Day 17: Last Supper

Work Text:

Dean stared down at his dinner and it stared right back at him. He’d never had such a decadent meal, grilled fish with olives and figs, a plate of cheeses some of which he didn’t even know the name. He couldn’t eat any of it, his stomach roiling with nerves. Such a waste, this his last supper but it was tradition. The tribute was put on display before the village, adorned in fine linens with golden bracelets and arm cuffs, a golden Laurel crown adorning their head. They were set on a dais where they could be admired one last time before they were sacrificed to their god.

He looked back up again, eyes gazing past the merriment of the festival below to the cave beyond, and forced his lip not to tremble. These were his friends, his neighbors and all of them had turned a blind eye when the high council declared him the Prince of Love and Beauty. Over the last fortnight, artists had come from far and wide to paint him, sculpt him, a way for the village to keep him even after he was gone. He’d always been different, his sea-green eyes and sandy hair separating him from the other villagers, his complexion freckled and fair where theirs was dark and exotic. The artists had told him the symmetry of his face was near perfect, the planes of his body exquisite. When one of them tried to bed him, the man had been stoned to death. Dean had wept for the nice man who had only wanted to bring him a bit of pleasure before his untimely end, the only true kindness he’d been shown amid all the ceremonial worship. After that, he’d been locked away in a chastity device, not even able to sate his own needs leading up to his sacrifice.

The sharp clap of the high priest jolted him from his thoughts as the party-goers settled down to silence, their raptured faces turned towards the council table where the priest stood. He said a few words Dean didn’t care to listen to, staring straight ahead and into the dark maw of the cave he would spend his last days in, the large rock waiting just off to the side ready to seal him in.

Dean was anointed with oil, the heavy perfumed liquid poured over his head, globing in his eyelashes and weighing down his robe. He caught the fabric when it fell sodden from his shoulders, keeping his arms bent so as not to lose all sense of modesty as his chest was revealed. Dean was lifted into the air on the shoulders of two men, their calloused hands chaffing against his newly hairless calves.

They set him down at the mouth of the cave and Dean stared into the blackness, barely seeing anything past the entrance. He was handed a small lamp with oil enough for the night and he clutched at his robe with one hand, nearly dropping the lamp with his oil-slicked hands. It was tradition that the tribute walk to his own death and Dean had half a mind to turn and run but he knew he’d be caught and thrown in anyway. He stepped forward, holding the lamp as high as his shaking arm would allow, and slipped into the darkness.

Dean didn’t turn to watch the villagers roll the stone in front of the cave, sealing him inside. Instead, he stood facing the back wall where a door-like shape was carved into the solid stone, ancient symbols surrounding it. There was a small pallet tucked in an alcove with blankets and a jug. When Dean uncorked it he smelled strong wine and coughed as the fermentation stung his nose.

There was nothing else for him to do but sit and wait for the end. He knew no god was coming for him, had crept into the temple ten years ago when the last tribute was sacrificed, and heard their cries for days after they’d been left. Dean set the lamp down near the head of the pallet and let his sodden robe fall from his body leaving him nude except for his chastity device. They could have at least taken it off before putting him in this hole to die, he thought bitterly as he sat on the pallet.

It felt like an eternity and an instant when the lamp finally guttered out. Dean felt around for the wine jug, taking a sip of the foul-tasting liquid but found the more he drank the less he minded. Finally, when he could no longer keep his eyes open he laid down amid the blankets and fell asleep.

He woke to darkness and drank some more, losing track of time. Then the wine was gone and all that was left was his empty stomach and dry tongue. After that, he tried to stay asleep.

When he awoke again it was too gentle fingers combing through his hair, the motion soothing against his aching head. In the heavy arms of sleep, he thought it was his mother, his head tipping up to nuzzle at the wrist. A low rumble of a laugh shivered over Dean’s skin and his eyes flew open. He sat up too quickly, the room spinning, and Dean ended up disoriented in the total darkness of the cave. Someone was  in here with him.

“H-h-hello?” Dean’s voice trembled, throat feeling like a desert.

No reply, no sound but he felt cool fingertips brush along his jaw and he scrambled backward to get away from it, his back hitting the stone wall so hard he cried out. Another low chuckle in the dark. Dean felt tears sting his eyes, fear turning him cold and he wished he’d kept his robe. He felt around on the ground for the blankets and found them but also found what felt like a man’s thigh kneeling amid them. Dean immediately snatched his hand back.

“W-who are you?”

“Surely you know,” a deep melodious voice replied and Dean hesitated. “You were offered to me. Did they not tell you who I was?”

Dean swallowed hard. “C-Castiel.”

“Good.” Dean felt the fingers on his face again. “I wish to see you.”

Dean froze as two blue lights blazed in the darkness, illuminating the face around them and Dean had to fight the urge to back away. Before him, a man kneeled but he was no man. He was something other and Dean had never been more terrified in his life.

