Work Text:
Kiryu tensed, mechanically, every time he heard a car approach the orphanage. They were at the very end of the street and not many people came here - they preferred the parts of the beach with the ice-cream kiosks and the iced tea stands. And, historically, the amount of times a car parking outside Morning Glory brought trouble greatly outweighed the times it didn’t. So when an expensive looking car parked with a tire screech, Kiryu was immediately in Alert Mode, and only one look was needed between him and Haruka to be on the same page. If anything happened, protect the kids first, at all costs.
Haruka relaxed immediately when she recognized the man climbing out of the driver’s seat. Kiryu’s heart, on the other hand, seemed to jump right out of his mouth. There was only one reason why Nishida would come all the way here and it could not be good.
Nishida was wrestling a huge suitcase out of the trunk when a foot clad in a vertiginous golden leather sandal touched down on Okinawa land.
Ok, so there were two reasons why Nishida would come here, and this one was, potentially, less catastrophic. At least potentially.
The sight of Goromi in a blindingly white sundress, shading her eye from the bright midday sun that made her waist length blonde hair shimmer like spun gold, did not do anything to placate Kiryu’s furious heartbeat, however.
“Aunt Goromi!” squealed Haruka, always faster on the uptake and already halfway through the yard where the kids were just now looking up at the stranger in expensive clothes.
Goromi caught Haruka like she weighed nothing, and spun her into a hug. “Haruka-chan! Yer growin’ like a weed out here in the sticks! Soon you’ll be taller’n your daddy!”
“What are you doing here in Okinawa? You should have called!”
“Believe it or not, even a gal like me needs a holiday sometimes!” She gently lowered Haruka, and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Hope I’m not imposin’? I can always get a hotel in town…”
“Absolutely not,” said Haruka firmly, turning to look at Kiryu as if he was going to say he didn’t want her here. “As long as you don’t mind sharing a room with uncle Kaz,” she said, very, very pointedly.
Kiryu was quickly realizing adolescence was making Haruka a menace.
“Of course I don’t mind. Guess we’ll squeeze tight,” said Goromi, her gaze never leaving Kiryu’s, hotter than the sun beating down on the beach.
A menace, especially when she had a partner in crime.
Haruka dragged Goromi through the entrance, and Kiryu rose to his feet, and time seemed to stop as they met midway, close enough to smell the floral tickle of her perfume but not quite close enough to touch her.
“Long time no see,” he said quietly, unable to stop looking into her eye as her rough calloused fingers rested on his forearm, so warm, so gentle.
“‘Bout time I came visit, huh?”
Her lips were plump with a shiny orange lipstick, and Kiryu really, really wanted to know if it tasted like fruit, too.
And then the roar of a dozen kids surrounding them broke in, and the moment was lost.
“Miss miss do you come from Tokyo?”
“Uncle Kaz, is she your girlfriend?”
“How do you walk in those shoes?”
Kiryu was about to be overwhelmed when Haruka clapped her hands loudly. “What have I told you all about crowding new people?”
They all took a reluctant step back, their eyes still glued up to Goromi’s incredible height. She tossed her long hair back with a brilliant smile, and then bowed deeply. “Nice to meet you. Name’s Goromi, I am indeed from Tokyo, and I’m an old friend of yer uncle.” She glanced over at Izumi. “And I can teach you how to make heels like these a breeze, later.”
Izumi beamed so bright Kiryu damn near kissed Goromi on the spot. She had her male side’s natural skill with kids, it looked like.
“Boss? Goromi-san?”
Goromi groaned. “Oh my god Nishida are you still here.”
“Well…”
“Go! Scram! We’ve already left the family in Minami’s hands long enough.”
Nishida paled. “Y-yes! I’ll be back when…”
“When I call ya.”
“When the chai----when Dojima-san tells me to come pick you up, Goromi-san.”
Goromi deflated with a sigh, and in that brief moment Kiryu saw the paleness under the blush, the exhaustion in her shoulders. It was gone in an instant. “Fine. Now fuck off.”
