Summary
Yoonchae finished the rest of her nightly skincare routine on autopilot.
Cleanser rinsed away, foam swirling down the drain; toner tapped into her skin, a slightly tacky feeling left behind; moisturizer smoothed over her cheeks until the air conditioning cools the product on her skin. The bathroom mirror had fogged up just enough with the leftover heat of her shower that her reflection had gone soft around the edges, blurrier, too.
She pads into her bedroom, bare feet sinking into the white plush of the rug, and reaches for her phone on her bedside table. It’s Friday night, finally. There’s no homework looming over her, no basketball practice for her body to dread. It’s just her, her bed, and the K-Drama she’s been saving for when she actually has both the time and energy to sit still for a few hours, pay attention, and get to fully enjoy it.
She’s nearly in her bed, can nearly taste the warmth of her comforter, when—
HOOOOOOOOOONK.
Yoonchae jolts, hand flying to her chest.

Summary
But – “Ohmygosh, Yoonchae, we should do matching costumes!” Megan had squealed from her side of the room, one day back in September. Yoonchae had just looked up at her from her phone.
“For Halloween, duh,” Megan had said, throwing out her hands, effectively launching her phone onto her comforter. She’d immediately strained to grab it again, then turned it around to show Yoonchae a blurry Pinterest photo of two girls dressed as an angel and devil, respectively.
Yoonchae had raised a brow. “Who’s who?”
“You’re the angel, obviously. And I’ll be your sexy devil.”
“My… sexy devil.”
Or: It’s Yoonchae’s first official college party, but she makes the mistake of mixing vodka, weed, and all her jumbled up feelings about her costume’s matching half together. The hangover is brutal.

Summary
Megan flops on her back and stares up at her ceiling. She is tired of being alone, her bed is too warm, and Yoonchae is too far. She could go knock at Lara’s door, but she doesn’t really want to. Lara would cup her face in her hands and ask when the last time she ate was, and lying does not appeal to Megan right now.
Megan blinks, her eyes are drying out and she remembers that she needs to order more contacts.
The clock shifts to 3:51, and Megan wonders if time could be moving slow just to piss her off.