“You’re… you’re real?”

“I am,” the being nodded, the light going out when he blinked. “You’re exquisite. What do they call you?”

Dean swallowed hard. “D-Dean?”

The being gave a small smile, barely a quirk of his lips. “Hello, Dean.”

Silence stretched, the glow of the being - Castiel, Dean reminded himself - blinking in and out as he gazed upon Dean’s face for a long time. So long in fact that Dean’s muscles began to loosen and his attention started to wander. He startled when Castiel reached for his face again, this time coming in closer.

His breath smelled like honey, his hands strong but soft and Dean began to tremble, in awe of this otherworldly creature who was trying to pull him into their arms. One arm went around his waist, while the other ducked under one of his, Castiel’s hand reaching so the backs of his fingers brushed Dean’s cheekbone. Dean wasn’t sure what to do with his hands so he let them rest on the being’s biceps, feeling muscle and power that had nothing to do with strength.

“YOu’re mine to keep,” The god said, his voice a low rumble, and Dean couldn’t help but nod. “Do you consent?”

Dean looked down at the being’s chest, barely visible in the glow from his eyes. “Let… let me look upon your face.” Dean’s shoulders curled in, half expecting to be struck down for the request but the creature merely hummed and closed his eyes.

Dean shut his eyes quickly as light filled the room, unaccustomed to the brightness after being in the dark for so long. He peeked from under his lashes finding torches along the walls all lit. If Dean had known he could have used the lamp to light them. He felt anger rush forth that no one had told him and he’d suffered in the dark for days.

But all was forgotten when his eyes landed on the being in front of him, seeing him fully for the first time. He was handsome, heavy brow over piercing eyes the color of the ocean, tanned skin as if he’d been kissed by the sun. He had unruly dark hair that matched the thatches under his arms and those nestled around his cock. Dean looked away, cheeks blazing.

“You wished to look upon my face and you turn away,” Castiel commented, a hint of humor in his voice. “Do you dislike what you see?”

“No… no, I just…” Dean chanced a lookup into those fathomless blue eyes. “What… what do I call you?”

“You may call me by my name. Castiel.” Castiel gave a deep nod. “Or husband. That is the term of your people, is it not? For mated pairs?”

Dean’s eyes snapped up. “I’m… I’m your husband?”

Castiel gave a slow nod. “If you’ll have me.”

Dean’s mouth clamped shut. “I thought you were going to kill me.”

Castiel’s laughter filled the cave, his face breaking into a gummy smile that had Dean’s own lips curling up. “Why would I destroy something so beautiful?”

Dean blushed, his head tilting down but Castiel’s finger hooked under his chin. “Don’t look away. I wish to see your face.”

Dean tipped his face up, guileless eyes gazing into an ancient abyss, wisdom and warmth radiating out at him. He didn’t even flinch when he was bundled back into Castiel’s arms, going willingly, his own arms wrapping around Castiel’s shoulders. His fingers brushed against something soft and she jerked back a bit.

“What was that?”

“My wings.”

“Your…wings?”

Castiel gave a slight nod and Dean’s mouth dropped open in awe as large wings lifted from where they’d been tucked against Castiel’s back, spreading in a stunning display. Black as night and iridescent like oil in water, Dean couldn’t help but stare, his hands drifting from Castiel’s shoulders to gently run through the long flight feathers. The appendages twitched and Dean snatched his hand back. Castiel smiled.

“I’m going to bed you now.”

Dean could only nod. “Okay.”

Castiel’s hand on his lower back supported him as he moved to lay Dean back on the blankets. Dean’s hands stayed clutched on Castiel’s shoulders, still unsure what to do with them as the god leaned in close, nose brushing Dean’s. It felt like forever, staring into each other’s eyes, Castiel asking a question that Dean found himself nodding enthusiastically to. Castiel was smiling right up until their lips met, his hands still holding Dean at his lower back but one came up to cup the side of his face, impossibly gentle like he was afraid Dean would break.

Dean’s head tipped to the side as Castiel’s mouth moved across his cheek, dipping to nibble at his jaw and Dean let out a quiet sigh of contentment, arms tightening around Castiel. The god’s knee came up to sit snuggly between Dean’s legs and Dean whimpered, the straps of the chastity device digging into his sensitive flesh as he tried to harden. Castiel looked down between them, humming softly in thought before running a finger along the leather. Dean gasped as the straps seemed to melt away, the device falling between his legs where Castiel picked it up and tossed it aside.

Dean panted, his cock already beginning to fill as Castiel nudged his knee up against him and went in for another mind-melting kiss. Dean found himself returning his kisses feverishly, opening his mouth to let the god taste all of him, his hips beginning to shift so that he was rutting against Castiel’s strong thigh.

“Easy, little one,” Castiel chided and Dean stilled, cheeks blooming pink. “You’re beautiful in your pleasure..”

