Summary
“No,” Remus murmured, head swimming. He sat frigidly by her form, arms hanging uselessly at his side. “No. I killed them. I killed them all. Please, no. Please.” He didn’t know who he was begging to. He’d never quite believed in God, rather putting his faith in science books.
But there was no science to this. There was no science to corpses rising from the dead and tearing his world apart. There was no science, no logic, no cure, no solution.
“Don’t,” he demanded when her eyes began to slip shut. He swallowed thickly, the tears on his face feeling as foreign as tearing through someone’s brain had once been. “Duw, na. No, no. Please.”
If there was no science, could there then be mercy?
But no God listened.

OR: It's a zombie AU with the Marauders. Remus Lupin survives alone for two years and learns to distrust everybody, whether they're alive or dead, after a grueling encounter with a man called Fenrir Greyback. When he eventually finds a community called Salazar, led by Tom Riddle, it all seems too good to be true. Oh, and the son of those Black family bigots, Sirius? Yeah, he's an asshole.
Right?

Summary
The world seemed to swirl underneath his feet.
“Anakin, are you coming?” It was Obi-Wan asking the question, but Anakin hardly recognized his sharp Coruscanti accent.
“Yes,” he croaked, clearing his throat. He couldn’t afford to be weak right now. Especially not in front of Obi-Wan. “Be right behind you.”
A moment of silence. Thin hesitation. But then he heard Obi-Wan’s footsteps grow quiet, and Anakin crumpled.
-
OR: After the Rako Hardeen debacle, Anakin Skywalker refuses to speak to his former Master. This becomes a problem when he starts having seizures: he refuses to tell either Obi-Wan or Ahsoka. When he eventually collapses on a mission, however, his secret is revealed.

Summary
Anakin gestured at the prophecy-sprouting thing vaguely. “We opened it,” he said, matter of factly.
“And it told us you will die,” Obi-Wan said, slowly, as if he were talking to a child.
“Won’t we all.” He shrugged, though he did shoot a cheeky glance at Yoda, who was, of course, 900 years old. It was a running joke that the troll was immortal. Not quite appropriate at the moment, however.
-
OR: The Chosen One is destined to die. Obi-Wan is NOT okay with this. His (former) Padawan, however, seems mostly unbothered.
Warning for like kinda suicidal stuff. Anakin does not gaf about himself, basicallySeries

Summary
This was likely the reason he was the only slave in the Temple, yet also why they treated him well. He was a special case, he was a valuable asset. They wanted to control him, and above all, they didn’t want to lose him. So he remained property. But the Jedi didn’t call him a slave—that was not socially accepted in the Inner Rim.
A young Anakin still believes he's a slave in the Jedi Temple. With the Clone Wars raging across the galaxy, there is no chance for anyone to tell him any different.

Summary
“Figures you’re a conspiracy theorist, Spidey.” Tony smirked when the kid startled, swiveling around. His shoulders loosened as he saw who had spoken.
“Figures you don’t know what a conspiracy theory is,” he replied brightly, none of the deliriousness from the other night apparent. He waved the thin, purple paper in his face. “This is journalism. Did you know ostriches can run up to 45 miles per hour? They’re like—” he floundered for the perfect word. “Bird demons!”
-
OR: Tony Stark has been running into Spider-Man an awful lot lately, and every time he does something bizarre seems to happen, whether it's to do with a trash-themed villain or birds taking over the planet. However, it slowly becomes clear that some of the chaos isn't random at all, and Spider-Man is right in the center of it.

Summary
He thought back to the hours he’d spent behind those impenetrable walls. In that maze of a tower, hiding himself away from grief and guilt. Wielding a symbol of fear and death and triumphantly smiling as he did so. Cutting his braid off and watching it fall to the ground, meaningless.
Walking among slaves as if he wasn’t one himself.

Sidious manipulates Anakin to believe Obi-Wan is dead, causing him to fall to the dark side much earlier than in the movies. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan and the Jedi think Anakin is dead, and that the new Sith by the name of Darth Vader is a pretty odd one.
(This is basically a shit ton of Anakin angst)

Summary
The door opened to a tall boy, dressed in a tidy blouse underneath a simple brown vest. His trousers were a darker brown, nearly black, and just a little too short for his long legs. It was a servant's uniform, one of the lowest classes. Sirius was sure the boy was of this status for no reason other than the two scars on his face, running ruggedly from one eyebrow to the opposite corner of his mouth, parallel to each other.
"Master Black," he greeted, hands folded neatly behind his back as he lowered his gaze and inclined his head in a timid bow. Dark blonde curls fell forward with the motion, and Sirius found himself sitting a little more upright in his seat by the window, something akin to interest stirring in his stomach.
OR: Sirius Black is the heir of Lord Orion and Lady Walburga Black. In a last attempt to discipline the boy, his parents sent him to Hogwarts when he's 15. As is customary, he'll also receive a personal servant. But why did his mother choose Remus Lupin, and who even really is this mysterious boy?