“Language,” said Kiryu automatically as all the kids started buzzing because she’d said a cuss.
“Fu…fudge off. Whatever. Outta my sight!”
Nishida bowed quickly, smiled hopefully at Kiryu, and with a wave at Haruka, he was back in the car and maneuvering it around to leave. Haruka immediately enlisted the older boys to bring the suitcase inside, and Goromi gracefully slumped onto the shaded porch, wiping hair out of her face.
Kiryu sat down next to her, and offered her a cigarette. She took it gratefully. When she moved, the vibrant lines of her tattoos peeked through the white, gauzy material of her dress. She stretched her long legs out with a happy groan. Her toenails were the same orange as her lipstick, and Kiryu had had to resort to enough tween magazines on the toilet to know it was this summer’s trendy color. Fashionable as always.
“Looks nice,” she said, looking up and around. “Wouldn’t be able to tell this place was a ruin four months ago.”
“The people you sent worked around the clock.” It had been nice to see the old faces from Majima Construction, and even nicer not to have to spend a yen on the renovations. He hadn’t been allowed to, under pain of death. “Thank you, by the way.”
She waved her hand, trailing smoke in sharp angles. “Couldn’t leave ya and the lil tykes out on the street, could I? It was kinda my fault, after all.”
It wasn’t, but Kiryu didn’t feel like pressing the issue.
“So what do I owe the pleasure?” he said after a while as she relaxed. “What was that about Daigo?”
Goromi blew out smoke with an eyeroll. “He was very adamant I take a holiday, and not put foot in Kamurocho until I was thoroughly rested.”
“Did something happen?”
A faint blush crawled up the back of her neck. “He might have collapsed in the middle of a meeting.”
“What? Daigo? I thought he was healed…” Kiryu was already halfway on his feet when she stopped him with a hand on his wrist. Her nails were short, and painted in glittery, golden yellow. Her grip was as strong as ever.
“Not him. Daigo is fine. I mean, ya know. Him.”
Oh. Kiryu sat down again, turning his hand to cup Goromi’s warm palm. “Are you alright?”
“‘M fine,” she said sullenly. “There was just a lot of work to do when ya left, and three families in disarray, and Daigo was still recovering, and…” She smiled. “Guess I ain’t twenty anymore, and pullin’ 48 hours without sleepin’ is a bit too much.”
“Goromi.”
“Tell him! I’m not the one who was up beatin’ up dudes all night!”
Kiryu rolled his eyes. “I’ll be sure to tell him off if he shows up. Speaking of which, why are you here? You know I wouldn’t mind.”
“Yer already too known ‘round here for what happened,” she said quietly. “And he’s pretty high-profile, if ya get my drift. Didn’t wanna cause ya trouble. And...I haven’t had the chance to have some time to myself in a while.”
“Makes sense.” He gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
“And as for why I’m here….” She looked up into his eyes, and Kiryu could see just how tired she was, and once again felt guilty for leaving them behind to take care of his messes. “Figured seein’ my Kiryu-chan would make me feel better in a snap.”
Kiryu smiled, and was debating dragging her upstairs to get a headstart on her feeling better, when suddenly Taichi and Koji were standing in front of them, twitching with that nervous energy of uncomfortable curiosity young boys had endless reserves of.
“Goromi-san?” said Taichi. “Are...are you….”
“Are you an okama?” blurted out Koji.
Kiryu’s jaw tensed. He had not taught them that word, and he definitely had not taught them it was okay to ask that to a stranger.
But Goromi was unfazed. She leaned back on her hands, stretched out to her full, imposing lean length, and smiled like a dangerous, lazy panther, looking both boys right in the eyes. “Would there be a problem if I were?”
Koji and Taichi paled. Obviously, they had not actually thought about it, and were just parroting things they’d heard. The other kids were still playing, but quieter, stealing glances, listening in.
“I...guess...not?” said Taichi finally.
“That’s right. Ain’t a problem ‘cause okama are people just like everybody else.” Her smile was sharp like a razor, and made Kiryu’s insides feel funny. “I’m a gal, for the record. Just not always.”
