great and interesting characterization! its so rare to see an Authentic shadow. i could really see the way he's written here being pulled right from 2005. theres not enough stories that effectively explore sonic and shadows dynamic while staying true to shadows meanness/genuine indifference (and balancing his goodness). the whole thing just felt so genuine, and the details are so good- sonic knowing shadows body language well enough to tell when he's about to start speaking, the damage to his ears after years of breaking-the-sound-barrier-hero-work, shadow being a living healing unit...!! just SUCH good concepts. an honest exploration of the dynamic of these two that doesn't inflate how important they are in eachothers lives. i would love to see more of their dynamic from this writer, especially in new contexts, and especially as their dynamic progresses!!!!