Summary
"When I woke up after that night, I felt disappointed," he began, not looking James in the eye. "not at Sirius or at Snape. I felt disappointed because.. because I woke up, I guess," James reared back, his heart sinking to his stomach. "I felt disappointed because, after years of trying to convince myself that I wasn't like other werewolves, that I was still good, that I wasn't a monster... I was proven wrong."
OR: After The Prank that Sirius plays on Snape, Remus decides to leave Hogwarts. He spirals into self-hatred, doing anything to forget about his former friends and "monstrous" self. Eventually, though, his friends find him. Things only get worse after that.

Summary
Michael stays behind during the Fox River escape. Having experienced frequent nosebleeds and pounding headaches in the last week, he knows the tumor his mother had also carried is playing up. Believing he will die soon anyway, he just wants to make sure his brother lives.
Life at Fox River after the escape becomes hard.
Or: I basically fuck up the Prison Break timeline (I changed a lot of details about the final escape, for example Sara didn't change the locks so Michael had the correct keys) and Michael is a self-sacrificial piece of shit.

Summary
Scattered on marble floors like discarded filth—their robes pooling out underneath them like twisted, bloodied wings—Jedi lay dead in their home. Open, terrified eyes staring up blankly at a high ceiling. Hands still clamped onto useless metal hilts in a morbid symbol of religious hope to a weapon that had evidently failed them in the face of death.
OR: Anakin and Obi-Wan's conversation about Anakin spying on Palpatine spirals into an argument about Obi-Wan not trusting Anakin. Somehow, this causes Anakin to stay in the Council Chambers when order 66 happens. He fights desperately to protect any Jedi he can, and when the order is suddenly stopped and the clones turn back to their regular selves, Anakin is gravely injured.

Summary
He was packing the few belongings he possessed when Obi-Wan burst into his rooms. The man paused when he saw Anakin bowed over a stuffed bag, disbelief coloring the Force around him.
"Anakin..." His voice was broken, but its edges weren't sharp. They were as soft as the hands that had previously cradled his Padawan's face, as rounded as the wrinkles by his mouth when he had smiled at his young apprentice.
Straightening, Anakin turned to face his former Master. "You've heard, then," he muttered.
OR: Anakin and Obi-Wan's friendship is strained under the pressure of war. Anakin realizes the darkness pressing at him will not go away on its own after an argument between them, and he understands that he must leave the Jedi Order if he doesn't want to fall. Obi-Wan finally stops being emotionally constipated as a result.

Summary
Thick armor made of glistering scales covered a slim, muscular body. Gloved fingers itched toward a holster which held a sharp sword. A helmet made to fit the rest of the armor covered a head. The only gaps in the whole outfit were the slits at his eyes, and a pair of green ones shone bright from behind them. He looked like a mix between a soldier and a dragon, and Stoick found himself swallowing thickly, his own fingers itching toward his ax.
OR:
After being disowned by his father, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III fled Berk and was never seen again. When the infamous dragon rider called 'The Champion' suddenly gets onto Berk's radar quite a few months later, things change.

Summary
"As it is, we don't know an awful lot about werewolves. Lots of them die within ten years of being turned, either by their own doing or by the transformations. The body of a werewolf gets torn apart during the transformation, you see. A lot of their bodies just.. give out, after a few years." The class was silent for a bit, Coates sweeping his gaze across the room.
"Ah well, I guess you could say that it's almost a self-solving problem, like that," Coates mused thoughtfully, seeming lost in thought. Remus could feel the shocked horror from his friends and wished the professor would stop there, but of course the man had to go on.
-
OR: It's near the end of their third year when the Marauders get their first lesson on werewolves. Hearing about the terrible, short future most werewolves have, James, Peter and Sirius do not find this okay. At all. Remus wishes they would just accept it.

Summary
"No one wanted me, except for Qui-Gon. But he died. And suddenly the Jedi were stuck with me." Anakin paused, hesitating. "Obi-Wan was stuck with me."
Nausea rose in Obi-Wan's throat. He had failed Anakin, he realized. No padawan should feel like his Master didn't want him.
OR: Anakin tells Ahsoka about his past and his early years as a padawan. Obi-Wan happens to overhear and realizes that he has fucked some things up.

Summary
"Do I know you?"
His voice was exactly as Obi-Wan remembered it. That odd, rough accent. The sharp edge of his tone. And his expression; genuine confusion, familiar furrowed brows. Eyes as blue as the water on Naboo, a jaw as sharp as a piece of durasteel. The slice in his eyebrow, the dimple in his chin.
OR: Anakin Skywalker has been dead for two years. Until Obi-Wan finds him on Tatooine, that is. Oh yeah, and he has severe memory loss. But it's all okay in the end!

"So you're postponing this mission... to buy a plant?" Anakin asked, incredulous.
Obi-Wan raised an eyebrow, nodding. "Yes," he said, totally serious. He looked at Anakin as if he were the crazy one.