Both boys nodded, embarrassed and confused.
“We’re going to have a talk about asking very personal questions to strangers, later,” said Kiryu, and they both looked down. The rest of the kids pretended to play harder. “Now go back to your siblings.”
Goromi crossed her legs at the ankles, smug but with a soft tinge in her voice. “Tell ‘em I don’t mind talkin’ about...queer things, long as yer polite about it.”
Both boys nodded sharply and ran off, grateful to be released.
“Queer things….?”
“I’m sure yer a great daddy, Kiryu-chan, but somethin’ tells me you ain’t told them much past the birds and the bees.”
Kiryu felt the heat shoot up to his face.
Goromi pushed his chin up with a long finger. “Ain’t nothing wrong with that. Some of these matters can only be discussed with your uncle’s gender-bender girlfriend.”
Kiryu smiled. “Oh, you’re my girlfriend now? What happened to I can’t be tied down, Kiryu-chan?”
“Gal’s gotta play hard to get, ya know.”
Kiryu looked into her eye and decided that if he didn’t do something, he was definitely going to end up being extremely inappropriate right in the hallway, so he got up. “Anyway. Want to go swimming?”
Goromi’s eye widened. She looked at the glittering blue sea behind Kiryu. “That’d be lovely. I bought a new swimsuit I can’t wait to show ya.”
Oh. Oh no. Ohhh, no. This was going to be a long day. Kiryu ripped himself from the thoughts of her beautiful body and clapped. “Go put on your swimsuits if you wanna come swimming with us!”
All the kids trampled inside as a single unit, clamoring loudly about beach volleyball and swimming challenges. Haruka peeked from the door. “Aunt Goromi, your suitcase is in Uncle Kaz’s room, if you want to get changed. I’ll show you where it is.”
“Thank you, sweetie,” she said, loosening the latches on her sandals and quickly slipping them off. They dangled in her hands as she sashayed barefoot after Haruka down the hallway, white dress brushing the dark edges of her tattoo.
Kiryu put his head in his arms, breathing in deep. This was going to be such a long day.
***
Haruka shot him the smuggest grin as she passed him upstairs. She really was a menace. Kiryu slid the door of his room open and managed a flash of tattooed skin and white fabric before Goromi squealed.
“Who taught ya to walk in on a gal getting dressed? For shame, Kiryu-chan.”
Kiryu walked in, looking away from her even though he could, still to this day, trace every last line of that body in his mind’s eye. Still his fingers shook as he unbuttoned his shirt, because she was there, tall and solid and warm and real, in his room. Hearing her breathe, the rustling of clothes in the suitcase, the squirt of cream as she rubbed her makeup off - it was surreal in his messy room with the dog scratched tatami and the crayon drawings on the walls.
He quickly shuck off pants and underwear and pulled on his swimming trunks, still slightly damp from his morning swim. He was about to glance over his shoulder when large hands pressed on his back, cupping his shoulder blades, thumbing the horn of the dragon that rested on his spine.
“Nice tan, Kiryu-chan. Looks good on ya.” Her hands traveled down to the small of his back, cupping his hipbones, two fingers venturing past the waistband of his shorts. “Does it go all the way?”
Kiryu spun, grabbed her by the wrists, pushed back until he had them pinned to the opposite wall. A pocket circuit car fell off the bookshelf when Goromi’s ass was shoved onto it. “You’ll have to discover that yourself.”
He let go of her wrists to hold her up, and her arms looped at his neck. Most of her makeup aside from eyeliner was gone, showing just how pale the skin underneath was, bringing out the darkness of her eye. Her lips were still faintly orange with lipstick, and Kiryu was dying for a taste.
“Bad Kiryu-chan,” she murmured, hooking a leg over his hip, bare heel pressed against his ass. “Yer gonna make a right mess of my tuck if ya keep this up.”
