Chapter Text

Yoongi gave birth to a healthy little girl who looked exactly like him. Jungkook even mentioned that as he held the baby while smiling at Yoongi whose side he hadn't left even for a second during the whole process.
It was a long birth and Yoongi was exhausted but with Jungkook there to give him strength he was doing really well. Now he held his baby to his breast as his husband hugged him while he gently put his hand on Jungkook's middle.
He wasn't showing too much but there was a very minuscule bump visible. Especially with the looser hanboks that he wore one wouldn't think he were pregnant but Yoongi knew because of how much time they spent together.
Now he quietly blessed Jungkook and the baby telling the universe to be kind to Jungkook like it had been kind to him.
Birthing a child is beautiful metaphorically. Not actually which is why once he left Yoongi's bedside Jungkook stumbled right into Seokjin's arms with tears in his eyes. He knew giving birth hurt but seeing Yoongi in so much pain made him very nervous.
But it was only natural which is why Seokjin kissed him and held him tight reassuring him he would make sure Jungkook had the best care and the best of everything.
They stayed with Yoongi for a couple more weeks till the baby had a naming ceremony after which through tears the two bid each other farewell. Yoongi promised Jungkook he would make sure to be there for Jungkook during the last months of his pregnancy as his husband reassured Seokjin of the same.
Jungkook was sad during his journey home. He hated goodbyes no matter the reason so he spent most of the journey in Seokjin's lap, hiding in his neck.
However his sadness only lasted through the journey back because when they returned the couple didn't go to their old home but instead their new home and were greeted by a reception of everyone waiting for them in the form of an inauguration.
Standing there on the threshold of their home the couple kissed as Seokjin held Jungkook's waist and both stepped in. Right foot first.
"Aigoo you're glowing!" Namjoon gasped as he rushed to hug Jungkook who was very happy to see his appa. However there was someone even more excited to see Jungkook and Seokjin.
"Bammie!! Your leg is all better!!" Jungkook exclaimed as Bam came rushing to Jungkook as Seokjin made sure he was stable. However thought he jumped a couple times Bam paused while sniffing around Jungkook's tummy.
His tail wagging and then stopping. Then wagging again before he started whining and nosing Jungkook's tummy making all coo at him as Seokjin picked him up saying, "Hmmm you're going to be a big brother!"
"Do you like the house?" Seokjin asked as Jungkook walked with him room by room and now stood with him in the veranda looking all over as he smiled and kissed Seokjin saying, "I love our home!" Which made Seokjin pull him in closer and kiss him soundly.
"Appa won't you stay?" Jungkook asked as Namjoon made to leave. Truly he didn't have to but he was scared of his sickness would affect Jungkook. However Seokjin asked Namjoon to wait and then bought his doctor over to examine Namjoon.
The doctor confirmed that Namjoon would not cause any issues for Jungkook's health so Namjoon stayed back to help Jungkook who was more then happy to have his appa around.
"Daffodils, Baby's breath, Tiger Lillie's, oh Rumex for your birth day! Um…what else???" Jungkook wondered a few nights later as he stood staring at the empty plot of earth that would house the new flower patch.
Standing right behind him with his hand rounding his tummy was Seokjin who was busy kissing his cheek and neck as he said, "Anything you want. Just no roses."
Jungkook sighed then as he turned in Seokjin's embrace. Kissing him soundly before he said, "Never roses." Smiling as Seokjin guided him to their bed.
"I miss your mouth on me." Jungkook said as Seokjin paused in the act of stripping him. Humming with a smile as he kissed Jungkook who realized he was blushing with how pink his ears were which in turn made him laugh.
The doctors had advised against Seokjin using his mouth on Jungkook and though Jungkook was shocked Seokjin had even asked he was thoroughly impressed which had made him very horny.
Well everything made him horny which is why though he teased Seokjin now he soon was gasping and moaning as he bounced on Seokjin's cock. Loving the feeling of being stretched out so well as he kissed Seokjin till they both came.
