Lewis feels his stomach drop, the nausea of realization churning in his gut.
"You planned this?" Lewis asks in disbelief, a question or conclussion he isn't sure, just that it sounds even more crazy spoken out loudly.
Because no sane omega would willingly go into a heat in public. Far away from their home or any kind of safe place. At a fucking race track with thousands of people. It sounds even more ridiculous, considering the fact Max is unbonded.
Again silence is the answer but this time it is the other way around as Max seems to struggle with his verbal defense, "You did." Lewis says stricken, desperately needing a confirmation for the impending chaos.
"So what?"
OR
Lewis goes to confront Max after the incident during the Hungarian GP but instead of an enlightening friendly conversation he finds the real reason for Max's foul mood.

Lando can’t help but feel suspicious when he sees that both Max and Charles are hanging out and sick at the exact same time, especially during the summer break when they’re supposed to be on separate holidays.
It’s odd because, as far as he knows, Max and Charles don’t usually spend time together outside of the paddock—they aren’t even particularly close. What’s even stranger is that this isn’t the first time it’s happened. Or the second.
One instance could be a fluke, two might just be a strange coincidence, and three times is enough to make him raise an eyebrow. But four? That’s enough to set off alarm bells.
He begins to wonder if Max and Charles are far closer nowadays than anyone realizes. Is he being paranoid, or there’s a chance he’s losing his place as Max’s best friend?
Or: Lando + the drivers try to find out why Max and Charles keep getting sick at the same time, and he’s going to be a detective about it.

Every rookie driver was required to find a mentor for the duration of their rookie season. The GPDA had agreed to the mentorship program outlined by the FIA years ago, in hopes of better supporting young drivers as they made their first forays into the pinnacle of motorsport. Usually, the choice was left up to the rookie and experienced drivers who were interested in serving as mentors, with little to no interference from the FIA – as long as the correct paperwork was filed.
While pairings could happen between teammates, they weren't the only pairings to exist - some rookies had prior connections on the grid, while others would choose to seek out a driver with the same secondary gender as themselves, or else another driver who spoke the same first language as them.
As a brash, young and reckless driver - who also happened to be unpresented - Max Verstappen didn't hold much hope when it come to finding a mentor.
