Extermination has just ravaged the streets of hell, and the Vees in particular had quite the rough experience, with many of the sinners once under their control now dead in the wake of the exorcists. They’re desperate for a way to claw back to the top of hell, and luckily for them, Charlie Morningstar’s new Happy Hotel has just opened. Purporting to be a way for sinners to redeem themselves at get back into heaven, the location is perfect for shooting a schlocky reality TV show about the lives of the sinners trying to redeem themselves.

Summary
Once in the 1950's a young magician Trixie Lulamoon found herself performing in a small, rural village in a middle of nowhere. After the show ended the head of the village, Starlight Glimmer, offered her a dinner and a bed for the night at her house - an unexpectedly hospitable gesture. Trixie accepted, being intrigued with her, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of uneasiness. Something is deeply wrong about this place.

Everything was peaceful, until it was then interrupted by a soft thump. Tiredly she opened one eye to look around in the dim light of the caravan, looking at each of her siblings and Nona before closing her eye again to sleep. But just as quickly as she closed them, she opened them with shock as she recounted everyone in the room. Including her there was Nona, Dion, Mirtala, and Queepie but there was just one person missing.
