Work Text:
Let me sing you a song lads
About a fish with scales that shined like jewels
And the beautiful sun that it adored
Once upon a time
there was a ocean fish
The fish loved sunshine
And was tired of the abyss
So it journeyed to shore
To the sun it adored
Sunshine, sunshine!
the little fish cried
You make my scales glitter
And my heart set alight
So stay a little longer
Stay a little longer with me
Oh! Sun I adore
The fish learned how to breath
Evolving, it grew lungs
Yet there was no reprieve
For it would need more ‘cause
Up there, the escape death
It would need to grow legs! (Ha!)
Sunshine, sunshine!
the little fish cried
You make my scales glitter
And my heart set alight
So stay a little longer
Stay a little longer with me
Oh! Sun I adore
No one knows what happened next
Did it grows legs? Maybe its dead
Personally, I think it turned into a beautiful siren
And spent the rest of its days on that shore
Under the sun, that it adored