"Yeobo…can I come in?" Jungkook asked a few weeks later as he stood outside what would be the new room of oddities. "Aish of course you can come in. This is your home!" Seokjin said rushing to pull Jungkook in and hold him tight as Jungkook pouted at the mess in the room.
"But before you didn't let me in." He said as Seokjin hummed too. Kissing his pout away. "Not anymore. This room is for everyone. It will never be locked again." Seokjin said smiling at the room in general.
"Why is this room so messy?" Jungkook asked next as Seokjin looked around with him. There were books everywhere. There was a lot of things still unpacked in boxes. There were some strewn about.
"Where are the artifacts and the mementos??" Jungkook wondered as Seokjin pointed to a couple boxes before saying, "I just have to reorganize some things and likely commission some new cabins for them."
"Oh and where are your pretty vials??" Jungkook asked as Seokjin took a breath. Smiling at Jungkook before saying, "They broke in transit but it's okay. I didn't need them anymore."
"You have a few more months yeobo. Once the baby comes we have to make sure everything is safe because knowing how we are, our baby will be very active!" Jungkook said grumpily making Seokjin smile like a fool as he kissed Jungkook constantly saying, "Yes my pretty baby! I will have this room fixed up before that!"
🥀🪻🥀
"Did you hear about Kim Taehyung?" Namjoon asked Seokjin around Jungkook's sixth month as Seokjin gave him a look.
"Not really. I left everything up to my lawyers. I've shut the curtain on that part of my life." Seokjin said as Namjoon hummed before saying, "He apparently passed away. It's said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He was in constant pain for the past months and finally breathed his last."
Seokjin took a breath as he looked at the sky, looking at the stars that shone brightly before he said, "May he rest in peace. You know how those dungeons are, maybe he contracted some disease from one of the prisoners."
Namjoon understood Seokjin didn't intend to discuss this topic any further and so nodded in acknowledgement ready to discuss some other things he'd wanted to suggest for the baby when, "Oh no…" both gasped together in mild terror as they saw Jungkook emerge from his new art room looking grumpy. Pouting at both his father and husband who smiled at him asking what he needed.
"Bingsu?? Now???" Namjoon exclaimed as Jungkook's pout deepened. "Jungkookah look at the time!" Namjoon said as Jungkook's looked about ready to cry.
"Aigoo my baby…okay I'll get it for you!" Seokjin said pulling Jungkook in his arms as he shrugged at Namjoon who glared at him.
By the end of the next hour Seokjin had managed to wake up the local ice cream vendor and pay him extra to make Bingsu for Jungkook who devoured it with the happiest smile as Namjoon just shook his head at his best friend who was smiling just as wide while looking at Jungkook.
"Namjoonah…I will be home later than usual today." Seokjin said as he walked out with Jungkook who was pouty because Seokjin wasn't going to be home all day.
"Can't I come with you!!? I've been to the palace before!" Jungkook whined as Seokjin hugged and kissed him as he said, "Not today baby. I promise I'll come home soon."
Jungkook wasn't wrong. He had been to the palace. In fact after the couple came back to their new home from visiting Yoongi they had send a formal reply to the letter from the palace accepting their invite and Jungkook accompanied by Seokjin and Namjoon had gone to visit the reigning monarch.
It had been fascinating to Jungkook to be treated with such respect though he was so clueless and out of place with all those who were born and bred to be royal.
It made him feel odd because as he looked at his father and Seokjin they seemed to fit right in while he felt awkward. But that didn't last too long because even there, in the presence of the King, Seokjin never let go of Jungkook.
In public couples in a formal setting were discouraged from showing affection but Seokjin didn't just have his arms around Jungkook's waist, he even kissed Jungkook's cheek constantly making everyone titter and blush at them before they were blessed by the monarch himself.
Now Seokjin smiles as he thinks about that day and how the nobles of the court pinched Jungkook's cheeks and pulled his ears as they teased the couple.
