Summary
“I kind of missed you,” Jisung laughs, and scratches the back of his neck.
“Me too.” Minho’s a coward who rarely says it first, but he’ll always echo the sentiment with honesty.

Summary
The sweetness in the summer air is redolent of childhood, of carefree laughter and dripping sweat and slapping footsteps. Of wispy yellowing grass, of sticky red berries, of lethargic orange tabbies.
“Guess who’s back,” Jisung shoots for nonchalant but his resulting grin is tenuous at best. “Surprise?”

Summary
Five years since Jisung has last seen him, Minho appears on his doorstep talking about two things:
(1) The marriage pact they had made, only partially a joke, when Jisung had been nineteen.
(2) That there might not be a future, not for either of them and not for anyone, because the world was quite possibly going to end in five months.

Summary
“I’m never sitting in a car with you again,” Minho teases, and Jisung laughs loudly, brashly, the sound half echoing around the car and half whisked away by the wind brushing their open windows.
“Unfortunately, like you said,” Jisung retorts, “You’re stuck with me in this car the whole week.”
Minho snorts and glances at Jisung’s hands, now dutifully wrapped around the steering wheel. Truth be told, Minho would definitely sit in a car with Jisung again, and they both know it. The sentiment holds especially true here—with a boisterously-grinning Jisung to his left and the rolling blue Pacific to his right, there’s nowhere else he’d rather be.
(Two best friends, the summer before Minho’s last year of college, and a thousand miles on the road.)

Summary
“You’re back.” Changbin's hands have slackened around the handles of his bike. He’s surprised.
“Yeah,” Seungmin can only say. It’s the understatement of the year. Or six years, given that the last time they saw each other face-to-face was before Seungmin left for college and subsequently only sent back radio silence.
That silence continues now, as the air hangs thickly between them. For a while Changbin only stares at him as if he doesn’t trust Seungmin to not be a ghost, and then his mouth finally curls up into an ever-familiar grin.
But rather than any sentimental comment or cheeky remark Seungmin expects to hear, Changbin’s next words only provoke confusion:
“There’s something I think you should see.”
(In the spirit of rekindling old passions, Seungmin visits his hometown and expedites inevitable confrontation with his first love, Changbin. The two of them toe the lines separating friendship and romance, and unearth answers to an intriguing town mystery along the way.)

Summary
“I always liked you guys together. I guess you could say that we…” his friend paused, giving them a mischievous grin. “We ship it.”
Everyone groaned, but Jisung smiled as he reached down to pick up the cruise voucher. He thought of the small polaroid taken years ago, in another life. He turned the picture over in his mind, though he already knew what was written on the back. Smooth, small letters written with a steady hand in deep blue ink: "I never felt like I’ve ever truly had a home, until I met you."
He secretly kind of shipped it, too.

Or; the one where a raffle ticket mix-up finds an estranged Jisung and Minho sharing an all-expenses-paid cruise to Alaska. First love has a funny way of coming back into his life, and after five years apart Jisung thinks it should be a lot more awkward than it is to have a vacation fling with The One That Got Away. Over the course a week with glaciers, hyperactive puppies, and an all-inclusive drink package, they are are forced to make a decision- repeat history, or take a second chance on first love.

might be my favorite fic i’ve read this year. beautiful and delicious writing, paired with depth and nuance in the characters. and that final twist… did not see that coming. a story on growing up, rediscovering relationships with family/friends, and on learning what it means to love & be loved.

Summary
Renjun looks at Mark so much, he begins to feel like he knows him as well as his own reflection in a mirror. Some days, Mark stares past Renjun like he can hardly stand to look at him. Some days, his gaze is soft, and falls upon Renjun like the first few gentle flakes of snow.
When Renjun feels affection for him like this, he knows he paints him better. He thinks maybe it hurts them both, every time he brings the brush to the canvas.
