Chapter 1: sugar baby auction

Chapter Text

"please, doctor. i'm begging u. don't do this." tears. harsh, painful tears streamed down his rosy cheeks. his voice was practically cracking, raw with sorrow and desperation. he was about to get on all fours to beg the other, he was that desperate. they can't do this. it's not fair.

not when his mother was showing improvements. not when she might have that slight chance of waking up from her deep slumber. he couldn't let even the slightest ray of hope slip out of his grasp. because... he was never going to let it go.

"chuuya, we already spoke about it. i already tried my best to convince the higher-ups but there has been a huge increase of patients streaming in. we can't just let ur mother stay here when u aren't paying the bills." the ginger winced, he was just a 20 year old that goes to college, how would he be able to pay off the highly expensive hospital bills?

even with juggling a few part-time jobs and his studies, the money he needed seem to be impossibly out of reach. before, he had the money his late father left for both him and his mother. it was a huge amount of sum but slowly, as they spent on his education, shortly after having to spend on medical bills after the tragic accident, their finance depleted drastically.

he knew the doctor was nice enough to let off the bills for three months. yet, he still hadn't gotten the exact of amount to pay off the bills. he had thought about giving up on his studies but he knew his mother would never want him to do that. she would want to open her eyes to see her son do big things in life like getting a job, getting married etc. so, he wasn't giving up. many had told him he should have given up a long time ago but he refuse. he would do anything to return back to his life with his mother. "

please, doctor." the ginger was legitimately begging the doctor, Mr Johnson. "just one more month, i promise. i really promise." chuuya was trying to scrub the falling tears to stop but they kept on falling and falling.
"i-i really can't do anything about it, chuuya." Mr Johnson's voice was felt with empathy, he was equally concern about his own patient as chuuya. "i'll try to squeeze a few more days, okay? try to find someone trustable for money?"

well... he already did. he tried dialing all the relatives he know, either as financially unstable as them or declining his phone calls. he did get some loans from the banks but they were already pushing him to pay for loans as well. the ginger clenched his fists in frustration, his nails digging into the skin of his palms. he does not have a choice. he will figure something out.

"alright. i'll figure something out." the ginger started drying his tears, he isn't going to mob around all day. "thank you for helping out." chuuya gave the doctor a weak smile before heading towards the ward his mother was in.

reaching her bed, he gently push her bangs into place, admiring his mother's gorgeous face. tears threaten to fall out once again but he refuse to submit to them. the ginger softly caressed his mother's cheek, bending down to whisper in her ear. "mom, i'll figure a way out. don't u worry." he left a soft kiss on her forehead before making his way out of the hospital.

"are u sure, chuuya? this idea is a way too crazy. u aren't even that experienced." tachihara was filled with concern, worrying like a good friend would. however, chuuya was determined. he urgently needed money and this was the fastest way to get it. he wish tachihara could support him instead of warning about the dangers. he knows about the dangers. god. he was not some 5 year old kid.

"there might be murderers, ugly old men, gangsters, whatsoever. ur safety might be at stake." chuuya frowned in annoyance. he knows. he knows yet he has to do it. if he doesn't, there would not be any future for him and his mother. "i'm sure, tachihara. unless u can think of a faster way than this, i'm going for it." the ginger spotted his huge poster pasted on his rental flat building's notice board. huge, big words of 'auction for sugar baby' in bold.
he had heard many people talk about this popular auction from various social media platforms, how everyone was able to large sums swiftly.

thick wads of money for just one date. chuuya only had to bear with that one old man for one night and repeat the process several times to be sufficient for the hospital bills. he could do this. he had to do it.

"you're insane." tachihara shook his head in disbelief. "i wish i was some rich man that could lend u money, but i guess brokies attract each other." chuuya chuckled at that small, light joke. he knew tachihara would not hesitant to lend him money but he himself needed it. he had to support his own sister, he had his own responsibilities to carry. a small smile crept up the ginger's face. he was appreciative that he had such nice friends that are willing to help him despite getting nothing back in return.

