Summary
In limbo after Sam goes to Stanford and John heads out on a solo hunt, and short on cash, Dean takes a job that just may be more dangerous than the one he already has: crab fishing in the Bering Sea. This is not quite a crossover with "Deadliest Catch," but borderline.

“Sammy,” says Dean again, urgency cracking his voice. “We gotta — we really gotta go. I need you to — just — remember Poughkeepsie? Drop everything, no questions asked, and run? This is a — a Poughkeepsie situation. Please, man, I need you.”
Sam remembers Poughkeepsie.

"Tell your sister…you were right."
“I’ll tell her,” he promised, and it came out as a sob but he said it, because at least he was getting to say his goodbye this time. “I will. Is there…anything else you want me to tell Leia, father?”
His father's eyes opened, for an instant of horror. Luke still couldn’t make out the color, in this light. “Leia?” the man who had ceased to be Darth Vader whispered. And then, “No.”
The threads of life he’d felt slipping away were clutched fiercely now, as though for the first time since the Emperor’s death—for the first time in Luke’s lifetime possibly—his father had a reason to survive.
Nothing can stop that now, he’d said when he got Luke to take away his respirator, but apparently he was still enough the Anakin Skywalker who they said had done twelve impossible things per campaign during the Clone Wars, that having said himself that it couldn’t be done was no reason not to try.