"Seokjin-ssi. Arrangements have been made." Seokjin heard as he blinked back to reality and smiled at the individual who spoke. Telling the man he'd done a good job and then taking out some money for the man who took his leave. Money enough for the man to forget everything he'd done for Seokjin today.
He'd had this man, who was a general laborer who'd worked on the new Kim home, to build him a brick hearth in the middle of an abandoned field at a place that was not frequented by anyone.
This was one of the fields that Seokjin had looked at years ago when he was looking to purchase land for Namjoon. It had been unclaimed and unwanted then and it was unclaimed and unwanted now. Which is why Seokjin choose it.
Once left alone Seokjin went to where Neou was and pulled the sacs he'd had filled on either of his sides. Dragging them to the hearth and opening them before taking a deep breath.
The hearth was designed to be circular with some depth to it. Seokjin pulled a pair of new gloves from his pocket, those made of sheep's intestines before pulling out all the materials from the bags and looking at them fondly. They were all saplings now. New growth for the new season.
Monkshood, Lily of the valley, Castor beans, Rosary Peas, and then his favorites Hemlock, Foxglove and Belladonna.
All pretty flowers with deadly secrets. After all they say in nature, the more attractive something looks the more dangerous it is!
Seokjin had traveled far and wide learning about new fauna and flora. He'd traveled far and wide to collect these flowers. He'd always been intrigued by their beauty. Now it hurt to have to throw them into the hearth but he knew he had no use for them anymore.
Once he'd made sure the bags with the saplings were empty Seokjin reached for the rest. His little vials. The essence of the seeds of these flowers he'd extracted for science. For knowledge. For medicine. For revenge.
He'd had quite an impressive collection. He owed Neou a few extra treats because he knew today his bags were heavy. Now Seokjin reached for his waxed leather mask, putting it over his nose and mouth as he threw the vials into the hearth. The sound of the glass cracking making him smile.
Once everything was destroyed Seokjin threw the bags in too before reaching for the accelerant and dumping it all over the hearth. Seokjin then took the matches he bought. But before he could light everything up he threw in two more objects.
Portraits of the two who broke his soul and let the monster within him loose.
Seokjin looked at those portraits with no expression. One that he'd retrieved from the judicial office. One that was retrieved from the dungeon after it was cleaned for the new inmate.
Then he smiled sardonically as he thought about the fact that in the end. If not them at least their portraits would be together.
And with that thought he lit the hearth on fire.
Stepping back and walking a good distance away so that the fumes didn't bother him. Neou was farther away and the winds were in the direction of the coast so Seokjin knew both he and his horse were safe.
Seokjin sat there for hours as he kept staring at the hearth that burned bright. The sound of glass cracking because of the heat going on and off as Seokjin decided today was the day that monster also burned.
He didn't need to exist anymore. Those who hurt him didn't and so Seokjin's betrayal didn't need to be avenged anymore.
The fire died down as the sky turned pink making Seokjin finally stand and sigh as he went back to Neou, discarding his gloves and mask before he took off the hanbok he was wearing and wore a spare he carried.
An odd excitement rushing through him as he felt free from all the anguish of his past. Thinking of the love of his life who was likely waiting for him at home with a pout. The one who'd saved Seokjin's life numerous times. The one who'd made him believe in love again. The reason why he woke up every morning.
He threw away the bundle of his hanbok and the rest in a sewer before he went home. Finding Jungkook asleep with Namjoon and using that as a window to have a bath and wash away every inkling of all that had happened in the time he was away from Jungkook.
When he stepped out Namjoon was already awake and so Seokjin went to wake Jungkook for dinner. Having to hold onto his sleepy, grumpy love who ate only because Seokjin was feeding him. Still grumbling about being left alone by Seokjin all day.
🥀🪻🥀
As promised Yoongi came to help Jungkook at the beginning of his 8th month.
On arriving though he was told Seokjin, like the others, was worried about Jungkook because he had become exceedingly quiet. He tried hiding it behind fake smiles but he wasn't happy and even Bam who was literally his shadow would be upset about it.