"it's alright, baka. i will be fine." he really would be. he was great at martial arts, he could literally pin a man several feet taller than him effortlessly. he just hope that he wouldn't meet some mass murderer who might kill him anytime he said or do something wrong.

"i know. i just want u to reconsider but since u won't, u better send me ur location at all times later on. i'll rush down as soon as possible if i sense something is wrong." tachihara stared at him sternly, showing that he was being serious in looking out for him. chuuya sighed but smiled appreciatively at his friend. "alright, i will." seeing his friend still looking at him cautiously, chuuya immediately send his location so that his friend could see where he was going at all times.

"i shall get ready now." he made his way to his bedroom to select an outfit. he heard that the more attractive u are, the more people would bid for u, the more money u would earn from that single date. basically, the amount u earn from is how much people actually 'bid' u for that one date.

prices would normally start off with the amount u set and continue to rise up higher. he had seen people who had no one bidding for them before. just thinking about that happening to him sent a shiver down his spine. he had not thought of that before. he was going to gamble his way through, anyways. he was going to try all the options he could right now. there's no time for him to hesitant or think about being embarrassed. whoever cares.

scanning through his closet, he brought out his most presentable and good-looking outfit. he didn't have much clothes, mostly of his t-shirts were gifts from his friends and relatives he meet up with, some of them were from shopping with a huge discount sale going on. the ginger sighed, a black dress shirt and tight leggings shall do the job. he realised he had a choker and a pair of shiny boots that he could wear too. he silently prayed that the auction later goes well.

scanning himself in the mirror, he wasn't going to lie that he did look decent. good even. the tight leggings wrapping around his ass like it was painted on it, the curve and smoothness of his ass was prominent. he made sure to unbutton his dress shirt all the way to the end, the black color of the shirt and the choker wrapped around his neck made the outline of his collarbones and the muscles of his neck more obvious. damn. he was going to slay it. he smeared thin amounts of make up on his face, a little touch of concealer, eyeliner to showcase his blue orbs better and a small tint of lip gloss to make his lips look incredibly shiny.

"woah, someone looks real sexy." chuuya took notice of tachihara entering his room, acknowledging his outfit. perhaps tachihara should give chuuya the mental support instead of convincing him to stop. he knew that no one could stop chuuya once he had his mind solely set on something, he would only move forward confidently, there's no turning back. "thanks, tachi." chuuya let out a huge sigh, still overthinking a little too much for his own good.

"don't worry, buddy." tachihara shot him a comforting smile, patting him softly on the head. chuuya couldn't help but smile appreciatively at how his roommate was supporting his absurd, ridiculous plan. "you're gonna slay it out there. there would be a ton of guys bidding for u and your date would be worth millions." chuuya couldn't help but roll his eyes, chuckling softly at the other's comment.

"make sure u call me when anything's up. if the guy is being too touchy and whatsoever u better make sure u..."

chuuya lightly flicked his roommate's forehead because he rambled and nagged on too much, but he's glad that someone cares about his wellbeing. "i'll be careful. i promise." blue orbs bored into amber ones, the serious expression on chuuya's face showed that he understood clearly. he knew martial arts and was flexible as hell due to him learning gymnastics for years, self defense would come off effortless. chuuya made his way to the entrance of their rental place, putting on his dazzling, shiny boots. "i'll see u later." chuuya wave off to his roommate, walking down the stairs to the ground floor, taking in deep breaths for what's ahead. he was going to get himself a sugar daddy.

"where to, boss?" a brunette was scrolling through his phone, trying to get his muscles to relax in his comfortable, luxurious car. he lifted up his head to make eye contact with his chauffeur, still feeling tense and down from the week's heavy schedule. "to the tokyo auditorium" the brunette ignored the shocking look on the other's face, because by going there meant that he was going for the famous auction. everyone in japan knew that the auditorium only allowed the rich to enter, knowing the place was meant to hold the sugar baby auction.