Kiryu looked down. She was wearing a white bikini, with thick golden triangles catching the light, the strap tied behind her neck stark against the deep black of her ink, the large knot tying the cups together nested snugly between the dark clouds. Her bottoms were tied with strings on her hips, already pushed out of place with arousal. Kiryu wanted to undo those flimsy bows, and eat her out right here, right now.
“That would be….bad,” he breathed, sliding a hand between their bodies to smooth down the….situation, tucking her back securely with two fingers.
“God, yer gonna kill me,” she moaned, throbbing in his palm. Kiryu swallowed the noise with his mouth. Her lips did not taste like oranges. They tasted like the rude, smart mouth he liked to kiss the most in the world. It was much better than oranges.
Right on cue as he was about to undo all her hard work with the bikini, the kids started clamoring for him.
“Sorry,” he mumbled, his lips waxy with lipstick and her scent all over him like storm clouds. “Duty calls.”
“And we all know how dutiful ya can be, Kiryu-chan.”
Her foot lingered on the back of his thigh just for a second too long, enough that Kiryu thought she was going to tell him to get on his knees, and he had time to wish she would, before she hopped off the shelf, crouching back into her suitcase. “Go on, go on. I’ll be down in a minute.”
Kiryu joined the kids downstairs, towels for the whole gang conveniently hanging in his arms over his front until he could stop thinking of Goromi’s lips. Just as he corralled them out in the yard, she came down the stairs as well. She had tied a crimson pareo on her hip, the sheer silk folds swaying hypnotically around her legs with each step. She’d tied her hair in a large braid, and she also was wearing the biggest sunhat Kiryu had ever seen. How did that even fit in a suitcase, he had no idea.
“Can’t ruin my beautiful complexion in this sun, now can I,” she grinned, and tossed a bottle of sunscreen at Kiryu.
“Goromi-san, you have tattoos too!” shouted Mitsuo, his eyes big as dinner plates.
“Dang right I do, and they’re much prettier than your uncle’s!” She spun dramatically on the porch, lifting her arms over her head to show the full expanse of the Hannya. Kiryu had rarely heard such an awed noise coming out of them all at once.
“Didn’t it hurt?” asked Riona.
“Of course it did! Especially on the butt!” All the kids laughed. “But it’s pretty, ain’t it? The pain is what makes it pretty.”
She lowered a pair of excessively bedazzled red flip-flops into the dirt and slipped into them, linking her arm with Kiryu’s as they made their way across the road and onto the beach.
“A-aren’t you scared….of the demon on your back?” quietly enquired Eri, struggling to keep up while carrying a cooler of drinks as big as her.
Goromi crouched down at her height, taking the cooler so smoothly Eri let her without even flinching. “Oh, her? Nah. We’re cool. She protects me. She ain’t evil, just very lonely and sad.”
“W-why is she sad?”
Goromi tugged a couple of towels out of Kiryu’s arms, lying them out on the sand. “Some bad men abandoned and betrayed her. But don’t worry, I’m lookin’ out for her now.”
Eri nodded, apparently satisfied. Goromi rose to her feet, untied the pareo and let it drop into the sand, reveling in the kids’ curious eyes as they realized just how far down the tattoo went.
“Now - last in the water does the dishes tonight!” and sprinted for the sea at top speed, quickly followed by all the kids shrieking with laughter.
Kiryu finished throwing down the towels and joined in, accepting his fate and the water splashed at him for losing. He dunked Goromi so hard even the girls hooted, and he completely deserved that pinch in the ass for it. Goromi swam like a shark around the giggling children, and re-emerged with Eri on her shoulders.
“Who here dares challenge us, the unbeatable sea vixens!” she hollered.
Eri, too flushed to be her usual shy self, struck a wrestling pose.
Riona whooped with laughter as she was lifted right out of the water on Kiryu’s shoulders and together they charged at the fearful duo. Eri and Goromi won, but lost to the unbeatable team-up of Mitsuo on Taichi’s shoulders, possibly because Taichi was submerged most of the time and the fight needed to be extremely short before he drowned. The battle went on until they were all aching with laughter, dragging themselves and their fallen teammates back on shore. The already warming off-brand cokes tasted so much better like this.