However it took Yoongi just a few hours to realize what was bothering Jungkook as he held his own baby and asked Seokjin if he could speak with him.
"Jungkook's gone to bathe. But when he steps out follow him to your room. You will understand too." He instructed Seokjin who stayed hidden as Jungkook came into their room and then paused at the mirror.
He looked softly at his bump but then as he touched the rest of his body his smile disappeared and he looked about ready to cry making Seokjin rush to hug him, truly scaring Jungkook.
"Are you upset because your body has changed?" Seokjin asked turning Jungkook in his embrace and kissing him as Jungkook nodded slowly.
As with pregnancies Jungkook had gained some weight. All in the right places, looking curvier than before but also looking extremely desirable to Seokjin who didn't care that there were people in the house as he made sure Jungkook knew just how beautiful he found him.
That evening as Jungkook blushed and smiled again Yoongi smile too because he knew why Jungkook was happy. Giving Seokjin a reassuring smile because he was impressed that Seokjin was so understanding of Jungkook’s distress.
Yoongi was also a godsend because he had Jungkook do breathing exercises and light exercise while he made sure the house was ready for the sheer amount of laundry they would need to deal with.
Advise that came in handy when Jungkook finally went into labor with Seokjin holding his hand through the whole process.
Jungkook gave birth to a boy. A beautiful boy who had Seokjin's smile and Jungkook's eyes. A boy they named Soobin.
As he held his son and looked at his spouse Seokjin's heart felt about ready to burst. He didn't know he could feel so much love and he didn't realize he had so much love to give.
As Namjoon held his grandson Seokjin held his spouse. Kissing Jungkook everywhere he could while saying, "Thank you." Over and over again as Jungkook smiled weakly.
Soobin's birth was easy but that didn't mean everyone wasn't worried about Jungkook. Yoongi knowing he'd need the support stayed and took care of Jungkook's confinement period along with the chief housekeeper.
Jungkook knowing of everyone's fear listened and followed the instructions given to him. Always knowing he had Seokjin to rely on.
Seokjin who would be there for him and Soobin every second of the day. He barely let Jungkook wake up late at night. He barely let the house help handle the baby. He was running himself ragged to the extent that Jungkook had to put his foot down because he was worried about Seokjin's health.
"I need you to be here for a long time so please…sleep." Jungkook said as Soobin came to two months of age making Seokjin finally agree to letting him be looked after by the chief housekeeper.
Yoongi and his husband had left after Jungkook’s confinement. Namjoon left after his official naming.
Now it was just the couple who couldn't help but fawn over their baby who looked so much like the both of them.
"What time will you be home?" Jungkook asked as he held Soobin in his arms and stood by the door as Seokjin left for work.
"I'm only going till lunch time. I will be back soon." He said as he bent to kiss Soobin and then pulled Jungkook closer, kissing his lips as Jungkook kissed him back desperately.
That afternoon when Seokjin came back he was greeted with silence and the chief housekeeper who said, "Soobin will be with me for the rest of the day."
Seokjin didn't understand why so he went looking for Jungkook only to go still when he entered their bedroom.
There in the dappled sunlight, practically glowing, stood Jungkook.
Wearing the red wrap that he'd worn on the first night he'd surrendered his heart to Seokjin.
Jungkook's curves were in fact curvier. The dips and shadows of the silk on his skin made him look so extremely desirable that Seokjin was scared he'd devour him.
"I want you to." Jungkook said walking to Seokjin who stepped towards him. "I want you to devour me." Jungkook whispered as their lips met in a kiss that had both panting.
The last time Jungkook had worn this piece of fabric he was nervous and unsure. But today as he stood there Jungkook was confident in his body and more importantly he knew how his body affected his husband who just couldn't help but mark his neck and chest as they descended into bed.
The wrap splaying open as Jungkook sighed when Seokjin latched onto his milk heavy breast that Seokjin enjoyed. Making sure he had his fill as Jungkook moaned and keened as Seokjin's hand's moved lower to his cunt.
