, I heard him singing.”
"… and? Isn't Blue always singing all the time?"
“If that were all, there wouldn't be a need for a meeting like this! Let's just say I thought I heard him sing. Then there was a loud noise! So I went in and saw Blue with a fever, lying hot on the floor. And Red, who had been sick since last night, had completely recovered! Do you guys think it's possible? He is sick! I didn't even leave for ten minutes, and the boom! He is already cured!?”
“That's it,” Rayleigh said.
“He might have caught the fever from Shanks. Those two little brats slept together the other night, didn't they?”
“Yes, but Shanks' recovery is not normal at all! I've checked. It would take at least two days to get better. But what happened? After ten minutes of giving the medicine, the fever was gone, and there was no mucus or cough. If you say that Blue is not the cause, no matter what, I don't believe it!”
“Wow. That's really strange.”
“Also, when Blue sang this time, it wasn't normal. I could hear it with my ears, but I couldn't even remember what he sang. I only know that it's not like the way he always sings. When I heard that boy's song, it felt like my consciousness was slipping away until I heard the sound of falling, and then I became conscious."
“Just as the doctor said, if Blue doesn't want to tell his story, I don't want to force him. But it was clear that Blue didn't know much about his power. I'm afraid he'll accidentally hurt himself without realizing it. So, what do you guys know about Blue's song now?"
“Um… I'm not sure. But it was like he could read my mind.”
“I think so, too. Sometimes, he knows things I've never told anyone. But Blue said he heard from me, which I'm pretty sure I didn't say.”
“Well, remember when Shanks caught the lobster? Blue says that Shanks sang about the lobster until Blue could hear. But we can see that Little Red isn't singing at all. And where did Blue hear the song from?”
“If from what I know… Blue is called a song from the heart. And each person's song will be different. When Blue listens to a song, he will also know information about the owner of that song.”
Everyone turned to look at Rayleigh.
“Ray! You know more than all of us combined!”
“I'll let you guys talk in case there's anything I don't know. But it doesn't seem like it. Haven't you told Blue that you heard some noises, Roger?"
Rayleigh nudged Roger's shoulder.
“That's right! But it doesn't seem like it's the same as Blue. Haha! The voice I heard was a floating sound from somewhere I don't know, but Blue's heard people's voices... Oh! Blue also said that Oro can sing.”
Roger thought back and slowly remembered.
“Yes… and he said that the sea taught him to be invisible from Observation haki Haki.”
"Actually, we know a lot, though?”
“Ah… sorry, but why don't we ask him directly? I don't think we can find more information if we just brainstorm like this,” Spencer said.
“I think I'll do that. First, I'll just give you guys some brief details. Then we'll meet again after Blue has recovered.”
"Alright"
So a few days later, Buggy, who had recovered from his illness, attended a meeting on the rooftop.
He looked at everyone's expressions of excitement and asked softly.
“So… you guys want to know what my song can do…?”
Rayleigh gently rubbed Blue's back.
“Don't worry, Blue. It's totally fine if you don't want to tell us—as long as you say you don't want to talk. We won't ask about this again until you want to tell us yourself.”
Blue shakes his head.
“I-I want to tell you everything! But the sea does not allow me to. She said it could be dangerous for me, and I need to keep something secret.”
Buggy looked sad.
"Never mind!"
“Just as much as you can say!”
“Don't cry!”
“I'm not going to cry!” Buggy shouted as the crew laughed.
“Okay, first of all, what does the sea say? Can you tell us?”
Buggy does his little finger while saying.
“Ummm, it's mainly about my song, growth stage and Wish ... no fish thing? Aww, okay... and ... oh, you want some information from them? Alright!”
Buggy looked up at everyone.
“There are four main things. The first is about the song I heard! My growth, Wishes, and the sea want information about what happened on land when… how many years ago? Um, about 800-900 years ago… why do you guys make a face like that?”
Buggy asked everyone who looked like they had the word Oh Shit plastered on their foreheads.
“Ah...unfortunately, we also don't have much information about the last eight hundred years. We only know that the Void Century was erased from history by the world government. I'm sorry.”
Rayleigh rubbed his face.
“Um… The sea said it was okay. She could guess that it could be like that. So let's start with the song I hear. In fact, I didn't know much until the sea told me a few days ago.”
Everyone began to move a bit closer.
“I called song from the heart, but the sea told me that it comes from everything that has its own soul, like humans, animals, kabaltaman, or the sea. It shows their inner self and feelings, though, and their whole life inside their songs. But right now, I can only look at your personality and feelings… maybe even hear your thoughts if you are really engrossed in it.”
Everyone gestured for Buggy to continue.
“Uh… then about my growth stage. Sea told me that I’d grow up when my spiritual strength increased to a certain point. And then I would not grow up until my spiritual strength reached the next level or something like that. I had a fever a few days ago because I had to go through my first growth stage."
“Really!”
“We have to celebrate!”
“Let's party!”
“Whatever, just let you know I'm not gonna be your singer anymore!” Buggy shout.
“Awwwwww”
“But blueeeeeee”
“Or pay me a chest of treasure, and I'll think about it.” Buggy glanced over.
Rayleigh held his laugh until he shook. And Roger is,
"Okay! Deal! One treasure chest! Don't go back on your word, Blue!"
Then, Buggy came up with an idea for his new part-time job.
then he tells about Wishing.
When he finished, Rayleigh looked into Buggy's eyes.
“Buggy, you know this ability is dangerous, right? Especially since you have no idea what you will lose if you lose the bet. Last time you wished for Roger, luckily the sea stopped it in time. Next time, If you want to make a wish for something. Can you at least come to us first?”
Buggy nodded lightly.
“If there is something that you feel is too overwhelming to the point where you need to make a wish. Before making a wish, Come ask for help from me, Roger, Shanks, or any crew member. You're part of us, Buggy. If there's something you feel you can't do on your own, just tell us, and we'll help you. Because we are your family. We don't want you to be hurt.”
"yes, yes!"
“If you want to kick someone's ass, Just tell us!”
“You have to tell us! Don't secretly make a wish alone!”
Shanks whispered in Buggy's ear.
“If you don't want the smelly-footed adult to know. You can secretly tell me.”
Buggy looked at everyone around him and felt overwhelmed. He tried to say something, but he couldn't. The only thing he could do was hold back his sobbing and tears.
"Huff ... huff, thanks ... thank you."
Buggy was truly glad that he decided to board the Roger Pirates' ship then.
Where he received overwhelming love from many people and had friends and family.
He was in Rayleigh and Captain's arms. The large hands of many people caressed his head and back, and Shanks' little hand held his hand tightly.
Buggy never wanted these moments to end. He wanted to preserve his time with the Roger Pirates for as long as possible.
It was then that Buggy made a decision.
no matter what anyone says
As long as the captain's heart still says he wants to live... Buggy will do everything to make sure Captain can continue to live.
No matter what it takes.

Afterward, Shanks asked Buggy, who was crying until his eyes were swollen.
“But this ‘sea’ is really the sea—”
Shanks hadn't finished asking yet. A wave suddenly rolled above the Oro unnaturally. and splashed it all over him.
“… I see”
Behind them, the crew members who are hit by Buggy's tears are crying. Rayleigh is holding his head in exhaustion, and Roger is laughing hysterically next to him.
