It had been on his tongue. The negation, to say ‘No, you’re wrong.’. Grace had felt the rebuttal right then and there, to say out loud what he knew wasn’t true.

The mission is utterly fucked.
Fitzroy had given him all the intel before he made his way from a rundown hostel in Cambodia to the target in southern Laos. There was not much to go on, but Fitz had told him that a DEA agent named Eddie Gamboa was stranded in one of the military detention camps, and Court was the closest asset to his last known location. Court had been lying low to cool off between operations, but it had seemed like a relatively simple undertaking to find one guy and extract him from a detention camp.
At full health, it would have been just another job.
Right now, Courtland Gentry was nowhere near his full capabilities.
