Hello! I'm mostly a lurker who reads and bookmarks fics, but I do write occasionally. While it might take me a while to finish, I always try my best—and if I ever plan to leave a fic unfinished, I’ll say so in the summary.
About my bookmarks: I add a note and category after I finish reading (some early ones don’t have either). Notes can be short, especially for angst fics, since most of my thoughts are just unintelligible screaming or crying over how well they were written.
Category is personal and subject to change. I read a LOT, but don’t bookmark everything such as unfinished fics because I am waiting for new chapters to be released but I do bookmark if it's clear never going to be updated again. I also just don't bookmark fics I don't feel like re-reading. I often update notes/tag on rereads. I would also just like to say, there is no 1-5 with 5 being the best, this is NOT a rating system, I was just lazy with names. Here's the more complex breakdown:
1 – Great fics, often short (1–2k), not usually angst. My most used category.
2 – Like a 1, but with something I especially love (e.g., a favorite trope like animal traits).
3 – Mix of short and long (20k~) fics. Usually stories with a premise I love but that weren’t continued—aka “I want more but the author didn’t write more and now I’m sad.”
4 – Fics I cried over or that felt like actual books. Usually 20k+ (sometimes 10k if the vibes are immaculate). Very rare category; something small may be missing, but they’re still amazing.
5 – Fics that are books. I want to print them out, frame them, and give the author all my money. Also where I save art.
