Summary:
Fanart for the Hobbit 2021 gift exchange. Of Thorin and Bilbo sharing a moment together.

Hi PunchyPomeloPeach, this was a very nice assignment, I tried for a more traditional illustration of the lads so I could go ham on some dwarven patterns.
I find both of them very fetching in each other's colours so Thorin gets the red outfit and Bilbo the blue.
I also slid in a little head cannon idea that thorin would have made Bilbo's crown and one of the company made Thorin's crown, which is made of iron. A simple sturdy crown to represent a hard won reign.
