Part 1

(The mysterious artifact)

((In the city Mousetown, a duck with a bandana and a pink flower walked impatiently with a folder towards a building, where she immediately enters the office of her boss))

Gloria Pascoalina (As she walks to the desk): Sir, here are today's notes, although I must take more moral action regarding....

Boss: Never mind!!! We must deliver this now, time is money, Pascualina and ethics is just a delay.

Gloria Pascoalina: *sigh lightly* ok, sir, I have to go to Duckburg today for the news about McDuck Enterprises.

Boss: What does it have to do with Mousetown?

Gloria Pascoalina: Well, I did a little research on the supposed artifact that will be on display at the reopening of the city museum, speculating that it is related to some legally unfit group and....

Boss: Let's see, is it related to something illegal?!

Gloria Pascoalina: Well, not illegal, but unconventional.

Boss: For me it counts as illegal!!! You convinced me Pascualina, go to Duckburg and make a story for the newspaper fast, I want you to deliver that ready for me by tomorrow morning!!!

Gloria Pascoalina: Well, sir; that's why I warned you beforehand to do some research on that, but I'm missing a....

Boss: Not important, just go and make the note!!! Now, time goes by fast!!! Besides, you are one of the few who does her job right!!!!

((Gloria silently withdraws without expressing an emotion. Later, she drives her car straight to Duckburg, which is two and a half miles from Mousetown).

Gloria Pascoalina (thinking): It's always the same with the media, with reason they say that we journalists are insensitive... However, am I being genuine with what I expose or is it just for mere work that they prevent me? Well, no one will listen to what I'm thinking anyway, it's typical, no one likes a loose mouth like me.}

((In Duckburg, it was a sunny day on the bay, Della watches the sea calmly, then turns and sees her children playing bottle toss fighting with each other, it generates a smile on the pilot's face, when a large shadow appears above her, everyone starts to scream and walk away, the children and she notices Misty, the mutant krill))

Della Duck: Hey, Cousin Fethry.

Fethry Duck (head first in front of Della): Hey Cousin Della. How have you been today?

Della Duck (uncomfortable): Fine...

Fethry Duck: oh...ok (looks at the kids) Hi little Donalds, You guys grew up a little more when I saw you and that was in an invasion that no one died!!!!

Huey Duck: I'm so glad to see you, cou...sorry, Uncle Fethry.

Dewey Duck: Why do you call him uncle?

Della Duck (holding back her anger): Because Uncle Scrooge got the term wrong (then calmer and happier) and besides that a great relative.

Louie Duck (turning to his brothers): It's my idea, or does Mom sound angry?

Fethry Duck (gets off Misty, lands on his feet, waves goodbye to her, krill dives and turns to his cousin): Well, I thought I'd go to Uncle Scrooge's show to try to get a job.

Della Duck (holding back her anger): Why specifically with him?

Fethry Duck: Because we are family and besides I have many things to share during these 4 and a half years observing and writing down everything about the northern Pacific Ocean with all those wonders, shapes... (In a serious and deep tone with a vacant stare) and those dark nights of swells, waves that I thought the sunlight would never come back and corpses of creatures affected by the action of man itself in nature....

((Della and her children look at him uncomfortable by the weirdo's words, however, the youngest cousin shakes his head, returns to his normal state and hugs his cousin tightly))

Fethry Duck: You'll see, everything will be fine, I just have to impress him, this time and I have a whole approach.

Della Duck (firm): Great, cousin; get a little ahead of the exit, we'll catch up with you.

((Fethry walks away to the exit, while Della talks with her children))

Della Duck: Dewey, honey, please don't ever ask that question in front of your uncle again.

Dewey Duck: Why? If Uncle Scrooge...

Della Duck: Yes, but I'm upset with him now.

Dewey Duck: Why mom?

Huey Duck: It's because of the underwater lab thing.

Della Duck (half annoyed): Yeah.