"are u sure, boss?" it's been a while since dazai went to the auditorium, it was a little strange why he wanted to go all of a sudden. "do i look like i'm kidding?" the chauffeur gulped at the piercing glare his boss was shooting towards him, shaking his head profusely before starting off the car's engine, taking off to where his boss instructed him to go to. dazai sighed as he slumped in his position, he just wanted to relieve the stress building up within him recently. sex was always an option he could run back to to relieve his stress, although he ought to admit he hasn't been fully enjoying the sex he had for the last few years. it wasn't as blissful anymore, it was more for him to be into the heat to forget about his worries at that moment in time but his sex partners were sometimes way too annoying. he prayed for better options today.

it only took a 20 minute ride for them to reach the huge auditorium. flashing his VIP card for the security guard to see, the grand gates immediately opened after noticing that the great dazai osamu had arrived. he was the boss of the shadiest, most feared organization, the port mafia. there have been said to be many killings and crimes that the port mafia should account for, but technically it is a legal group that goes around to do business and trades. the Ferrari drove in smoothly to the private parking lots, his driver parking the vehicle nicely for him to get off. in an instant, there were bodyguards at both of his sides accompanying him as he stalked through the carpark into the hallways of the auditorium.

the receptionist at the counter instantly recognized him because he's so bloody famous for the wrong reasons, immediately stuttering through their conversation. "dazai-sama! nice to see u back here." she tried to shoot a lovely smile which came out more as a cower which made the brunette roll his eyes. "the auction is about to start soon. your preferred payment method would be?" it was a usual practice to get ready the payment details before u entered the auction, even if u might be uninterested in the day's auction.

"credit card." dazai whipped out his wallet, choosing through the loads of credit cards he owned, before selecting one he thought contained the right amount of money for today's auction, passing it towards the lady which she received with trembling hands.
"here's your entry ticket, dazai-sama." she passed dazai the VIP seating ticket, there was a difference in the seating arrangement too. one of his bodyguard grabbed the ticket for him as he stalked towards one of the room, pushing open the heavy doors. the brunette furrowed his brows at the sight, the place was tingling with people, he didn't want to have to entertain those bratty, arrogant businessmen and organization leaders.

the port mafia boss made sure to shuffle through the crowd to find his comfy, peaceful seat at the corner. the owner of his auditorium knows him well, giving him his favorite spot throughout the auditorium. he settled down on the large seat that felt like a sofa, tilting his head back to relax his whole body. he felt a twinge of annoyance when the man two seats away from him seems to be eyeing at him.

dazai could only stare back, his glares were inviting the other for a fight but the man could only shoot him a warm smile. "fyodor dostoevsky, nice to see the famous prodigy here." the man who just introduced himself stretched out his hand to welcome dazai to a friendly handshake which the brunette could only scoff at the side. still, he didn't want to appear rude just because he can, stretching out his own hand to shake the other. "nice to meet u, fyodor. i assume u already know who i am, there's no such need for me to introduce myself, is there?" the brunette raised his eyebrow slightly upon asking the question. sharp, purple eyes only squeezed in reply with a light, soft shake.

"there's no need to. could i call u dazai?" fyodor let out a soft chuckle as he clenched onto dazai's hand a little harder. the brunette clenched his jaw, squeezing back to reciprocate whatever the other was trying to achieve, sounds like a competition to him. "sure. after all, we must be about the same status to be able to get these seats here in the auditorium." well, dazai didn't know anything about fyodor. his voice held a strong, smooth russian accent, he looks to be a russian too. there have been many news about Russia and their sudden increase in economy, dazai is guessing it's all this guy's deed. the man just gave him a slight bob before releasing his grip on dazai's hand, turning back to his own seat, trying to get comfortable.

the brunette had his bodyguards to bring out his pillows, leaning into the soft texture for comfort. even though he's the most feared man throughout Japan, his brain still contain ridiculous and childish thoughts, one of his hobbies is investing in useless and absurd items online. the lights in the auditorium starts to darken, the place became dimly lit, showing that the auction was about to start. dazai received his own board (basically the thing they raise with their number on it when they wanna bid), placing it gently on the seat next to his. anticipation grew in his stomach, he was hoping to find the right one tonight.

