It wasn't unnatural for the demon to be up this late. It also wasn't unnatural for Skeppy to be up either but training must have really gotten to him because Skeppy was out like a rock the moment they curled up in bed, only ever moving to hug Bad close.
Bad likes these moments, just the two of them. No worries, no nothing to come between them.
Nothing but the soft blankets keeping them warm. Not that they needed it, Bad being naturally warm and Skeppy practically holding him like a stuffed Teddy. Ironic that Bad, a demon that is supposed to strike fear into all is wrapped up in a cursed humans arms, yet its the place he's felt the most like himself. The most happiness he's felt. The most safe.
Bad's eyes catch the window that has started to steam up from the cold.
The moon and stars shine down onto them, every time this happens he sees the diamonds scattered on Skeppy's face shine bright just like the person who they are engraved in to.
Bad reaches a hand out to cup Skeppy's cheek and run his thumb over a couple gems and his heart melts from adorement as Skeppy subconsciously leans into Bad's hand.
Feeling tears weld up in his eyes Bad chuckles "What would I do without you Skeppy"
Bad then pulls himself closer to press soft pecks atop all of Skeppy's gems and then one last on his nose. A yawn leaves Bad's lips, he then lays back down and curls his tail around Skeppy's ankle loosely but tight enough to ground him as he feels himself fall into a slumber.
"I love you Skeppy"
