Chapter Text
Dream was a serial killer. He loved it, loved feeling the blood on his skin and clothes, loved seeing their fearful gazes, loved seeing them beg for their life. It was so addicting, watching them try to pry him off, claw at his arms, wanting nothing more than to live another day. Dream loved it. He also loved his mask, a way to show his victims he was smiling the whole time (despite them not being able to see his face), a way to symbolize he liked their screams of pain and begs for their life, he loved how the last thing they would see was a white mask with two simple black dots for eyes and a smile. Something so simple turned into something so sinister.
Dream, when he wasn't killing, had a normal job to help him pay for college. At college, he met a boy. Sapnap Armstrong. He liked the boy, he was definitely attractive, but... clingy. Sapnap seemed obsessed with him, always smiling when he saw Dream, hugging the blonde's arm, flirting with him. Dream would smile back and acted oblivious in hopes the other would just stop.
After all, he wasn't interested in dating if it meant stopping his killing.
One day, Dream went home, grabbed his mask and his knives, dressed in all black, and waited for nightfall. When it eventually came, he smirked, walking out to his car. He put his mask on, got in his car, and went to his killing spot. It was away from his home, next city over, and he parked his car in a random parking lot.
Dream got out and maneuvered between alleyways. He suddenly stopped and waited. A woman walked past and he grabbed her by the hair. He covered her mouth before she could scream for help, slitting her throat and letting her face him. Dream held back a moan as the blood splattered on his mask, some hitting his uncovered mouth, and clothes. He gently laid her down on the floor, raising his knife about his head. He smiled bright and stabbed her in the chest, earning a choked out plea. He was surprised she could talk, but it didn't matter. She'd be dead soon anyways. He continued stabbing his in the chest and stomach, his gloved covered fingers digging into the wounds to let more blood seep out. She coughed and sputtered, trying her best to hand onto life, staring at his mask. But it was no use.
She eventually stopped breathing and Dream giggled, twitching slightly. Oh, how he loved the sight of blood, how he loved the warmth of it. It was so amazing, sitting there, straddling the dead body and giggling at the look, licking some of the warm blood off his knife.
Click! FLASH!
Dream stopped and widened his eyes turning to see a boy. Said boy gasped, cursing at the phone in his hand.
He looked at Dream, "S-Shit, I didn't-"
In the blink of an eye, Dream pinned him down, knife to his throat.
"Wait, Dream, I-"
"How do you know who I am?" Dream hissed, "Answer me!"
"I-I know you probably don't really know me-"
"It's kinda hard not to know who you are, Sapnap! You're practically all over me at school!"
"Wait, so you know my name?" Sapnap smiled brightly.
"Answer my damn question! How did you know it was me?!"
The ravenette bit his lip, looking at him like a hopeless lovesick dog, "W-Well, I-I followed you... F-Followed you home a-and then to the parking lot a-and then... to here..." He looked at the body, biting his lip more, "You looked so hot doing that. Like, I would love for you to stab me, just not kill me, of course! I-It's why I took a picture! You looked so hot and you were giggling so cutely!" Sapnap smiled, hands going to the blonde's cheeks, "I would never turn you in, Dream! Never, ever! If anything, I would happily take the blame for you! Could you imagine, me in prison for your crimes and you could keep going! That's how much I love you-"
"Shut up." Dream said, the ravenette doing so. He hummed before wrapping his hands around the ravenette's throat, beginning to choke Sapnap.
Sapnap gasped, "W-Wait-"
"I said. Shut. Up!" Dream continued choking Sapnap, smirking.
The ravenette bit his lip, gasping and choking, "L-Love.... y-you...." He placed his hands on Dream's, but did not fight back.
Sapnap passed out. Dream let him go and, after making sure he was alive, he stabbed the boy in the side once, not enough to kill him however. He held back another moan at the sight of blood, licking his lips. He then cut his throat, again, not to kill him, just to scar his neck. He stabbed Sapnap's phone, making sure it wasn't able to be fixed, before he left. He licked the blood off the knife, sighing happily.
Let's see how honest he was. Dream smirked.

Sapnap blinked, slowly opening his eyes. He was met with bright lights and heard someone call his name as well as beeping. He looked and saw his mother, father, and sisters, said girls hugging him and crying in relief.
"What... happened...?" He choked out, coughing. He needed water.
His father offered him some, "You... You were attacked, Sapnap! Someone cut your throat, but it didn't kill you, so they stabbed your side."