"good luck out there!" chuuya shouted after the disappearing figure, the boy which he had a small conversation when they were preparing in the backstage. the ginger couldn't help but felt his mouth turning dry, it wasn't a good sign. he was a bundle of nerves, feeling himself breaking out in cold sweat.

apparently, they were suppose to get ready a few moves to make themselves appear more attractive which he totally did not prepare at all, of course. the rest of the participants that was going for the auction didn't seem as unfazed as him. they seem pretty experienced, it might be their hundredth time coming here for all chuuya knows.

he got to know that those people who were to be able to attend this auction were specially picked by the higherups of this whole programme. now, he doesn't know how he was even picked. his mind was just screaming for him to go home, that he wasn't up for this at all. no, chuuya. we've come this far to back out like this. the ginger nodded reassuringly to himself, he knew tachihara would never stop making fun of him if he were to back out last minute. watching participants going forward one by one seem to ease his throbbing heart a little. if others could do it, why couldn't he? this wasn't time for him to stop and think, he is desperate for money, his mother's life is at stake.

"last chance. once, twice, thrice." the auctioneer announced through the speakers. "we have a deal sealed here. a date with Christine sold at 16,000 yen." chuuya gulped. that amount of money wasn't going to cover the hospital fees.

he had no time to think as the staff there, started to push him forward. before he could realise what has happen, it was his turn. fuck it, was all he could say. "next participant we have with us today is... nakahara chuuya."

letting out a heavy breath, he took prominent steps towards the stage, his boots clinking with the polished wood. the light shone onto him from above, directing everyone's gaze to be on him. upon receiving the microphone, he held it to his lips, mustering his best voice. "nice to meet u, i'm nakahara chuuya."

"tok tok tok" dazai had his face rested on his free palm, the other hand tapping on the surface of the side of his seat. irritant was etching on his face. none of the participants that showed up were up to his standard, feeling deeply disappointed with today's showcase. each participant only won a small amount of money with the few, new businessmen who the brunette thought had really bad taste because he would never even spend a single cent on hanging out with these people. the port mafia boss doesn't know if he should stay here anymore. each participant that showed seem more disappointing than the last and he was losing interest in this whole showcase.

glancing at his watch, he realised it was already half past 6. so much so of wasting 30 minutes of his precious time. what could he expect though? he knew he shouldn't have such high hopes on such programmes, only satisfying other businessmen that was different from him. dazai has to admit, he was picky with the people he hangs out with. there were many people dying to be his partner, many people offering to spend time with him but he clearly rejected them all. just as he was about to whip out his phone to contact his bodyguards for him to make his leave, the auctioneer announced the next participant. nakahara chuuya.

glancing up, dazai was gifted the sight of someone he would define as the most beautiful person on earth. a small, petite ginger walking a little timid, a slight blush evident on his cheeks, hands playing with the hem of his dress shirt. the ginger looked shy, he seem to be new in this area, it was probably his first time on such an auction. dazai couldn't take his eyes off the sexy thighs and dripping curves his hips held, his ass look like a whole god damn meal. his ginger locks dazzling in the light, fluttering with the breeze, occasionally showing those bright, deep, blue eyes. he see, to have a more feminine build compared to other men but that was just something dazai loved. he looked so damn gorgeous, so damn sexy.

the brunette felt his heart ache when the beautiful ginger spoke, his voice was soft and sweet. "nice to meet u, i'm nakahra chuuya. i'm 20 years old this year and i go to Dead Apple University." chuuya's face reddened even more after introducing himself, dazai didn't know that cuteness was one of this man's aspect as well. he'll take back what he had thought about earlier on. today's auction was not disappointing at all. it exceeded beyond expectations. there were already many bids getting set, prices climbing sharply each round. dazai could only smirk. of course, everyone would fight for this masterpiece before their eyes.

dazai was not going to miss his chance too. "80,000 yen. calling once, calling twice." dazai scoffed. the highest was still considered lowest for him. raising his board in his right hand, he confidently said. "1,000,000 yen" everyone in the room turned their gaze towards him, shock that someone would pay such a hefty amount just for a single date. another voice emerged, announcing.

