Welcome to my profile!
About my username: My "avatar" isn't Aang or Korra, and has nothing to do with James Cameron. It's Rachel Summers of the X-Men and Excalibur. She was my favorite character when I first got on the internet and my user names have always included "phoenix" and/or "avatar" in her honor. "MN" stands for Minnesota, my home.
These days, I'm pretty obsessed with Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon and Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians. I mainly focus on writing them. Usually together, sometimes apart. But I occasionally venture astray in order to serve a particular kink or message statement that I want to make with my craft, when Hiccup and/or Jack are not an appropriate vehicle. I always write E-rated porn, but I try my best to include an emotional element that moves me, and to make a statement or convey a message... about sex, social/interpersonal issues, fandom, or characters. I soapbox a little when I conceptualize, but I hope I blend it in well so the concept feels natural, in-character, and a part of a story. I'm motivated by a desire to do something I've rarely or never seen. It may something deep, or sometimes it's just what really turns me on.
I recently started to use Tumblr, originally to promote my stories here on AO3. You can find me there @ ((avatarmn.tumblr.com)).
