Summary
When Jason Todd died, Tim took it upon himself to find a way to save Batman from his dark spiral of violence. Maybe if things had gone differently Tim would have offered himself up to take the Robin mantle and work alongside his hero. Unfortunately, Tim was too busy running his parents' company after the untimely death of his mother. But he knew how to be useful, and other opportunities presented themselves for him to do just that. He felt a little bad about helping to kidnap Damian, but decidedly less bad about helping Steph become a hero. He just hoped that his use wouldn't run out before getting to help his Robin.

The Batfamily AU where Bruce Wayne is Batman, the monster hunter, and adopts many little demons.

•Tim is the incarnation of Vine, a king of hell
•Cassandra is a Daevas, a demon of shadows
•Damian is obviously half-human. His mother is Leviathan.
•Duke is human but has a curse
•Stephanie is a Pixie, a fairy creature
•Barbara Gordon is part Arachne, a spider demon
•Alfred is a house spirit and is at least three centuries oldThe series is complete and the main plot is finished (unless I get inspired to write more) :)

"What do you want, Nightwing?"
Dick stood in the middle of the room. He took a step back at Duke's words and held his hands up, showing them. "I thought... I thought maybe you'd explain."
That was the point. Duke had never been a quiet guy. People thought so because his anger never showed. Duke, however, always felt angry. Because life was so fucking unfair.
"What if I didn't?"

Also, Duke does something stupid. His siblings do something even stupider. Someone holds a sword to someone's throat (that's a metaphor but, also, not a metaphor). In the end, everyone cries.
Or: the fall of Duke Thomas, the rise of Signal, and, finally, the rise of Duke Wayne.

Clark wasn't blind, nor that naive. He knew there was something strange about Bruce's family.

Dick had learned the name Clark's biological parents had given him months before Bruce. And Bruce had smiled slightly when he found out.
"Call me if you decide to adopt another orphan," Clark had joked as he watched Dick swing from the chandelier. It had been nothing but an innocent joke.
Except that Batman had actually done it.

Or, Clark is Clark Kent, reporter for the Daily Planet, Superman, hero of the Justice League, Kal, an alien dad but also "Uncle C".
Also: Clark Kent protects all the little bats, no matter how strange they are.

Jonathan Kent returned the next day. He asked for Damian, and when he saw the boy, he jumped on him and hugged him. Damian immediately moved away, but remained close. Jon laughed, and dragged Damian out "for ice cream." He looked at Alfred and said, in his most serious tone, "I'm Superman's son, I can protect him."
Damian snorted. "Tt, I've been trained since birth. I'm an Al Ghul and Batman's son. I can protect you."

"Hello, I'm Tim's friend, he... I need to see Tim."
"I'll let Master Tim know. Mister...?"
"Kent... Conner Kent."
Something like recognition passed through Alfred's eyes. "Ah, Master Kon. Of course. You can wait in the living room, if you like."

Or: Alfred always knows when someone is family. Getting to know them, though, is another story. It's a long road but they've definitely started walking.
The Kents, however, keep appearing in the middle.
