Summary
It all happened way too fast—Batman asking for support, saying Nightwing had been hit, the constant screaming of the other hero almost unbearable, filling the place. Nightwing looked terrified. He was curled up in the corner of the room, looking like he was in the middle of a panic attack as he held a pretty bad injury over his stomach with his arm.
And that’s what really hit him: they knew nothing. Nothing at all about this man.
The whole thing was so messed up.
But then the weirdest thing happened: Batman took a step forward.or
Dick gets hurt in front of the hole JL and suddenly Batman is not the usual asshole (based on that one trope thats very famous of Dick getting hurt and screaming for his dad)

Jason is glad to be alive. After everything that had happened—coming back to Gotham, starting a new wave of goons in Crime Alley, going manic for a little while, revealing his identity to his family, and trying to reconnect with the mess his past had become—he figured he deserved to have a little fun.
No one really knew him with his new appearance. This was his chance at a fresh start, maybe even to try the things he hadn’t dared to before.

Dick is happy he's home. His work has been keeping him away from Gotham and his family for way too long, but maybe this case is a good excuse to pop in and see how things have been going since he left.
His siblings have other ideas... The main one is to see who can embarrass their older brother the most while he's in town.
Or
Dick gets to visit Gotham during a case, and his siblings start appearing at the police station just to get on his nerves and embarrass him in front of his coworkers.
