Welcome to The Treehouse; Please Follow the Rules

Summary:

The Treehouse appears to those in need, whether it be of a break, or need to heal. Please read, respect, and follow the rules while here.

Note: Those who plan on using the Treehouse in the stories that they weave, please include the rules for those who aren’t aware. If you think a rule of the Treehouse needs to be added, removed, or adjusted, leave a note with your comment of what should be corrected.

Work Text:

Welcome to the Treehouse!
You must be very lucky if it has found its way to you. Please read and follow the rules while in the Treehouses' presence.

The Treehouse Rules:
1) The Treehouse will only appear to those who need it
- take time to breathe and think
- time will not pass in the ‘real world’ whilst you or others are here
2) Please be kind to all occupants of the Treehouse; It has shown itself to them for a reason
- purposefully fighting, taunting, discriminating, harming, or hurting others is not allowed, and will get you kicked from the Treehouse
- keep in mind that those who are here, are here for a reason
3) No weapons, masks, cloaks, or other ways of concealing or hiding allowed
- the Treehouse has appeared because you have a problem and need time to think, heal, adjust, and/or fix it
- wearing a mask, cloak, or being prepared for violence are things and ideals that one can hide behind, leading to clouded or lack of judgement
- it’s a place where anyone and everyone can be their true selves, leaving no reason for hiding behind a mask
4) Please be respectful to the Treehouse
- keep it in a clean condition and do not intentionally harm the tree
- you are allowed to borrow what you find inside, however intentionally stealing items is not allowed
5) Food and areas for rest are provided
- there is a room of beds in which occupants can sleep, however this amount is limited; if you have been here for a while, please be mindful of newcomers needing space
- there is an area for food which will automatically replenish, however this does not mean you can steal or be greedy
- there is also an area of which allows you to heal and regenerate any wound that may have occurred in the outside world; this does not account for any limbs/appendages that have been lost
6) Returners
- if this is not your first time with the Treehouse, welcome back!
- if you are someone who returns often, the Treehouse may make a specific area designated to you; this will include a cubby space for belongings, and an area for rest again designated specifically to you
7) New Comers
- if this is your first time with the Treehouse, welcome!
- be mindful of others who are here, as they’re all here for a reason
- as mentioned above, certain people who are frequent returners have their own spaces; please do not touch their belongings or enter their areas without their permission
- use the Treehouse for as long as you need to, but do not forget the world that waits for you outside the premise of the clearing
8) The Rules
- the Treehouse knows your intentions, do not forget this
- if you are to break any of the rules in ways that instill malice, the Treehouse will kick you out and leave you in the surrounding area near which you had originally found it; this time, you will not be able to find it again

Note - Appearance: The Treehouse tends to appear in a clearing in the forest, only able to be found by those who desire a moment to be away or those in need of it. In the center of the clearing sprouts a tall tree, with branches spread out all from just above the base, to near the very top. Through the leaves that coat the wooden appendages, rooms and windows can be seen, peaking out of hiding, but never enough that one would be able to have a finite idea of how big the Treehouse is. The Treehouse is always changing, and thus can never truly be perceived as a whole. A ladder hangs from a lower branch, the top of which is obscured by leaves. Climbing it is the entrance.
