The slimy mucous coating everything, the pools of saliva and goodness knows what else, the squishy, rough texture under his boots and then his hands when he has to roll or climb; Link worries he’ll never be able to get himself or his clothes clean after this."
Link is a few sensations short of a panic attack, but somehow he manages to convince himself not to just ditch the princess and retire early in the Lost Woods.

Summary
Link grew up in a forest, was raised by the forest life, surrounded by forest children who ask questions incessantly. The Know It All Brothers ask the most, know the most, but the others don't slouch. They ask the forest what everything is, they learn which things are safe to eat and touch and which are dangerous. Some of them garden, some of them gather harvest from the woods, some of them are better at cooking and some are better at making medicines. They work together in their small community to live happy lives. Even Mido: a jerk, but still the boss. And so they all pull together to work out a hand signing language with and for Link, who can't often find his voice to speak.
A neurodivergent, frequently nonverbal Link, armed with botanical knowledge and plagued by prophetic nightmares, takes on the world.
I'm masochistic and want to do a ficlet for every important scene in the game.

Summary
Gaara silently watched them together, an ugly feeling curling in his stomach. Sasuke and Naruto. What a strange sight. Of all the bright people who would compliment Naruto’s brilliance, he chooses one whose gloom drags him down. Gaara silently took a sip of his sake as the couple made themself comfortable at the bar. He couldn’t help but belatedly think that he would be better for Naruto. At the very least, he’d treat him better.
It wasn't until he saw Sasuke, the true Sasuke, for himself that he realized just how wrong he was.

"My brother signed me up for the show as a joke and the producers thought it would be a fun twist." He's instructed to take off his shirt and do a spin for the camera. He can't imagine what they're going to do with the footage, but he knows he's going to murder his brother when he gets out of here.