"2,000,000 yen" the gazes where now turned to the new voice that sounded throughout the room, dazai couldn't help but smirk when he realised it was the Russian from earlier on, fyodor. the brunette loves competition, especially when he was competing for something so amazing. he wasn't going to lose to him.

"5,000,000 yen" the prices continued to rise up crazily, most of the businessmen already kept their mouths shut, not wanting to go bankrupt. the only two people who could afford such a fight was fyodor and dazai. "1,000,000,00yen" said fyodor confidently, none of them seem to be backing down any time. the ginger who was standing on stage was lost for words, wondering who are the two lunatics that were bidding so hard for him. it was crazy to offer such a great amount for just a small date with him.

"1,000,000,000yen" dazai counted back and for a long while fyodor was silent. "alright. 1,000,000,000yen. calling once. calling twice. calling thrice." the auctioneer paused for a moment before banging the wooden stamp loudly onto the counter. "a date with chuuya nakahra is sold to dazai osamu at 1,000,000,000yen. moving on to the next participant." a victorious smile spread across the brunette's face, satisfied that he had won the bidding competition with the intensely competitive Russian. he notices the ginger was now slowly making his way to exit the stage, dazai immediately notifies his bodyguards to guide him towards his car. looks like he did not waste his time after all, the money and time spent was worth while.

before exiting the auditorium which the bidding still continued, he spoke teasingly towards fyodor. "looks like u didn't prepare enough money before that. didn't think the famous prodigy would spend so much money, would he?" he only left the Russian speechless, the smirk on his face stretched even further.

☆☆

dazai osamu was crazy. simply crazy. who the hell would spend 1,000,000,000 yen on having a date with him? who in the right mind would do so? such thoughts swirled in his mind as he slowly exited the stage, not knowing where to go anymore. it was a flipping 10 digit number! "are u nakahara?" chuuya jumped in surprise after realising that there were two looming figures behind him, both wrapped in thick suits, sunglasses shielded their eyes. "yes. may i know who are u?" his voice coming off a little weak from the startle but he composed himself sufficiently to answer their question.

"we are boss's bodyguards. boss instructions were to bring u to his car." the ginger raised his eyebrow in confusion but assumed that this boss of theirs was dazai, following behind them promptly.

chuuya was led down towards the personal car parks, shocked to see a hot red ferrari situated in the center of the whole parking lot. the ginger knew he shouldn't be surprised after the said man spent so much money on him, he could definitely afford anything in the world right now. "boss said that u would sit here." one of the bodyguard pointed towards the backseat, the whole back area was freakishly spacious, like having a whole damn bed in the car. the ginger settled into the car, trying to sit comfortably while waiting for the older man's arrival.

suddenly, the most important thought kicked inside him. dazai osamu. the name that had appear in millions of news reports, TV broadcasts as well as exclusive interviews. he was the man that everyone deeply feared in Japan, the boss of the well-known organization, port mafia. chuuya felt a huge lump in his throat, forcing himself to swallow down his nervousness hardly. tachihara was right.
there were dangerous men at the auction and dazai osamu was definitely one of them. he doesn't know what the boss of port mafia wants to do with him now.

what if he spent that much amount of money to use chuuya in one of his murdering experiments? or in some illegal trade he was going to have with other organizations overseas? he tried to calm himself down by taking in deep breaths, he was overthinking his situation a little too much. surely the older man wouldn't find such a target at a sugar baby auction right? the ginger could feel himself deeply praying that he wouldn't die at such a young age. he was only 20.