Gripping Seokjin's hair as he moved to his next breast, taking long pulls from his nipples as Jungkook gasped when he felt Seokjin pet his clit.
One long crooked finger tapping his entrance as he felt Seokjin move over his tummy. Kissing every wrinkle and curve. Kissing every mark as he pushed two fingers inside Jungkook who spread his legs wide in welcome.
He'd missed this. He'd missed Seokjin's mouth on him which is why he made sure Seokjin knew as he moaned and keened when Seokjin licked all over his cunt. Pushing his head deeper as he replaced his fingers with his tongue as Jungkook wept in joy. Holding Seokjin's hair and groping his own breast as he saw stars while Seokjin pinched his clit.
His cunt was more sensitive than before which is why he didn't really take long. Coming over Seokjin's tongue as he moaned and whined as Seokjin didn't let go till he was satisfied. Climbing over Jungkook and kissing him silly as he took his cock in hand, pushing it slowly into his love who cried in happiness.
This was the first time they were having sex after their baby. Seokjin had been patient on purpose because he wanted to make sure Jungkook was healthy. So now it felt like coming home with how Jungkook kept kissing him as Seokjin pushed through slowly as he felt Jungkook's walls open up in welcome for what truly belonged only inside them.
"You're so tight!" Seokjin gritted as he kissed Jungkook's forehead and nose before kissing his lips as Jungkook regulated his breathing. Finally relaxing enough to where Seokjin could move his hips. Slowly at first and then with sharp thrusts as Jungkook wrapped his arms around his neck and legs around his waist.
Panting and moaning as he kept telling Seokjin how much he loved him, how good he was feeling and how he wanted more. Driving Seokjin positively crazy as he gave Jungkook everything he wanted. Filling him up just the way he liked it before having him on his hands and knees and pushing inside him again. Taking him on his side as Jungkook gripped the sheets while Seokjin thrusted into him so hard it made his ass move like jelly.
Finally holding Jungkook's waist as they both were wet with sweat. The sounds of skin slapping skin being so loud and exaggerated because of how they were both spent. With Seokjin latched on to his breast and his womb full to the point that it was sliding out of him Jungkook was the happiest. Falling asleep that night wrapped around his love.
Dinner forgotten, time forgotten, even Soobin forgotten.
Just two souls existing for each other while professing their love for the world to hear.
"I love you yeobo."
"I love you my Jungkookie."
🥀🪻🥀
It was around the time Soobin was 18 months that Jungkook got pregnant again. And like the last time there was another celebration. Six months prior to that Yoongi had had his second son and Jungkook had gone to help so this time too he came to be with Jungkook with Namjoon also coming to watch over his son.
Seokjin who had believed he'd never have one child was beyond thrilled for two. Loving Jungkook and willing to do anything for him. If he asked for the moon Seokjin would have figured out how to get that for him too.
Jungkook gave birth to another boy who like him was registered as a birth giver. A beautiful boy who dripped of sweetness and had a heart shaped smile. A boy they named after Hoseok.
However as the celebrations around Hoseok's birth began to die down one fact became glaringly obvious and that was the truth that Namjoon's health was quickly declining.
It was understood this would happen. Somewhere after Soobin's birth Namjoon and Seokjin had sat down and told Jungkook too that he didn't have too long to live which is why Jungkook made sure he made Soobin and Hoseok spend all their time making memories with their harabeoji.
Then when the kids were asleep Jungkook would cry with his father, for his father. Holding him, as Seokjin cried for his best friend, both mourning the man they both loved so much who was rapidly getting weaker.
The doctor had said three years was a blessing and five years was a stretch but Namjoon was determined to stretch his time with his family. Following the doctors orders to a tee. Never skipping his meals. Making sure he followed all the guidelines about cleanliness. Even staying away if he knew any of the kids or adults were sick.
