In Liberty island, New York:
Eagle and Uncanny Valley hand over a confused Techno Pirate to the police under the watchful eyes of Knight Owl and Majestia. He enters the cargo, still asking “Seriously! What happened?”. Although no one really answered him. Eagle smiled triumphantly. She and Uncanny were triumphant for once without the help of their mother or other team members. Then she remembered she couldn’t stay as Eagle forever, she had to return this talon.
She approached Ladybug, holding the talon. She was about to hand the miraculous back to her, when Ladybug stopped her “Keep it. I know you’ll use it well” she smiled. Eagle turns to Knight Owl, who remains impassive. “I’ve disobeyed again, which means I’ll never get my weapons back, right?” downhearted, expecting another scolding from her. Still, her mother stood as intimidating as her Owl suit.
Barbara, behind the mask, softened. Her daughter has grown, she should’ve seen that. Instead, she answered with a soft voice the voice modulator could offer “With the powers of the miraculous, you won’t need them anymore… and I was wrong” she slightly chuckles “my little sparrow is ready to become a fearsome eagle”. Eagle overflowing with joy throws herself into Knight Owl’s arms “thank you mom!--” realizing another mistake, she pulled back “ah-! Uh- I mean-! Thank you! Sir!”. Knight Owl doesn’t blame her for the slip-up.
“It doesn’t matter anymore. With this new suit, everyone now knows Sparrow is a female not a male. And that the legendary original Knight Owl and Sparrow are long gone. Maybe it’s a-” Knight Owl then finally takes off the mask, his- or rather her feminine voice was revealed “sign the time has come to embrace who we really are”. The woman smiles. Majestia stood from the back, “and even though it still worries us” she joins their foreheads together “the only way for you to grow is for us to let you take chances”. Majestia and Knight Owl congratulate the young heroes “Thank you for inspiring them”. “And please forgive us for misjudging you” Knight Owl apologizes.
Finally, Ladybug, Cat Noir, Eagle and Uncanny Valley exchange a symbolic “pound it!”, as if to seal the very first French-American superhero team. And from this day, Eagle knew it was the start of a new beginning.
