Original Title: In Which Endeavor Married A Silver Fox Instead
Version 1:
In which after Aizen’s defeat, Gin Ichimaru finds himself in a bizarre dimension of quirks, heroes, and villain but manages to find himself a new hot, big breast tall spitfire to protect and become romantically attached to.
(Said hot, big breast tall spitfire very much does not appreciate such a description firstly being male and secondly is ranked 2nd in the pro-hero as the Flame Hero: Endeavor who needs no protection thank you very much.)
Version 2:
Just based off his half hot half cold quirk and red-white hair, most people assume Todoroki Shouto’s mother is a beautiful white-haired housewife with an ice quirk and calm temperament. They couldn’t be more wrong about Gin Ichimaru.
Although Gin likes to proclaim everyday to his four children that he is the best househusband, he sheds his silver-white hair everywhere like a dog, can’t cook to save his life, and loves regularly displaying public affection with his hero husband in front of the children. His blue eyes are more menacing than the devil, his smiles more venomous than a snake, and his intellect sharper than the rat ruling UA. Yet, in the face of his wife, Endeavor, he transforms into a declawed and defanged puppy competing with his kids for attention.
A collection of drabbles about the Todoroki family in which Todoroki Enji entered a marriage of love (or close to love) with Shinigami Ichimaru Gin instead of a desperate quirk marriage to create a new number one hero with Rei.
Watching his father lounge under the afternoon sun like a large housecat, or more appropriately, a snake, Todoroki Natsuo took another bite of his ice cream sundae. His three other siblings were out of the house on a quick run to grab more snacks and the old man was at his hero agency, so it was just him and his father under the veranda.
“Father,” he broke the peaceful silence.
“Hm?” Ichimaru Gin hummed but didn’t twitch even a finger.
“Father,” Natsuo repeated more insistently. “What attracted you to the old man in the first place?” Father spoked rather disdainfully of the hero industry yet got together with none other than Endeavor who had already reached the top 10 in Japanese Hero Billboards ranking when they met. They were an unlikely pairing – a family of two men and four kids in a traditional Japanese house rather than the usual husband and wife, 2.5 kids, a dog and a white picket fence ideal.
“Since I was a kid, I always knew I would get a young wife with big boobs and a hot body.” Gin managed to maintain his carefree tone despite the pang of loss he felt when recalling Rangiku Matsumoto and the world of Shinigami he would never return to. Gin’s grin became less fake when he heard the sound of choking and a spoon clattering to the ground. “Huh, you kiddos are still calling your youthful little ma an old man despite that pert body and how energetic he is every night-”
Natsuo’s eyes twitched but he managed to stop coughing enough to grab a rock and chuck in his father’s direction. Gin twitched a finger and the rock bounced onto the ground having been sliced in two equal halves.
“Naughty naughty~” Gin wagged a finger in the air in a chiding manner.
Natsuo pouted. “Old man is still taller than you. Who are you to call little.” Although the difference was only 3 inches, Endeavor was still taller at 6’4 to Gin’s 6’1.
“Defending your ma’s honor, eh? So chivalrous of you, Natsuo-kun.”
The two fell back into an easy silence again. The clouds slowly drifted through the blue sky above the treetops and the koi pond.
Natsuo felt himself starting to drift off under the warm sun. When he was younger, he remembered chasing his father around but no matter who participated, not even Touya or the old man, Father only got faster and faster in the game of chase. For all that Father claimed he didn’t have a speed quirk, he could move fast enough that he could fake a teleportation quirk. It was terribly annoying and frustrating skill to face as a child, but now that he was older and in middle school, he could somewhat understand why his mom, with such a serious and straightforward personality, fell for a weird could-take-nothing-seriously creeper.
“Tadaima!” Fuyumi called out from front entrance. Shouto and Touya echoed from behind her, Touya carrying bags of snacks and drinks in one arm, the other busy holding Shouto's small hand, while Fuyumi held a large watermelon in her arms.
Natsuo clambered back onto his feet to welcome his siblings back, shaking off his drowsiness. “Okaerinasai. What goodies did you bring back?”
Fuyumi trotted to the kitchen bearing the fruits of her shopping trip and called out, “Natsuo! Come help or you don’t get anything.” The two quickly washed up and plates the fruit for everyone while Touya kept Shouto busy organizing the bags of snacks into the pantry. Like a moth to the flames, all four siblings eventually migrated around their half-asleep father.
When he’s quiet, Father was a soft kind of beauty – an early winter’s morning, blankets of untouched snow basking in the rising sun, and a clear bright blue sky. But then he would crack open his mouth, squint his eyes and break open into a grin, and the beautiful illusion shatters with the sound of his mocking and facetious voice as sharp as a bullet.
The quiet murmurs and the clicking of silverware fade into the summer noise of cicadas fluttering and the koi splashing about, and Gin fell deeper into sleep, content and surrounded by family.