However after working so hard all his life and putting his body through such tribulations he knew when it was time to rest. So a few months after Soobin's fourth birthday Namjoon breathed his last whilst surrounded by family. Holding Jungkook and Seokjin's hand and reassuring them that he was going in peace and that he loved them very much while being ever grateful to Seokjin for being his one and only best friend.
To say Jungkook was devastated was an understatement. You may have all the time to grieve the one who's suppose to go but when it actually happens it still is devastating. And in this case it wasn't just Jungkook who was devastated but Seokjin too.
Seokjin who'd lost his only constant since they'd first met. His one and only best friend Namjoon.
So the couple held each other during their grief. Relying and leaning on each other as they celebrated Namjoon's life and sat down in Jungkook's art room crying as they looked at the portrait Jungkook had drawn of his father. Smiling in the sunshine looking at peace with the world.
The Kim family mourned for three months. It would have gone longer but Namjoon had made both of them promise to not stop living their life because of him. So slowly but surely the family picked themselves up with Soobin and Hoseok being the best children who never gave their parents grief.
Then after about 6 months Jungkook woke up sick and realized he'd missed his cycle. Later getting a confirmation that he was pregnant again. Not like it should be a surprise but still this proved to be the light at the end of the tunnel for the couple who concentrated on the development of their third baby.
"There are certain remedies that you can use to prevent further pregnancies." Seokjin said as he back hugged Jungkook in the tub around his seventh month after they'd spent better part of the afternoon making love.
"Hmm…do you not want more children?" Jungkook asked instead as Seokjin shook his head saying, "I can't watch you in pain anymore. One was enough, two was plenty. This one honestly is a blessing. But I don't want you to go through the trauma of birth anymore."
"Hmm…okay we can look into them." Jungkook said kissing Seokjin who kissed him back with a smile.
Right on time their youngest was born. A long baby with dimples and not even a second after he held him Seokjin whispered, "Namjoon." as Jungkook giggled because their baby was indeed Namjoon's little replica.
"Hmm…the babies are sleeping." Seokjin whispered to Jungkook some six months later as Jungkook hummed looking around at how Soobin and Hoseok were sprawled all over the couples bed while Namjoon was sleeping at Jungkook's breast.
"Let them be here." Jungkook whined as Seokjin made him lean back carefully and then picked Soobin up and looked at Jungkook with a pout saying, "No. I want my Jungkookie all to myself." Jungkook couldn't help but blush as he looked at his reflection in the mirror.
His heart galloping at the fact that Seokjin still looked at him like he was the ripest fruit that he couldn't help but enjoy. Seokjin then came and took Hoseok away before gently taking Namjoon to his bassinet that was just a door away.
Namjoon's birth had been more traumatic than the others. Jungkook had developed a fever after Namjoon that had made Seokjin lose sleep and employ very doctor to make sure that he was back to being completely healthy. So now Seokjin was entirely delicate with Jungkook, deciding that he'd indeed employ those birth control measures and even consulting with the doctors if there was something he could do instead.
There was a procedure he could choose to have performed on him but when Jungkook caught wind of that he was strictly against it. Going as far as threatening to bar Seokjin from his bed forever if he dared to think about it anymore.
"You say you'll keep me away as if you can resist me." Seokjin teased now as he kissed all over Jungkook's face as Jungkook smiled saying, "Hmm…maybe I would change the rules. I get to touch you but you don't get to touch me." as he gasped when Seokjin anchored his cock inside him.
They went slow. Seokjin loved him softly. Seokjin made him cry just with his words and his promises. Seokjin held him so securely that it made Jungkook smile. Because he knew this was Seokjin proving that Jungkook would fail because he just couldn't resist Seokjin's touch.
And honestly, Seokjin would be right!
🥀🪻🥀
The room of oddities isn't a room of oddities anymore. The library that it had taken over reclaimed it's title and the room, now bigger, was filled with books both new and old.
However in one corner is a glass cabin that housed all of the travel mementos Seokjin once deemed special. They were still special but Seokjin didn't think they were his pride and joy anymore. Because his pride and joy were his children and the person he owed his happiness to.