Castiel kissed down Dean’s chest, his hot tongue laving at Dean’s nipples until they were swollen and aching. Dean’s ankles had hooked around Castiel’s calves, feeling the brush of feathers tickle along his shins. Dean’s cock was hard and straining against his stomach, pre-come dripping into his belly button. It made Dean jump when Castiel’s tongue dipped in, chasing the liquid and humming at the taste.

Dean’s back arched and he cried out as Castiel took the tip of him into his mouth, the rush of pleasure too much and he was coming before Castiel even fully swallowed him down. Castiel continued to suckle him through it, hands finding Dean’s to thread their fingers together at his hips as Dean rode the wave, sweating and panting.

“I’m… I’m sorry… I-“

“Shhh,” Castiel’s warm breath on his spent cock made Dean twitch, hips undulating a bit when Castiel’s fingers trailed over his balls. “Let me please you.”

Dean gasped, eyes flying open as Castiel lifted his weak legs, exposing his naked hole and Dean almost told him to stop but the hot lash of Castiel’s tongue against his sensitive rim had him falling back against the blankets with a low moan. He’d never felt such a thing, his back arching, eyes staring blankly up at the stone ceiling, his hands winding in the blankets. His cock was filling again, sensitive but eager for more of what Castiel was doing to him. It twitched against his belly when Castiel slid a finger inside him, testing him.

Castiel hummed as he began to move that finger in and out slow, tongue still lapping at Dean’s tight rim. Dean looked down his body at the god, watching him with heavy lids, one hand still tangled in Dean’s while his other added another finger. Dean’s back arched again, giving a soft cry as the pad of Castiel’s finger moved over a spot inside him that sent electricity through his veins.

Castiel set a rhythm that Dean was trying to follow with his hips, his fingers squeezing at Castiel’s as the god scissored his fingers, licking between them and Dean was so hard he wanted to weep. He did when Castiel took him into his mouth again, bobbing his head a few times before licking his lips and climbing his way up Dean’s heaving sweaty body. Dean whimpered as Castiel’s fingers left him, clenching down onto nothing. His hands went for Castiel’s hips, holding them in his hands, unsure what he was asking for but knowing he wanted it more than anything.

Castiel touched his face tenderly, reaching between them and Dean felt the blunt tip of Castiel’s hard cock press against his rim and gasped when the head popped in with little pressure. Castiel’s eyelids fluttered but he forced himself to focus on Dean, his beautiful green eyes begging silently, strong arms now wrapped tight around Castiel’s shoulders. Castiel guided Dean’s thigh with a gentle hand and Dean responded by wrapping his legs around Castiel’s hips, crossing them at the ankles, effectively pulling him deeper and they both groaned.

“So beautiful, Dean.” Castiel’s hand turned Dean’s face to the side so he could kiss the long column of his neck and Dean just gulped in air, holding on tight. “Mine.”

“Yours,” Dean whispered back, barely coherent as Castiel pressed into the hilt. He felt like he was being impaled, a deep ache settling in his gut that needed to be sated. He needed Castiel to move. “Please, make me yours.”

Castiel groaned low, hitching Dean’s legs higher on his hips as he started a rolling rhythm that had Dean’s head tipping back, staring blankly at the ceiling, mouth agape and panting. Castiel made small mewling noises and little grunts of effort as he worked himself deeper, setting his pace by Dean’s whimpers and low moans.

“C-C-Cas,” Dean choked on his name and Castiel began to press harder, shifting on his knees.

Dean’s back arched, a sharp cry pulling from his throat as electric pleasure scalded through his veins and he was clenching around Castiel, coming in short spurts between them. Castiel hung his head, working Dean through it, hands clenching and unclenching on Dean’s shoulders. Dean’s thighs were shaking around him, his cries dying to overstimulated whimpers as he curled tighter into Castiel’s body. Castiel shoved his arms beneath Dean’s shoulders, cradling him against his chest as he raced towards release, murmuring praise and compliments into Dean’s fragrant hair.

When Castiel came, his wings spread in a stunning display, large and twitching before jerking forward to cacoon them under a dark canopy of feathers. Dean’s hands delved back into Castiel’s hair, holding his face against his neck as the god cried out, hips jerking hard against Dean’s.

Dean was sore and panting as they came down, his legs still locked around Castiel’s waist trembling. He couldn’t seem to get his limbs under control, muscles spasming every now and then though his body was limp and sated. Castiel finally reanimated after some deep and steady breathing, his lips peppering kisses along Dean’s neck and collarbone. Dean turned his head, capturing Castiel’s lips in a fiery kiss that had him hardening against his belly again already.

“You’re perfect,” Castiel murmured against Dean’s lips, his hand slipping down to circle him, giving a slow stroke. “And you’re mine.

Dean hummed, back arching. “Yours,” Dean intoned, resting against the blankets as Castiel jerked him slow and smooth in a rhythm Dean never wanted to end. “All yours. Always.”