“Hey,” said Goromi, plopping down in front of Kiryu and handing him the sunscreen over her shoulder. “Mind butterin’ me up, Kiryu-chan?”
He didn’t mind. He didn’t mind at all, especially with the kids busy chasing waves with Mame. He pushed her braid over her shoulder, taking a second to straighten a couple of the bobby pins that had gotten jostled out of place in the water and brush his thumb across the fuzz of her undercut. It was a little overgrown, but it still did the trick, and Goromi’s head lolled forward with a happy sigh.
The sunscreen was thicker than cottage cheese and incredibly greasy, and Kiryu took his time massaging her broad shoulders, kneading tension out of her back as the white paste was slowly absorbed into black and red and gold. Goromi made a little warning sound when Kiryu’s fingers “casually” tugged at the golden strings holding up her bottoms, but she sighed low in her throat when he slipped his fingers under the strap of her top, massaging slick spirals closer and closer to her nipples but never touching them.
“Yer the worst, Kiryu-chan,” she breathed, looking over her shoulder, and if Haruka hadn’t come over to ask him to put up the volleyball net, he would have definitely kissed her neck, and more.
Getting his and all the other boys’ ass kicked by the girl team distracted him enough, even if sometimes Goromi would jump unreasonably high to spike the ball right in his face and her eye would be burning with a heat he ached for more than ever.
They were all breaded with sand like onion rings when they finally went back to the house, the kids tracking sand everywhere as they clamored down the hall to the large bath room. Goromi waited until the door slammed behind the last one before looking around.
“Are they all gone?”
Kiryu nodded, heading for the kitchen to at least put on some rice before the ravenous horde came out of the bath.
“Oh thank god,” she sighed, sticking both hands under the large towel she had wrapped around her. A moment later, her bikini bottoms hit the floor with a wet slap and she sighed happily “You have no idea how much sand I had trapped in my taint.”
Kiryu nearly dropped the jug of water he was filling the rice cooker with. He clicked the machine on, and made his way back to Goromi. “You’re always such a classy lady.”
“You’re not the one with half a beach packed in your undies, Kiryu-chan!”
He pushed her back gently until her shoulders hit the wall, his hands crawling up her thighs and under the towel, her skin sun-baked and gritty with sand. “There’s a smaller bathroom upstairs. You should go wash up.” He pressed his face to her neck. She smelled like the ocean, and coconut, and the kind of clean sweat that used to cling to their skin after a hard day’s work at the construction site. Or after a good, meaty fight.
Big hands squeezed his ass with enough force to hurt. “Wanna give me a hand?” Her voice was like a blade of pure heat in his gut.
He licked the pina colada flavored sand off her throat. “It’s not safe.”
Goromi pulled back to frown at him. “What?”
“Kids. In the bathroom. Safer if I’m around if something happens.” Yet his hands were still under her towel, thumbing the sharp spikes of her hips.
“Right.” Her lips were so hot on his ear as she whispered, “with our luck, one of the lil darlins would slip and break a leg the second I get yer dick in my mouth.”
Kiryu pressed her harder into the wall, and she laughed.
“Later,” grunted Kiryu. “Tonight.”
“I look forward to it,” she growled, hard and wet against Kiryu’s thigh.
Had they ever had a “later”? Or was every brief time they’d met a surge of nownowNOW, going at each other’s throats like animals just so things made sense for a few minutes? Was that why, even as he held her, Kiryu felt as if she was going to be gone if he looked away? He still couldn’t fully convince himself she was going to be here tomorrow, because they never were.
He let her go, and watched the towel cover nothing as she climbed the stairs. He needed a shower alright. A very cold one. He distracted himself with dinner to avoid thinking of squeezing himself into his small shower while she was in it, press himself all over her slender body, taste the water on her skin. He couldn’t distract himself much. When most of the kids made it out of the bathroom, he zipped upstairs, almost hoping to hear the water still running. It wasn’t, but she was still inside in a cloud of steam, carefully applying makeup in Kiryu’s water-stained old mirror. And wearing only a pair of panties. Tiny ones, deep blue, lace on her hips.