Sapnap widened his eyes, "...W-What...?" He held his head in his hands, trying to remember, "I-I... I remember..."
I was following Dream, he killed that woman, then he... he choked me. Sapnap ran his finger across his neck, He... He cut my throat, but didn't kill me? It was intentional, it had to be! He slit that woman's throat like it was butter, he could've done the same to me! But he didn't! Sapnap held back a smile, Hehe, it's a way to show who I belong to! He claimed me! Oh my god, he must love me!
"Mr. Sapnap Armstrong?" The boy looked up at an officer and detective, the officer guiding his family out as the detective sat beside him, "Hi, I'm Detective Collins. We're working on a case involving a serial killer who has been killing people, mostly women, in the area you were found. I have reason to believe you know them."
"W-What?!" Sapnap exclaimed, acting. Thank god for those acting classes and participating in the school plays and musicals, "I-I-!" He stopped, holding his head, "I-I'm sorry... I don't... I don't remember too much. I... The person choked me till I past out, but they... they stabbed me I guess?"
"You didn't know?"
"N-No... no sir... I..." Sapnap sighed, "I was walking to meet a friend and heard... heard a trashcan knock over. I thought it was nothing, but then I heard 'please stop.' I... I went over there thinking someone was trying to sexually assault someone o-or... worse... I looked and..." Sapnap gagged, hugging himself, "...the blood... h-her hair, her face, I-I-"
"Calm down, take your time."
Sapnap was making himself shake, "Th-There was so much! So much! A-And I... I wanted to help but how?! I-If I called the cops, they would hear me b-but if I tried to fight, I-I would've died! I-I... I sat there and... and I tried to use my phone, tried to just... get a picture... W-When... when I went to type in my password, it let out the click noise and I... I stopped. Th-That made them... they choked me a-and I passed out..."
"Do you remember what he looked like?" The detective asked.
"He had a mask on, but I-I saw brown hair... That's all I got... he was wearing all black..." Sapnap hugged himself, tears in his eyes, "I-I... I don't deserve this! I was so selfish and h-he killed her and I sat there a-and-"
"It is not your fault." The man pat the ravenette's back, "I know it hurts, but you are helping Ms. Garrison by helping us with answering our questions! We'll find whoever did this and you can testify against them, get Ms. Garrison justice."
Sapnap nodded and buried his face in his knees, sobbing. The detective rubbed his back, unaware Sapnap was smirking into his knees.

When Sapnap got back to school, he showed off the scar like it was a badge. People asked what happened and he explained he was attacked by a serial killer and they kept him alive. He was given pity and he thanked them, smiling. When he finally saw Dream again, he walked over. Sapnap shyly smiled at him, rubbing his neck as if he was nervous. The blonde licked his lips, making Sapnap giggle.
"H-Hey..." Sapnap bit his lip seductively.
Dream put his hand on Sapnap's neck, rubbing his thumb across the scarred skin, licking his lips once more.
"Like it...? Someone special made it for me~..." The ravenette placed his hands on the blonde's shoulders, "Gave me a scar on my side as well~ Wanna see~?"
"It looks good on you." Dream leaned down, kissing the scar and earning a gasp from Sapnap, "Like a brand."
"Shows I'm yours, Dream... but only we know the secret, hmm?" Sapnap whispered, feeling Dream kiss the scar once more.
"Mhmm..." Dream leaned to Sapnap's ear, biting it seductively as he placed his hands on the ravenette's hips, "You didn't tell anyone, did you?"
"Of course not. Why would I?" Sapnap squeaked, biting his lip and squirming a bit as Dream placed his hands on his ass, stroking him, "O-Oh-"
"I have another job tonight. Want you to follow me."
"I-I need to get a new phone. Someone broke it."
"I'll buy you one. But you are coming tonight." Dream moved his hand, clenching his other side, "Unless you want another scar?"
"I would love another one." Sapnap giggled.
"Figured, you fucking slut." Dream hissed, smirking, biting his ear once more.
Sapnap bit his lip, "Mhmm, y-your slut, D-Dreamy~"
Dream pulled him in for a gentle kiss, Sapnap smiling happily and kissing back.

Sapnap followed Dream to a different alley, watching from the other end of it (Dream's choice) as the blonde killed another random woman. Sapnap waited patiently, watching as Dream happily slit the woman's throat and open her up roughly. Sapnap bit his lip, just watching as Dream threw organs away like they were boring. He waited until Dream called him over. He walked over and noticed Dream had taken out an eye, the heart, and one of the intestines to make it into a 'U' shape, spelling out 'I love you' (in a way).