His soulmate. His love. His Jungkookie.
Over the years Jungkook had become the best appa to the children. Maturing into an even more beautiful person who nurtured his children to be humble and kind and never to be spoiled by their privilege. His upbringing reflecting on the babies who soon grew up to be upstanding citizens who loved their parents very much.
All of 10, Soobin was already a leader in school making sure everyone was treated well and never supporting and actively fighting against bullies. He even spent his lunch sitting in the common dining room not caring where the person sitting beside him came from.
Seokjin didn't have to predict the future but he knew Soobin would be like him. Traveling the world and making new discoveries but always coming home because he couldn't stay away from his appa for too long.
"Someday I will go because such is life. When that day comes I want you to take your appa and show him the world." Seokjin would tell him and Soobin had promised him as much only to surprise Seokjin by commissioning a ship specifically for his parents to travel the world together when he was around 21. Giving Seokjin to opportunity to revisit some places he'd seen and be Jungkook's guide to experience new cultures and sometimes giving his parents the opportunity to discover something new together.
Hoseok had surprised Seokjin and Jungkook with how lively he was. He wasn't shy about his opinions and he wasn't one to hold back. All of 8 he was bold and fiery which was already fielding him taunts and back handed comments about how no man would want him because he wasn't demure like he was supposed to be.
But never once would Seokjin or Jungkook let those comments affect Hoseok. Because Seokjin could already see how Hoseok would be the one who would be the face of his business. A strong leader who would make sure the family name and business always grew no matter what. With Soobin traveling it would be Hoseok who would man the fort on home soil and Seokjin knew he'd never have to worry about the legacy he left behind.
When it came to the taunts Seokjin would ruffle Hoseok hair looking at all and sundry declaring, “No one gets to choose how Hoseok will behave other than Hoseok himself.” As he smiled at his son who hugged him with tears of joy that Jungkook would wipe away.
Now as Seokjin walks past the library he hears books falling making him rush to look inside. Not being surprised to find a mess as he walks behind the big table to find Bam. And right there, crouched over Bam is his clumsy little genius.
"Namjoonah?" Seokjin called as his youngest stood straight, his glasses askew making Seokjin laugh as he reached out and straightened Namjoon's glasses before helping him put away the books he was done reading.
"Did you get hurt?" Seokjin asked then as he looked over the boy and Bam who stood up wagging his tail. Bam was getting older but he was still protective of the family, his favorite being Namjoon after Jungkook. Now Namjoon said no as he picked up some more books and handed them to Seokjin.
Like his namesake Namjoon had a voracious appetite for books. In fact though just 5 he was already on a reading level far above those his age. No he didn't read books about philosophy and sciences yet but he did read books more advanced than a 5 year old would and Seokjin just knew he'd have to keep a steady supply of books always rotating in and out of his library just for Namjoon.
"This is way above your knowledge skill." Seokjin said now as he picked up the boy who smiled at him with his dimples popping out and his dragon eyes closed to slits as Seokjin bussed his cheek.
His heart clenching as he thought about that fact that the universe was kind enough to give Namjoon another chance to have everything he should have had in the past. Sure they weren't the same person but Seokjin would make sure his son Namjoon would grow up to have every opportunity he wanted.
In fact Namjoon had inspired Seokjin honor his best friend Namjoon by opening scholarships under his name at the schools for specially talented students who came from an underprivileged background. Providing an opportunity for kids like Namjoon who were smart but didn't have resources to study further.
It was obvious the younger Namjoon was smart and as he'd grow up he'd show a talent for literature and numbers making him the scholar among the three who'd work at the palace as an advisor as well as work to make sure the accounting books of the business were up to date.
The three children working as a team to always make sure their parents legacy was protected and that it flourished even when their parents were not around.
"Abeoji that one." Namjoon said as he pointed to the spine of a book that would likely catch his eyes because of how it was reflective and purple. It was a book Seokjin narrowed his eyes at as he pulled it out and then looked at wide eyed in recognition.