“You are doing this on purpose now,” he muttered, trailing a finger down her spine.
“What, you’d prefer I didn’t wear any panties? With all these kids around?”
“That’s not what I meant,” he chuckled against her shoulder. The lace tickled his palm as he slid his hand around her hip.
Oh.
She wasn’t tucked.
Nice.
He smiled into her skin and slipped his fingers in the small gap between satin and skin to trace her length with the blunt of his nails.
“Kiryu-chan.”
“Sorry,” he said, not sorry in the slightest.
“I ain’t gonna disappear if ya don’t keep yer sticky paws on me, ya know?”
Ah.
She’d noticed too.
Kiryu kissed her behind the ear and finally let go to enter the shower. It still smelled strongly of her, jasmine soap and coconut conditioner and a hint of musk. A couple of bright pink and red bottles had already joined his black ones.
It was oddly intimate to take a shower with her still in the room, both going about their business but keenly aware of the other, not quite relaxed enough to be domestic but desperately wanting it to be. He waited for her to leave before getting out, drying quickly and pulling on underwear and pants.
Goromi was in his room blowing her natural hair with a tiny hair dryer, her wig a tangled blonde mass on the table. Kiryu took the dryer from her hand and crouched behind her, carding his fingers in her fine hair and palming her undercut while she struggled to smooth out the wig with a large comb.
“I think I might hafta use a spare tonight,” she sighed, throwing it down in frustration.
Kiryu rubbed his thumb down the nape of her neck. “Keep the regular hair. It’s your best look.”
She blew a raspberry at his general direction. “Yer biased. Maybe tomorrow. Ain’t feeling femme enough without it.”
“Fair enough.”
She rolled around him to kneel by her suitcase and bury herself halfway into it. The embroidered hem of her blue, loose dress rode up so far Kiryu could see a flash of that blue lace and his heart skipped a beat. She finally sat back on her haunches, a long leather case in her hands.
“Packing heat?”
“Ha ha ha. Very funny.”
It was intriguing to be privy to her behind the scenes. It wasn’t much different than helping the Four Shine girls before opening time - the main difference being that Kiryu not only had had his head between those endless legs more than a few times, but he also couldn’t wait to be there again. Even small mundane things like the care she’d put in packing her wigs made his heart swell.
The spare wig was long and blonde - of course - but with bangs and falling in large sweeping waves instead of straight. Kiryu watched her put it on while he smoked out the window, the cicadas singing away the warm sticky sunset, and wished he could stretch this moment forever.
“Somethin’ missing,” she muttered, peering into her pocket mirror as she held it above her head.
“Headband,” said Kiryu.
She turned as if she’d just remembered he was even there. “Haw?”
“Do you have a headband? It’d look cute.”
Goromi nodded thoughtfully, then dug into the suitcase for a bright red and pink silk scarf she tied around her head. Her dress bared her shoulders, and the blonde waves tumbled over them when she fluffed them up, gold on black and pearl white.
Kiryu smiled. He was right. She was absolutely adorable.
***
The evening progressed normally, if one didn’t count the bright splash of color and laughter Goromi brought to their dining room. The boys had warmed up considerably to her, but the girls were all over her, serving her food, pouring her water, complimenting her dress. Izumi wanted to know if she would ever have abs like Goromi, but didn’t seem that enthusiastic when Kiryu offered to take her along on his morning run.
Kiryu remembered the challenge earlier and did the dishes. Goromi helped with the rinsing, their sides pressed together in front of the small sink, fingers brushing as they passed plates and cups back and forth.
There were fireflies blinking like falling embers all over the yard, so the kids raided the kitchen for jars and set out to capture as many as they could while the adults sat on the porch and smoked, shoulder to shoulder, quiet just because they didn’t have anything to add. Goromi held his hand when he told the kids that it was time get ready for bed and they all released their fireflies together in a shower of tiny frantic lights.