Sapnap giggled, kneeling down to touch the blood inside the woman.
Dream caught his wrist, "No. We don't leave evidence."
Sapnap was confused until he remembered the blonde had gloves, "But-"
"I said no." Dream glared, pulling Sapnap's hand to his chest, "If you try again, I will punish you."
"Ooooh~ How're you going to do that, daddy?" Sapnap giggled.
Dream smirked, hand going to Sapnap's throat, "You make it real hard not to just litter you in little cuts and bruises, show people you're nothing but a toy~!"
"Y-Your toy, Dream..." Sapnap moaned, "W-Want to be yours... D-Do you want me too?"
Dream hummed, smirking, "Well, I did mark you as mine, so I have to take care of you~"
"You didn't say you wanted me..."
Dream pulled him in for a deep kiss, "Yes, I want you." He pulled Sapnap onto his lap and one hand going to his cheek, smearing blood on his cheek (not that either cared), "Every part of you. I'll take care of you, show you I love you, remind you that you are mine."
Sapnap smiled brightly, leaning into his touch, "That's all I've ever wanted, Dream... Ever since I first laid my eyes on you."
From then on, that was their relationship. Dream would tell Sapnap to follow him occasionally, making messages of love out of their victims. He had once carved a rose into one of the victims stomach, seeing as roses symbolized love, or used some blood to write on the concrete "S.A + :)", a heart around it. Sapnap giggled, loving the little messages and Dream loved to see Sapnap smile and giggle. He was adorable.
Of course, because of all the proclamations of love, detectives came to Sapnap's house to question him. They arrived and Sapnap let them in, Dream holding some boxes when they walked in.
"I-I'm moving in with my boyfriend." He explained to the dectives before looking at the blonde, "Dream, this is Detective Collins, the one who asked me questions when I was recovering."
Dream nodded, offering his hand, "Dream Anderson. Nice to meet you."
Detective Collin shook his hand, "You as well, may we sit down?"
They did, Sapnap on Dream's lap and the detectives sitting across from them.
"S-Sorry for the mess..." Sapnap motioned to all the boxes, "Moving, ya know?"
"Of course." The detective smiled politely before he frowned, "Now, Mr. Armstrong, are you aware of the recent killings?"
Sapnap stiffened, beginning to shake.
Dream covered his ears, kissing his cheek, "W-We try to stay away from that stuff... I mean, it's already hard enough on him, waking up from night terrors and looking in the mirror and seeing this... disgusting scar... W-We tend to... distance ourselves..."
"Of course, that's completely understandable." Dream uncovered Sapnap's ears, "You are still recovering and I... I really hate to ask you more questions, but there's been a... development. You see, we believe the killer knows you. Maybe you don't know him, but he knows you. We have these pictures."
They set down pictures of Dream's... creations.
Sapnap covered his mouth and tears came to his eyes (he's apparently good at crying) and ran to the bedroom, sobbing.
"We're done." Dream stated aggressively.
"Sir-"
"NO!" Dream yelled, "He is clearly already going through shit and you just show off these pictures of a lunatic u-using eyes and hearts and blood and- is that a fucking dick?! What is that?!" Dream pointed at one part of the picture, "It's disgusting and how dare you?! These are messages from a psychopath and you want Sapnap to help identify this person who could end up killing SAPNAP?! Fuck off, get out, we're done!"
"Sir, please-"
"OUT! RIGHT FUCKING NOW!"
The detectives left and Dream locked the door, going to the bedroom where Sapnap was wiping his eyes. Dream wrapped his arms around his waist, kissing his neck, "Such a good actor~"
Sapnap giggled, "You too."
Dream hummed, taking a knife and tracing the waistband of Sapnap's jeans with it, "You deserve an award~ Maybe I can bring someone here, tie 'em up in the basement, and we kill them~"
"W-We...?" They've never done that. Sapnap could never kill someone. He didn't mind watching Dream do it, but him? No way, it just wasn't a good idea! He would mess everything up!
"Well, no, just me." Sapnap sighed in relief, smiling. Dream chuckled, "You just have to sit there looking pretty~" Dream gasped, "Oh my god, what if we gave them a show as they died?! That's be so sexy~"
Sapnap giggled, "I'll think about it."
"Please do."
The two shared a loving kiss, happy in each other's embrace.
