Summary
Following the death of Dracula, Alucard could only feel the guilt that always seemed to pursue him throughout his immortal life. Returning to the castle he was born in and killing his own father reminded him of his true nature. A dhampir, a monster, like him had no place living amongst humans.
After being freed from Shaft’s possession, Richter is overcome with shame and remorse. Even if the dark priest had controlled his actions, he truly wished to resurrect Dracula and experience the thrill of battle once more. He was a pathetic excuse for a vampire hunter, forever tarnishing the Belmont legacy.
However, Alucard had saved Richter’s life that night.
Alucard only wishes to rid himself of the world and fall into another eternal slumber, but Richter refuses to let him throw himself away.

Richter was everything a Belmont should be: strong, intelligent, dedicated to defeating Dracula, and perfect in every way. He had trained for his destiny since he was a child. He vanquished creatures of the night efficiently and brutally. He cared deeply about his family and community. Above all, he was determined to protect humanity.
When a small town located on the edge of the forest asked him for help, Richter was quick to accept. The town was plagued by grisly murders each month, always on the night of a full moon. Both humans and animals were found dead. Richter decided to get to the bottom of the mystery and save the townspeople from the monster lurking in the night.
Or, Richter succumbs to his desires under a full moon in a dark forest.

A year after Richter defeated Dracula, Annette is still coping with the trauma of her kidnapping at the hands of the Dark Lord. She keeps most of her problems to herself, as she doesn't want to feel like a burden to her loved ones.
One Spring day, a woman with long red hair and unnaturally pale skin comes to Aljiba. Her name is Serena. She claims that her hometown of Aldra was destroyed by Dracula's forces. Out of empathy and her natural kindness, Annette offers Serena to come live with her, and she accepts.
However, life in Aljiba and beyond slowly takes a turn for the worst. Numerous townspeople go missing. Richter begins seeing and hearing odd things in the Belmont Mansion.
Annette starts to question if Serena really is a stranger.