It always took a while to get everybody ready for bed even on a normal day, and Kiryu felt a vague anxiety that she’d be bored or getting too tired, but each time he came out of a room to go into another she was always in the corner of his eye, brushing her teeth and towering over the smaller kids on their stools, buttoning pajamas, chatting with Haruka outside her room. And then the house was dark and quiet, soft glow of reading lights and muffled whispers of goodnights slipping through the cracks under the doors, and only Kiryu and Goromi left on the threshold of the room they were supposed to share. Neither spoke. Kiryu turned on the smaller lamp on the shelf instead of the ceiling light in his room, and set down the futon and the spare down, overlapping a little because the floor was so narrow. He sat down in the middle, and looked up at Goromi, still standing by the door, nervously playing with the hem of her dress.
“Why Kiryu-chan,” she whispered. “I was all expectin’ ya to have jumped my bones by now.”
Kiryu extended his hand at her. “We have all night. And tomorrow. However long we want.”
She stepped forward onto the futons, taking his hand. “Would be nice if it were true,” she breathed.
Kiryu pulled suddenly. She wasn’t surprised, leaned into it, gracefully slid in his lap between his legs, propping hers on his thighs.
“Anytime you need it to be true, it’s here.” He pressed his lips to her bare shoulder. “Both of you. All of you.”
Kiryu ran his hands in her hair, found the strap of her eyepatch and carefully untied it, nudging it off with his nose to kiss the warped scar over her empty eye socket. He lowered the shoulder straps of her dress down her arms, kissing along her jawline as he went, cupping her hard, muscular breasts, flicking her nipples until she moaned.
“Shh,” he hissed, fingers on her lips. “Thin walls. Keep down that voice of yours.”
“Make me,” she growled, and bit his fingertip.
Kiryu shut her up with his mouth, pushed her back until she was flat on the futon, her hair fanned out like a golden sun. He kissed her and kissed her and kissed her more, her dress kicked and tugged off along with his shirt, Kiryu’s hands tracing all the lines he knew, the new scars that weren’t there the last time and the ones that had been there the first time and the ones he’d put there himself. He grabbed her by the knees, and Goromi laughed when he pulled her legs up over his shoulders, nipped and sucked at the sensitive skin of the inside of her thighs. Those blue panties had tiny silver stars scattered on the front, shimmering as the lace and satin stretched against her cock, already so hard it looked painful. Kiryu kissed every single star, tasted the slick precum through the shiny fabric, mouthed her until he couldn’t take it anymore and she was whimpering pleas.
He lowered the lace enough for her to pop out, shiny and hard, and swallowed her to the root.
“Fuck,” she strained through her teeth, and Kiryu was too busy choking on her cock to care if anybody heard. She gripped his hair hard enough to tear it off and thrust up into his throat, deep sharp thrusts that made Kiryu’s eyes water.
He loved it. He loved the way she took control and set the pace and led him - just like he loved the way he relinquished the same control and begged to get ruined, and loved the brilliant gray areas between the two that melted down control and roles and names until they were both stripped down to raw muscle and heat. It was exhilarating to be with somebody and never fully knowing who you were with, what was coming next. When Kiryu said he could never get a clear read, he meant it as a compliment.
He sucked and nipped and made himself drunk on her musk. His face was dripping with sweat and saliva and precum when he buried it between her legs. He ate her out, wet and sloppy, until she was arched entirely off the mattress, hissing and shaking in his arms. He made her come all over his face, two fingers working furiously in her and her nails in his scalp.
“God but I missed ya,” she panted, pulling him up to kiss him, lap the come off his cheek and eyelashes. Her wig was all lopsided, and Kiryu tasted the nylon between their mouths. He pulled back and clumsily tried to rearrange it. She laughed, and ripped it off in a shower of bobby pins.