[Flashback start]

[At the entrance to the mansion with the moonlanders, Fethry hugs his cousins happily and tells his story in the lab, going 4 and a half years alone without receiving a call back or visit until Huey and Dewey arrived for him; Della and Gladstone's faces showed astonishment and anger at the same time, while Donald nervously and diverting his gaze elsewhere, the pilot and the goose go straight to their Scottish uncle away from the rest, from a distant perspective they look very furious throwing their arms sharply, while Scrooge showed signs of indifference to them, we hear the angry shouts of the two cousins, while the rest uncomfortably moved away from the family drama, but Donald stands there watching uncomfortably and Fethry and the children did not understand what is happening, except Huey showing a dejected expression].

*And the FOWL cameras watching the discussion very uncomfortably, only Steelbeak chuckles*.

[End of Flashback]

((At the exit of the bay, Fethry waits for his family))

Fethry Duck (thinking): I hope my presentation to Uncle Scrooge goes a good way, showing how useful I can be... (Depressed) maybe he'll send me away to do something important... again, like it always was.

((Fethry without thinking crosses the street without looking until a honk makes him react and he stands still, the car brakes just in time))

???: Careful!!! You would have been hurt or worse!!!!

((Fethry turns to talk and sees Gloria, suddenly they both stare at each other, however, he goes back to the sidewalk and she starts the car and drives off. The duck didn't understand what happened, but was caught in the woman's expressionless eyes)).

(Date by app)

((At the exit of the dock, Della and her children arrive to see Fethry in a hurry due to the noise earlier))

Della Duck (worried): Fethry? Did something happen to you? No broken bones or bruises? ANSWER!!!!

Fethry Duck (unconcerned): yeah, yeah I'm fine... just... ehhhhhhh... better go?

Della Duck (more concerned): How can you say that!!! If you....

Fethry Duck: Calm down, I'm fine, I just want to... think, come on.

((Fethry walks carefully down the sidewalk, while Della and the kids don't understand what's going on. As they walk, Huey approaches and shows his eccentric uncle a dating app, Della watches them from afar along with her other two children. Huey changes the subject))

Huey Duck: I'm glad you came to me to find...LOVE!!!!!

Fethry Duck: I don't know about love, I just want to meet a possible friend or companion. I spent a lot of time alone with krill’s, it was funny their communicative method, as the way they do that is very curious, despite the size and going in a huge outfit that is usually....

Della Duck (interrupts): The important thing is that you have friends, cousin, I don't know in one of those, who it will be... *wink*.

Fethry Duck (thinking to himself): That woman from earlier... *blushes* Why that vacant stare is beautiful? I don't even know her and I fell for it easily, she seemed to be someone....

Huey Duck: Uncle Fethry?

Fethry Duck: What's the matter, little Donald?!

Dewey Duck: Why did you turn red?

Fethry Duck (nervously): Ehhhheheheheehheh... I... well... maybe it's a... soponza... no... Maybe the heat... of the city... (Shouting) Never mind time to get the job of...!!!!!!!

((Suddenly there is a buzzing sound from Fethry's cell phone, the group, except Louie, look at the cell phone and an appointment is notified)).

Huey Duck (happy): Uncle Fethry, you've got a date!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!

Dewey Duck (expectantly): With who?

Della Duck (suspiciously): Yeah... With who? Because it just looks like a flower as a profile, it's weird.

Fethry Duck: Maybe it's someone who doesn't have confidence?

Della Duck (suspicious): It doesn't make much sense, unless it's a....

Huey Duck: Because we'd better watch from afar if something goes wrong.

Della Duck: That's fine with me, because if somebody hurts you, cousin, I'll hit so hard that...

Fethry Duck: Thank you, cousin, understanding your concern... (Sees his cell phone) Looks like we're getting together tonight.

Huey Duck: But won't it be the Doctor Gearloose's new attempt exhibit at the museum? 

Fethry Duck: Yeah... I don't know, I think maybe I'll cancel the date.

((Fethry presses the cancel button, but inadvertently presses the accept button; the beatnik duck is petrified of making a mistake.)

Huey Duck: Dude...you pressed....

