Yamaguchi forced himself to swallow, clearing his parched throat as he tried to regain his composure.
“Hey... ah... um... do you need anything?” he stammered, his fingers nervously twisting the hem of his knitted sweater. “Are you hungry? I’m Yamaguchi Tada—”
“Tadashi. Yamaguchi Tadashi.” Kei’s voice interrupted him. It was a low, gravelly morning rasp that sent an involuntary shiver down Yamaguchi’s spine. “Of course I know who you are. You’re the only one in this house who’s forgotten anything.”
The remark felt like a slap—cold, sharp, and strangely offensive. Yamaguchi felt a flush of heat rise to his cheeks, but he pushed the feeling down. He reminded himself that he was the host, and this was a man who had clearly been through an ordeal.
“Right. Of course,” Yamaguchi said, trying to maintain a polite smile. “I mean... you know me. And I know you... or, at least, I used to know you. Before the accident. Um—”
“You’ve grown beautiful.”

“Congratulations on getting nine out of ten questions correct! Without further ado, let’s move on to the last question..” Hanazawa paused for dramatic effect as the lights dimmed and the spotlights overhead honed in on their podiums.
“What is … your hero partner’s type?”
A brief silence.
“‘Type?’” Izuku questioned at the same time as Kacchan.
“Yes, type,” the host laughed. “Like, who would they date? What are they into?”
The blood drained from Izuku’s face and he shot a panicked look at Kacchan. The blond didn’t seem to be faring any better, his gaze zeroed in on Hanazawa as if he could will her to change the question to something else.
Izuku... didn't know the answer to that.