Smiling at Namjoon and opening the book showing him it had nothing but pages and page of words he didn't understand yet. "Here how about this one?" he said instead as he pulled a children's book with illustration that quickly held Namjoon's fancy, taking both Namjoon and the books out the library.
Once out Seokjin let Namjoon down watching as his youngest rushed to his siblings who were sharing fruit among themselves. His older brothers making sure he ate the biggest portions before the three began playing around with Bam.
Meanwhile Seokjin looked at the book in his hand. He'd meant to destroy it all those years ago but he couldn't find it before. Maybe it had got mixed in during the move. So now he added more logs to the fire and waited for it to burn stronger before he threw the book inside.
"Yeobo? What happened? Why did you throw that book away?" Seokjin heard as he turned to his side and looked at Jungkook. Pulling him close and kissing him as he said, "It's an old book about poisons that I had picked up from somewhere I don't remember. With Namjoonah always being in the library I don't want him to read something that can be potentially harmful so it's better that book burns."
Jungkook hummed at that explanation smiling ahead at the kids who were running around and then came running to their parents before they all were informed that dinner was ready.
"Yoongi hyung wanted to know if the kids can go visit them this summer." Jungkook said as the couple looked at the kids. "A summer without them? So just you and me?" Seokjin asked as Jungkook giggled saying, "Yes. At least for a month because the kids just love to spend time together. Then we can join them too." Seokjin was more than happy with the idea as he pulled Jungkook into his chest and kissed him.
The couple soon led the children ahead as the wind rustled over the flower patch bringing with it the sweet scent of the lush blooms making Seokjin turn and smile at them before he looked at his family. Smiling at his children and then his Jungkookie who walked up to him and intertwined their fingers before pulling him away.
His eyes lingering on the flower patch and then the fireplace before he smiled at Seokjin as they walked to the dining room.
Yoongi and his spouse had moved to a coastal city and so after spending a month away from the children and having truly astounding amounts of sex the couple went to visit for a few weeks before going home.
Both walking on the beach, their toes seeping into the sand as the sun reflected off the water making Seokjin kiss Jungkook's forehead as two individuals rushed by them.
The might have been preteens, Seokjin wasn't sure but as he turned around he had to take a minute because he vaguely recognized those crescent eyes and that boxy smile. But then the sun was over his head so maybe he was seeing things.
"Yeobo…who are you looking at?" Jungkook asked looking at the kids too and then smiling as Seokjin kissed him saying it wasn't relevant before the couple joined their children for some bingsu that was being sold by a vendor not too far away.
That night, like many other nights, Jungkook lay stuffed as Seokjin suckled his breast. Looking out the window at the sky and smiling at the moon as he wrapped his arms around the man who was his first love. Giggling as he realized unlike what he'd believed his first love did indeed get fulfilled.
As Seokjin kissed his neck and moved his hips Jungkook would gasp thinking of how their love story came to be. Did he have questions about some details? Of course he did. As the years went by and Jungkook thought about their story he had random doubts about certain instances in the past.
But Jungkook never cared for the answers to those doubts. The truth wouldn't really set anything free. Jungkook loved Seokjin and didn't care to share him with the past no matter if it were clear or filled with mistakes. After all, Seokjin wasn't the only one who was selfish. Jungkook was selfish too and wanted Seokjin all to himself as well.
"What are you thinking about?" Seokjin asked now as he kissed Jungkook who kissed him back saying, "Nothing. Just that I love you very much." as Seokjin kissed him harder before having him panting and gasping as he thrusted into him, stuffing him with his cum till his abdomen was taunt and he had no ability to think anymore.
"I love you too." Seokjin said kissing Jungkook's cheek as he watched the dazed expression in his eyes and his weak attempts to hold Seokjin who kissed him soundly till he passed out. Smiling at his love and soon joining him in slumber.
After all Jungkook didn't ever have to think. That was always Seokjin's goal. Because Jungkook would never have anything to worry about under Seokjin's care.
