Summary
Despite how small he looks lying in the bed with all his injuries, the Bradley in front of them looks much older than the last time Tom saw him when he got his wings. There’s a familiar mustache growing above his lip, and the once-golden hair has taken on a much darker shade. Pete would call him the spitting image of Goose, but all Tom can see is his son.
“Dad? Is that you?” Bradley mumbles, voice rough from the crash. He doesn’t open his eyes, but he turns to face where Pete is. “Mav?”
Pete looks like he might be having another panic attack, but he grabs onto Bradley’s hand – the one that doesn’t lead to a ruined shoulder – and brings it to his lips. “I’m here, Baby Goose,” He whispers softly as he hides his face in their hands. “You’re okay, baby. I promise everything is gonna be alright now.”

“Lieutenant Seresin, what did you do to him?! Bradley!”
“Calm down, man!” Hando snaps just as Seresin turns around, a look of apprehension on his face as he finally replies, “He’s alright, I promise. He’s just – smaller.”
Pete almost doesn’t understand what he means but his eyes flicker down to Seresin’s chest, to the tiny head of blond hair and suddenly he realizes what he’s looking at. Because even if he couldn’t recognize his son by his haircut – plus/minus thirty years, mind you – the flight suit he’s currently drowning in and the familiar helmet abandoned by Seresin’s feet are dead giveaways for who the kid in his arms is.
“Baby Goose?” Pete mutters faintly just as the world turns back.

“Bradley’s boyfriend?” Maverick says slowly, like he’s still mulling over the words. “My Brad?”
“Well, he’s my Bradley now, I’d say.” Jake jokes a beat too quick, too used to the unsubtle poking and prodding whenever someone’s trying to work out if Bradley is single. “Sir.”
“Huh,” Maverick says and leans back in his chair.
He lets his eyes wander over Jake before finding Bradley across the room, lingering on his face for a moment as he turns back to face Jake with an unreadable look. “That’s not what I would have guessed. You’re not his usual type.”
Jake’s heart stops for a second.
The feeling of absolute panic of outing Bradley to his father tears through his body until the tips of his fingers tingle with stress, before he remembers how open Bradley had been with his sexuality when the two of them met. But the relief of the realization is short-lived as Maverick’s word still leaves him with a bad taste in his mouth.
“If I may, Captain. What the fuck does that mean?” Jake asks.

“Clark uh, called me your boyfriend.” Tim says.
Conner sucks in a deep breath, and then lets it go just as quickly, “Oh? That’s – weird.”
Tim cuts him a sharp look, “Is it? Because usually, middle-aged men with conservative opinions on sexuality don’t just assume that their sons are dating their best friends.”
“Well, Clark’s always been progressive for –“ The words on his lips die quickly when the look in Tim’s eyes goes from unimpressed to annoyed. “I told him I have a boyfriend,” Conner says instead, voice soft and shaking his head when Tim still hasn’t stopped staring. “And I just, couldn’t think of anyone but you, Timmy."
"Why would you do that, Kon?"
“Don’t make me say it, Timmy.” Conner is ready to beg before the words are even out of his mouth. “You know why, Tim. There’s no reason to make this worse.”

Henry is not going to tell her he’s been thirst stalking her brother’s Tiktok account for weeks now.

“Hazza,” Pez greets. “Who is this?”
“This is John,” Henry introduces. He passes Bea her soda, June her cocktail, and sets his own drink down in front of Alex. And sure, Alex isn’t jealous, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel a little…possessive every now and again. He doesn’t move to give Henry his spot back, still taking up more space on the bench, and Henry puts his hand on John’s shoulder, continuing, “He’s a law student.”
John preens a little bit at the attention, and Bea snorts into her drink. Henry, for his part, doesn’t seem to notice anything. Instead, Henry turns, takes Alex’s beer out of John’s hand, and drops down directly on Alex’s lap. He hands over the beer, leaving his own hand wrapped loosely around Alex’s wrist as Alex takes a sip.
“What year?” Alex asks as John gawks.