Fethry Duck (upset): I know, little Donald!!! I don't have a choice now, I have to go to that appointment!!! Oh my God, oh my God!!!!

Della Duck: You better don't go, maybe that appointment no....

Fethry Duck: But I promised to go, even though I did it by mistake. I can't break my promise online, otherwise I'll feel bad for missing!!! Cousin Della, sorry, but I must go I can't leave anyone alone, stranded, left like an animal... I DON'T WANT TO BE THAT KIND OF BEING!!!!!

Della Duck: Ehhhhhhhh... ok... If you want to go I can't force, I mean, you're an adult.

((Fethry looks at cell phone, sees a notification from the app "Sorry, I hit the date button by accident and cancelled the date, really sorry - flower."))

Della Duck: Fethry?

Fethry Duck: Ehhhhhh....hhhheeee... Looks like you hit the button by accident and there won't be...hhee.

((The kids look at their uncle worried about his sad expression, since they don't see him with that face very often. Della walks over to her cousin, pats his shoulder.))

Della Duck: Don't worry, I'm sure the right one will come along for you.

Fethry Duck: You think so?

Della Duck: I don't know. Sometimes being single can be an alternative. (Pointing her thumb at herself) Like me!

Fethry Duck: And you're not lonely?

Della Duck: I was alone for years, like you. But at least we have family, what's left of it.

((Fethry gives a small smile. The group keeps walking, the eccentric duck still thinking about the woman from earlier)).

[Scene change]

((In a coffee shop, Gloria sips herbal tea with Daisy Duck. Daisy checks her phone, averts her gaze to her hippie friend. The hippie gives a sad sigh)). 

Daisy Duck: Problems at work?

Gloria Pascoalina: Huh? How?

Daisy Duck: The same distracted Gloria.

Gloria Pascoalina: No. I'm just thinking about my date cancelled because of just....

Daisy Duck: What do you mean you canceled a date?!

Gloria Pascoalina: It's for work. It's no big deal.

Daisy Duck: What do you mean it's no big deal?!

Gloria Pascoalina: Daisy, we're not teenagers. Those situations are just shallow drama about need....

Daisy Duck: Gloria, I care for you, but... you can be direct. I've known you for years, you're so distant from others.

Gloria Pascoalina: I stay away for work.

((Daisy takes a long sip of coffee with a frustrated look on her face))

Gloria Pascoalina: I can't believe you talked me into downloading a dating app. You know that 70% of these apps are extortion scams, financial scams or a possible kidnapping.

Daisy Duck: Yeah, I remember you did a story on that, because you used me that time.

Gloria Pascoalina: At least it was the greater good... on the surface.

Daisy Duck: Is it necessary to be so straight with your answers?

Gloria Pascoalina: Yes. For...

Daisy Duck: I know honey, you don't need to repeat yourself.

Gloria Pascoalina: Okay. And these designs for the McDuck family?

Daisy Duck: Oh yes, they like me. And I've only been with that family for a short time. It's worth it, they turned out to be extravagant.

Gloria Pascoalina: Well, you talk about your boyfriend so much that I know his romantic history.

Daisy Duck: Could you have your own soon?

Gloria Pascoalina: Uh. I don't know, I have to go to Mr. McDuck's show today.

((Both friends drink their coffee at the same time, only Daisy looks uncomfortable at the hippie's cold response.))

[Night of the exhibition]

((The Duckburg museum glittered in lights and fancy cars. Scrooge stands at the entrance looking on peacefully. Away from the museum, in the innermost trees, the Beagle Boys, a large number along with their mother look mischievously at the building)).

Hello, how are you?

Maybe they stopped watching the story after a year of inactivity, and I don't blame them.

I warn you quickly, that this story will be rewritten, since I was not satisfied with the result and there are things that did not convince me 100%; the important ones will be kept:

• Fethry Duck and Gloria's relationship.
• The participation of Della and her children
• And the Beagles as villains.

It is a bit complicated at this point, however, I want to give something better, after an absence due to personal issues, I want to renew myself.