When he fell to Aizen’s blade, Gin certainly expected to never wake up again. And yet, he woke up to a white hospital room not in the Fourth division, his large chest wound miraculous missing like he had never been impaled in the first place and a perfectly working right arm.
With some bluffing and sharp hearing, he managed to get a doctor diagnosis of amnesia, a new backstory and identity set up, and the phone number of the fuming red-headed hero that pulled his from the wreckages of a hero villain fight.
As far as Gin could tell, he still retained his reiatsu, he could faintly hear Shinsō whispering in the back of his head, and he couldn’t sense any captain or lieutenant level Shinigami or high-level Hollows near his location. It felt too good to be true. And it certainly proved to be too good when he discovered that he couldn’t access the Senkaimon and all the reiatsu he could sense were coming from the humans’ quirks.
In other words, he was stranded in another world with no way back. And this world was either governed by a different set of Shinigami with a different sort of energy that he couldn’t sense, or he was no longer a Shinigami. He died, but certainly not the sort of death one typically expected.
Well, now it wasn’t time to mourn the what-could-have-been future. At least he hadn’t expected to survive beyond the war, so he already made some peace with not being part of Matsumoto’s future.
Although he got his basic information organized in this quirk based, he still had to figure out his living situation. He had no money, the clothes he had were all torn beyond repair, and he lacked academic credentials to get a decent job. Well, at least it made his background of being a street rat more credible. But the doctors said they were going to call in a quirk specialist to figure out his quirk tomorrow and get him registered in the quirk database, so it looked like another sleepless night for him while he continued gathering information and fleshing out his story better.
He sighed. He had no energy to maintain the usual grin, and he knew better than the annoy the medic personnel too much. Wait, there was still that carrot top hero in the hospital. If he remembered correct, carrot-top was being held overnight in case whatever “quirk” that had supposedly hit Gin and wiped his memories had impacted the hero in some way. Hm, carrot top wasn’t accurate descriptor for the hero’s crimson hair; maybe tomato head would be a better nickname?
Gin whistled as he thought about potential nicknames. Perhaps his temper would be just as amusing to poke at like Ichigo’s.

“I was just taking a walk, and I dropped by to tease you.”
A couple pillows thrown and some very unwise scuffling in a hospital room later, Gin managed to trick a date out of the hero. On one hand, it would serve as a very productive information gathering session. On the other, it would serve as a great distraction and allow him to freeload off the hero’s strong morals for free food and free lodging.
Todoroki Enji, Flame Hero: Endeavor, was a freshly graduated hero out of high school. Just over 18 to not be considered illegal jailbait and physically powerful with a quirk named Hellflame of all things – quite funny as a Shinigami who had personally seen the gates to Hell before - but young enough to not realize how Gin was manipulating the conversation and emotions.
Hm, if he really was interested in sticking around next to the hero in the future, he better make sure his official human age wasn’t too far off Todoroki’s.
(Gin failed to notice how attached he had already gotten to Todoroki’s warm presence and was already planning on sticking around in the future.)

If he were an ordinary Shinigami, Gin would be out of his depth sitting in a quaint coffeeshop for his date. But with how little there was to do in Hueco Mundo other than fight, watch Hollows fight, and watch Aizen fight some more, Gin regularly snuck into the Human Realm for entertainment.
Coffee still wasn’t to his taste.
While waiting for his date to show up, Gin looked over his new identification card. Ichimaru Gin, a 6’1 tall male, and 20 years old according to the card. As for his official quirk, he decided on energy manipulation – vague enough to encompass his kidou and shunpo techniques while keeping Shinsō a secret up his sleeve if he ever needed to assassinate another Aizen wannabe in this world. Also didn’t sound powerful or intimidating like a name as ‘atomic manipulation’ or ‘demonic magic’ considering how kidou incantations frequent brought forth Hell imagery. And once he learned enough of these human sciences, he could bullshit how his techniques were just another form of energy manipulation.
The doctors were impressed how quickly he was “recovering” basic information and knowledge, unaware of how he had been flipping through online textbooks and learning the middle and high school curriculum. He wasn’t considered a once in a lifetime genius for nothing. At this rate, he would soon be discharged within the week.
As to solve the issue of income, well, the easiest career to enter was clearly the heroics industry. With the license to use his Shinigami however he wished and few limitations set against heroics, coupled with the influence and social status the job title of Pro-hero carried, he would be more or less beyond reproach. And nothing said he had to always patrol or carry out the other pomp and ceremonies related to the duties of a hero – plenty of heroes held other jobs at the same time. Many were often tied to the heroic industry – models, actors, hero teachers – as heroes did it to improve their popularity and simultaneously increase their income, but as he didn’t care about reputation considering what he did to Gotei 13, that wouldn’t be an issue for him.
But the heroics industry was just as, or even more, corrupt than Gotei 13 and Central 46. Changing Shinigami and Hollows for Heroes and Villains, and the battle for good and even still remained. Worse, heroes pandered to the media, attended galas and paraded around endorsements, one after another without solving the root cause of villainy. They flaunted all their skills, strengths and weaknesses and all, before the cameras, distracted by the fame and glory rather than improving their power or focusing on their real jobs. At the very least, Shinigami tried to get to the Plus souls before they could evolve or get consumed by Hollows.
Well at any rate, he already had an expert in the heroics industry to pump more information to figure out whether this was a path worth pursuing.
Gin took a sip of his persimmon tea and spied Todoroki coming through the coffee shop entrance way. The tea was alright; dried persimmon was still the far superior way to consume persimmon. Regardless of what career path he chose, he would still seek to buy a large house with plenty of land where he could grow an orchard of persimmon trees again.
He admired the hero in front of him. Todoroki Enji was not a classically handsome man. Baby fat still clung to his cheek and softens the sharp jawline. Bright red hair stood against a backdrop of pale, cleanshaven skin and limber build. He clearly still had the potential to grow a few more inches despite his already towering height of 5’10 at the age of 18. But for now, Gin would wield his advantage in age and height again the shorter male.
