Bakugou groaned as he jerked awake. Somebody was ringing his doorbell. In the middle of the night. While he was sleeping. He groaned again and squinted at what time it was on his phone. “Who the fuck goes around ringing doorbells at 02:00?” He muttered at nobody in particular. He clambered out of the bed and started dragging his feet to the apartment door, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. The ringing didn’t cease, and now there was a voice accompanying it.
“-atsuki. Katsuki. Katsuki.”
What the fuck. Was that fucking Shouto at his door? At 02:00 in the fucking morning?
Bakugou swung the door open with no small amount of aggression and focused his gaze on Todoroki. “What do you need so bad to wake me up at this motherfucking time?” He said, irritatedly. There was a brief moment of silence.
“I’m hungry.”
The blond stared at him in shock, and the other just stared back, unperturbed. “So you… woke me up because you wanted... food?” Bakugou received a nod in reply. “What, were you unable able to get food delivered?”
“... I wanted to eat your food though.” Todoroki lowered his gaze to the floor, only just realising how unreasonable this actually was. Bakugou sighed, not wanting his partner to look so dejected. “Fucking hell, just come in already - you're freezing my apartment.” Seeing Todoroki’s expression brighten made him feel a little less aggrieved.
They walked back in and Bakugou pushed Todoroki onto a seat at the table. “You stay here and I’ll make some food for both of us,” he grumbled. Todoroki started protesting at that. “But I already woke you up, can’t I help?” He tried to get up but Bakugou pushed him back down again. “You came here for my food, so you’ll be getting my food. Now stay put.” Bakugou smirked and patted his head and Todoroki batted his hand away with a tiny pout on his face.
He walked into the kitchen to think about what he could make. Soba was Shouto’s favourite, but he was too tired to make something with that level of complexity at the moment. He eventually landed on making some simple curry rice. After some time had passed, there was a pleasant aroma throughout the apartment. He started plating up the food and brought two plates to the table. Todoroki’s eyes widened in excitement upon seeing the food, bringing a small smile to the other boy’s face. He took a seat and they started eating in comfortable silence.
When they had both finished, Todoroki immediately picked up their dishes and took them over to the sink before Bakugou could do anything about it. “You cooked so I’ll clean up at least.” The taller boy insisted. Bakugou complied, feeling too lazy to do them anyway. He sat back down at the table and closed his eyes.
After about a minute, he heard the tap turn off. He suddenly yelped when he couldn't feel the chair underneath him anymore. He glared up into Todoroki smirking face above his own. “Let go of me you fucker, my legs aren’t broken you know,” he hollered as Todoroki carried him towards Bakugou’s bedroom. He put him under the sheets and proceeded to climb in himself.
He wrapped his arms around his boyfriend and they started falling asleep quite quickly. Before they did, Todoroki opened his eyes again and shook Bakugou. When he saw red eyes looking back at him, he smiled slightly. “I love you Katsuki.” he murmured.
“Yeah yeah, love you too.” They soon fell asleep to the sound of each other’s slow, steady breaths.
