Chapter Text

December 17, 2017

Wade was standing inside the box truck, wearing a baby blue flap back hat. He also had a huge pair of black Versace sunglasses, yellow rubber cleaning gloves, and beat up red Converse. His shirt was a long sleeved black and white striped thing, cut low over his chest with glittery pink letters proclaiming him ‘Princess’. His pants were bleach stained purple sweat pants, tight at the ankle. All in all, he looked fantastiiiic.

Dopinder was staring at him while Wade judged the distance between the end of the truck and the front door. Yeah, he could make that. Easy Peasy Lemon Martini.

It took some coordination, but between Dopinder opening the doors and Wade lifting things and running like a bat out of hell, he managed to get everything moved into the building. He wished that the building was equipped with an elevator, but apparently the building was too old to wire one in. That was fine. At least he was getting his sweet, sweet two bedroom apartment. Game room, here he comes. And he only had to manhandle his things up to the third floor, instead of the fourth. The landlord had already gone through and placed heavy foam pads inside the windows, and taped them all down. Wade was still going to put up his three layer black out curtains, because he didn’t trust a soul, but it would be fine. The apartments were no smoking, after all.

Finally, after three hours, everything was in his apartment and he was ready to set it all up. His casket went into the living room, propped up against the wall for now. No, he didn’t need it, but he loved the drama of it. His bed, which was going to be a pain in the ass to set up because he’d gotten a canopy king with heavy velvet curtains. Again, drama. He loooooved it. Everything was in the rooms he wanted it in, except his game systems. Why did he think he’d have a good place to put that? There was no way it would fit in his living room. Maybe he could just ditch the dining room and make that the gaming center. It made more sense, anyway.

A knock on the door had him looking over at it. He’d ditched the gloves, hat, and glasses just inside the door. Wade kicked them aside a little more and then opened the door, where his eyes immediately caught on a wooden open top box. Inside, there was a wine bottle with a red velvet ribbon, a tin that seemed to contain cookies, and something silver. “Heya, Neighbor. I just thought I’d drop off a housewarming gift. The cookies were made by a friend of mine, you wouldn’t want any I baked for you, and the wine is a decent year.”

“Who are you?” Wade didn’t really care because he wanted it. He loved presents.

“Oh, just a neighbor trying to spread a bit of kindness.”

“Yeah, thanks.” Wade’s cool hands brushed against two warm ones as he accepted the box. Then, hands were inside the box, pulling up the silver thing. Instantly, he fell in love. “Oh em gee. What is this awful thing?” The words might be harsh, but his tone was clearly smitten. If it was physically possible, his eyes would be giant hearts. It was a little square thing on legs, with the most awful thing he could imagine inside. There was a woman, naked with very large breasts that pointed in different directions. The man against her had his legs pulled up like he was halfway through a cannonball. The rough hands gripping it pulled on a small metal chain hanging down from the bottom, and the man straightened, thrusting a truly horrifyingly large penis into a slot in the woman. “I love it so much. Thank you.” Possessions now all dropped into the box, he shut the door in the neighbors face and brought it in. Having a one bedroom apartment wasn’t ideal, but this was. He was going to put it right by the TV so everyone could see it. “Pride of place my perfect little one. You’re going to be my favorite, I can tell.” He tugged on the chain a few more times before he set it on the table just inside the door and started unpacking.

He didn't have a dining room table, so clearly that area became the gaming center. There wasn't anywhere else to put them in a one bedroom apartment.