no, praying wouldn't help. despite dazai osamu having probably a ton of bodyguards that could murder him any moment, he was going to fight back if they did anything upsetting towards him. he got ready his stance, clenching his fist and getting his legs ready to escape any moment before they could blindfold or suffocate him. he heard a small click by the car's door, someone tugging onto the handle, pulling entry to the car. before he realise, chuuya had already strike his fist to the person's face, causing him to fall backwards with a thud. the ginger gasped when he realised that he had punch his so called sugar daddy when his bodyguards pointed their guns towards him.

a small trail of blood would be seen sliding out of the brunette's nostrils as he steadied himself to stand properly. a small smile was written on his face and chuuya thinks that he might have use to much force to make the other go a little crazy, because who in the right mind would smile after getting punched so painfully on the face?

"i-i'm so sorry." the ginger stammered out, scared that the bodyguards might trigger their guns anytime and he would have his head split open in any second. "put down your guns." dazai's voice was stern and serious, he had a piercing gaze which his bodyguards couldn't help but obey accordingly.

as he slowly stood up, the brunette was wiping the blood away with the back of his palm, he looked oddly handsome through the process. "my my, chuuya. we haven't even met for a split second and u are already so aggressive. tell me, who hurt my baby?" irritant ran through his blood when those words curled out off the brunette's mouth. who the hell was his baby? "who the hell are u calling your baby?" dazai could only chuckle at the reaction, chuuya looking impossibly cute when he huffed and folded his hands across his chest. the cute pout his soft lips formed was not going unnoticed as well.

"my my, may i know what's the programme u sign up for, chibi?" chuuya glared at the boss of port mafia deadly, livid to his bones. "i'm not that short!" he hated how his retort just sounded stupid because he was obviously way too short for a man, he was making a laughing stock of himself in front of the deadly prodigy and his bodyguards. the chuckle escaping from the brunette's mouth was not helping either. "is that so? sorry that i upset u, baby but the auction u signed up for clearly stated it was a sugar baby auction. if u aren't my baby then what are u?"

words clotted at the tip of his throat, he had no way around this. he felt his face heat up intensely, he hated how he showed his vulnerable side easily to the man before him. "hahaha, is chuuya shy about that pet name?" dazai, seem to be having fun in teasing the beautiful ginger, which ticked chuuya off.
"no, i'm not!" he retorted childishly, he really wanted to slap himself for not coming out better comebacks. he usually could keep himself composed and calm, able to retort comebacks that would make the other speechless but he didn't seem to be able to do it before dazai.

"alright, let's get moving. it's pretty late and i'm sure your stomach must be growling." chuuya was about to say that he didn't feel hungry at all just to shove something in the other's face but failed miserably when his stomach growled in response to the mention of food. he wanted to pry off the smirk plastered on the brunette's face, he hate it when the older man is always right.

his bodyguards instantly bounced into action, dispersing into other nearby cars to follow the boss's ferrari. his chauffeur settling into the driver's seat, already ready with the engine, able to set off anytime. dazai guided chuuya back to the car, which the ginger felt himself settling down a little more comfortable than before. "where would u like to go, chibi?" chuuya had to bite his lips to prevent himself from barking and spitting at the older man's face because of the insulting comment.

"wherever u like." chuuya yelped when he was suddenly pulled by his waist to sit onto the brunette's lap. "what are u doing?" dazai only smirked at him, before lightly tracing his hips, wrapping his hands around his waist to pull him closer.

chuuya felt his face heat up tenfold, not used to being so intimately in contact with others. "we are going to enjoy ourselves tonight." the ginger shuddered at the breath just right next to his earlobe, dazai's deep and rough voice echoing through his brain. "to my usual place, ben." chuuya notices the chauffeur nodding in response, pressing hardly onto the pedal, speeding them off into the night sky to wherever this usual place was.
