Prologue
Everyone has soulmates, most have platonic soulmates though some have romantic soulmates though these are very rare. You can have one soulmate or many soulmates. You shall only get your soul mark when your soulmate is born, this has caused some unfounded concerns in people believing that they do not have a soulmate, when their soulmate is just younger than them. There are three ways of knowing who your soulmates are:
1, Before you meet your soulmate you will feel their pain and share their emotions. Only very strong emotions can be felt through the soulmate bond, emotions such as, Loss, Fear, Grief but also, Love, Joy and Laughter. It is said that some soulmates can communicate through there marks and send comfort to one and other when they are in pain or when they are feeling intense emotions even before they have met, these however are only rumours. When you feel your soulmates pain, you will feel it for as long as your soulmate feels it.
2, The second way to know your soulmate is the shape of their mark. Everyone has a soul mark, the shape of the mark is always an indication of who your soulmate is. For example the shape of your mark could be a music note and your soulmate may be a singer. Sometimes if a person experience a large change in their life, their soulmates mark could change shape, this however is very rare.
3, The third and final way to know who your soulmate is, is the colour of your mark. Before you meet your soulmate your mark will be grey and dull. When you first touch your soulmate your mark will glow with colour, the colour of your soulmates soul to be exact. When your mark begins to glow you will be filled with a warm feeling as another indicator that this person is your soulmate. But there is one more colour your mark can turn. Your mark can turn black, as black as night and this means your soulmate has died, if this happens eventually your mark will fade and if they were your only soulmate you will be truly alone.
Chapter 1
When Billy Batson was born with seven soul marks, his parents were overjoyed as they knew it mean their son would never be alone when he had so many to support him. Little did they know how wrong they’d be.
Billy Batson’s first soul mark was a dull, grey trapeze. When Billy’s parents C.C and Marilyn Batson saw this mark, they laughed thinking that one of their son’s soulmates may be a circus performer and immediately decided that they should take their son to a circus as soon as he was old enough. Their first trip to the circus was when Billy was one and become a yearly tradition until Billy’s parents untimely death.
When Billy’s parents saw his second soul mark, in the shape of a car tire. The brief thought flited through Marylin’s head that this soulmate is a race car driver would grow up to be one, they couldn't wait to meet all the their son's soulmates they continued laughing.
Billy’s parents searched from the next mark. This mark, like the first was dull and grey, and the young child’s parents let out a sigh of relief they knew it was are to be born with a dead soulmate but not impossible and they were worried about their son. This mark was in the shape of a camera, Billy’s parents entertained the thought that this soulmate whoever they are would someday become a photographer.
The next mark that Marilyn and C.C saw was again grey and dull but this time it was in the shape of a paint brush that was being dipped in a colour of paint still unknow to them. With a glance to each and unspoken communication to each other Marilyn and C.C silently agreed to sign Billy up for painting classes as soon as he was old enough so he would have something to share with his soulmate when he finial met them when ever that would be.
The fifth mark was a pair of ballet shoes also dull and grey. Looking at the mark made C.C remember how much he enjoyed the dance lessons his parents put him through when he was young, before he found his passion for archology, and wondered if Billy would also enjoy dance lessons. Another glance towards Marilyn and the smile on her face made C.C think that Billy would defiantly be enjoying dance lessons in his future, well when he could actually walk that is.
The next mark was a motorcycle helmet. C.C and Marilyn though it looked scruffy and worn, but they took it as a sign that it was will uses and loved. However they worried that their son’s soulmate had such a dangerous hobby and immediately though back to the car tire, but seeing that this mark like many of the others was dull and grey they set aside their worries.
The seventh and final mark was in the shape of a pen. To C.C’s and Marilyn’s relief is was again dull and grey. They’re imaginations again began to play with them as they dreamed Billy’s soulmate would be a future famous author who wrote beautiful novels or a poet who described the world around them so vividly it made you weep tears of joy.
Unbeknownst to C.C and Marilyn Batson all their predictions about their son, Billy’s soulmates were extremely inaccurate and laughable to anyone who actually knew the soulmates.
