“I have come across a matter that might be aided by someone with your… particular expertise,” Franziska said, with the ever so hesitant tone of someone who had reluctantly acknowledged that spirit channeling existed but wasn’t quite sure what they thought of it yet. It was a surprisingly specific tone that Maya had come to recognize over the years. “Are you available for consultation?”
“Consultation, huh? I don’t know,” Maya teased. “The fee for consultation with the Master of Kurain is pretty hefty, Franziska. Are you sure you’re willing to pay it?”
There was a brief pause on the other end of the call, and then Franziska responded, “I am sure that appropriate payment can be arranged with Interpol.”
“I - no, that was - I was kidding.” Truthfully, she’d been ready to propose that Franziska take her out for burgers afterwards.

A summary of the case sits by his right hand, more a formality than anything else; he’s memorized its contents. A von Karma never presents anything less than a perfect case. Miles is not a von Karma, but he knows reading the autopsy report until his eyes burn can at least make him a passing imitation.
And yet, despite all the evidence, despite his dedication and his meticulous preparation, his stomach churns.
At the stand, Fey’s eyes are red. He doesn’t know if they’re bloodshot from lack of sleep or time spent fighting off tears, but experience tells him it's likely both. Miles shivers.
Maya Fey is only a child. She wouldn’t—couldn’t—have done this to anyone, much less her own sister.

Given the…current events, it was not uncommon for Phoenix Wright to get an unexpected knock on his door. Reporters, fans, angry mothers, for crying out loud—everyone felt as if they had something to say that Phoenix hadn’t heard already, and absolutely needed to know. It should go without saying that he ignored all unexpected knocks on his door.
However, unexpected knocks on the door aren’t usually followed by a familiar voice—feminine, with a hint of a German accent and rage.
“Phoenix Wright! I demand you open this door this instant!”
2019: Phoenix Wright is freshly disbarred, disgraced, and a single father. An unexpected guest turns up at their door, and she helps much more than they ever expected.
