Virgil, aka “Kōri”, is a member of the Ice Clan; a family of cold-related Heroes.
Roman, aka “Firebird”, is a member of the Fire Clan; a family of heat-related Villains.
Firebird and Kōri are widely known to be arch-nemesis’s, constantly engaging in large and, more often than not, globally broadcasted battles.
Virgil and Roman, on the other hand…
Not so much.
Not since that blood oath.
Or
Roman and Virgil, well known Villain and Hero (respectively) have been faking a rivalry for the last eight years. But ever since the blood oath they took thirteen years ago, they can’t actually harm each other. Which is a pretty big inconvenience, considering that’s the whole point of the rivalry.
So what happens when the two decide they’re tired of the game of smoke and mirrors?

“I’m gonna go down there and get my boy back. You’re gonna be my tour guide.” He holds his hand out for the final gun Steve has stashed, which he gives over reluctantly. He finds Wayne remarkably difficult to argue with—wonders if Eddie found the same. “Tour guides don’t need guns. You point at somethin’, I shoot it. Got it, Steve?”
(Steve knows Eddie’s alive. Wayne’s the only one who believes him. So they team up to save him.)