Kiryu waited, just to be sure. But when she surged back against him she was still Goromi. Kiryu palmed her undercut possessively as she fumbled with his belt. He kicked off his pants as best as he could with her long body rubbing on him, touching everywhere she could reach, squeezing muscle, digging her nails into his skin. She bit his ear, hard, heavy breath washing down Kiryu’s flushed neck.
“I wanna fuck you,” she growled, trailing her nails up Kiryu’s thigh. “Can I fuck you, Kiryu-chan?”
He thought she’d never ask. “Yeah. Please.”
“Do you have stuff?”
Kiryu bit his lip. Did he? Maybe in the bathroom, stuffed in the back of the cabinet...did lube expire?
Goromi chuckled, and pressed a wet kiss to the tip of Kiryu’s nose. “Of course ya don’t. Don’cha worry, Goromi-chan’s got your back.”
Kiryu shivered even if it was not cold, feeling a little exposed and ridiculous, spread eagled on the floor and dripping sweat while Goromi dug into her suitcase for a sparkly snakeskin case filled to the brim with lube and condoms.
“Are you planning to stay a month?” he chuckled as she crawled back between his legs, a string of condoms hanging from her lips.
“Nah,” she said, and suddenly there were fingers, and cool slickness on Kiryu’s heated skin, and his eyes rolled back a little. “Was just planning on fuckin’ as much as possible.”
Kiryu would have gotten embarrassed if he hadn’t had three fingers already up his ass and a hot, hot mouth on his dick. As it was, he just gritted out a curse and dug his fingers in her broad shoulders.
Her breath washed over sensitive skin, cool and tingling. “Always so sensitive, Kiryu-chan….how long’s it been since somebody touched ya?”
Kiryu didn’t answer. They both knew the answer.
“Ya want it, Kiryu-chan?” she whispered, folding his legs back to press against him, lips tracing his jaw.
“Yeah,” he croaked. He cupped her face, kissed her soft, full mouth, bit the groan of her entering him into her bottom lip.
“Shit, yer so tight,” she grunted, shifting her angle a little, her voice slipping a little more masculine.
“Goromi,” said Kiryu, deep and slow, just to feel her shiver between his legs.
She palmed his face, stuck her thumb in his mouth, pink high on her cheekbones. “Say it again.”
“Goromi,” he gurgled around her thumb.
She thrust hard into him, a reward.
“Goromi-chan,” he gasped.
She ground against him so deep it felt like she was trying to nail him into the floor.
Kiryu whispered her name over and over, on her lips, on her throat, on her scar. She pressed her forehead to Kiryu’s, arms trembling with exertion at the sides of his head, trusting long and deep, until all Kiryu could feel was her, until everything melted into the brilliant colors Kiryu could feel in the heated moments of their fights. And in moments like this, eye to eye, breathing the same air, moving together, wiry muscles shifting and bouncing under his palms. They came apart together and for a long blissful moment there was nothing but each other, and everything felt good, and made sense.

The world filtered back in slowly as they laid nose to nose, legs still tangled. The flicker of a moth bouncing on the lamp. The crickets singing outside, the slow drone of the waves across the street. The warm breeze cooling sweat on their skin. The stickiness of drying lube. The soft creaking of the house, the hushed footsteps of somebody - probably Ayako, she always drank too much before bed - going to the bathroom. Pipes groaning in the walls. Goromi’s breath slowing down.
“Feeling better?” he murmured, allowing himself to wrap his arm around her waist. It wasn’t fully her that looked back, eye sleepy and unfocused and boundaries too tired and sated to be definite.
Kiryu liked this one just as much as any other.
“Ya sure know….how ta make me feel better, tha’s fer sure,” she slurred. Kiryu tilted his head to kiss the spot where the scar almost touched the brow.
“I’m going to take you into town tomorrow,” he said. He felt the caress of lashes on his cheek and the body getting heavier into his arms and kept going. “I will take you to my favorite chanpuru place. One of the arcades has a new DDR machine, you’re gonna love it….”
He filled his mouth with plans until words were slipping away from him, and for once fell asleep knowing he wasn’t going to wake alone.
Tomorrow was going to be another beautiful summer day.
