It has to do with All Might and his quirk, and I was wondering if you knew anything about that. I know it probably sounds crazy, but I spent the last year training with him, and I don't think he told anyone—he said he wanted me to be able to say I got into UA on my own merit. That was really thoughtful of him! But now he’s gone, and I don’t know what to do.
It’s just…he gave me something, and I need help figuring out how to use it. He told me not to tell anyone, but I thought you might already know what I’m talking about. I know you stopped being his sidekick a while ago, and maybe you don’t already know, but maybe you can help anyway?
I don't want to give too many details in this email because it probably isn't private enough. To all the newbies posting about All Might: use the search function
PRO HEROES
I’ve seen an uptick of posts about this topic lately and I figured someone should clue in the newbies because it’s getting out of hand. TL;DR: All Might died six years ago. If you think this latest incident (last month’s Musutafu building collapse) is “out of character,” you’d be right, because IT’S NOT ALL MIGHT.
There have been numerous posts on this topic before, so I won’t rehash everything here—the evidence is there if you care enough to look (hint: there’s a search bar at the top of the page). Essentially, AM disappeared for a few months six years ago and when he came back he drastically reduced public appearances, cut ties with his sidekick Sir Nighteye, laid off nearly all of his agency staff, and almost completely stopped working with other heroes.
The most popular explanation is that the HPSC was afraid of how the public/villains would react to his death and enlisted someone with a shapeshifting quirk to perpetuate the idea that AM is still out there. There are other theories, but no matter how you explain it, the fact is that “All Might’s” behavior over the last six years doesn’t match the rest of his career, and the events of the past few weeks are just the latest example.
So yeah, for people new to this sub or this topic, there’s a wealth of evidence out there already. I don’t want to discourage new voices, but please take the time to do some research before you jump into the conversation.

Personally I don’t buy into the HPSC angle, I think if that was the case they would have gradually phased him out after like a year or two. Keeping it up for 6 years is just delaying the inevitable and will make the eventual reveal worse. HPSC is too smart for that.

I've said it before and I’ll say it again: this entire theory could be explained by a massive injury or illness six years ago. Yeah, All Might’s human, yeah, he’ll die someday, but he could just as easily get cancer or a head injury or something. Or idk maybe he cut back public interaction because of one of his many psycho stalkers. Or because he’s almost 50 and probably getting tired.

Agreed. Regardless of whether we’re talking about the real All Might or an impostor, this is uncharacteristic behavior. All Might has always been about saving people with a smile and keeping spirits up when citizens feel hopeless. Even if he couldn’t help with the rescue for some reason he should have said something afterwards. Something’s off here and it’s not just OP’s superiority complex.

Ok but counterpoint: the entire fight with seismic was a ploy to kidnap all might, and the building collapse was a distraction so they’d have time to capture him. Even if he’s been a fake for the last six years, it’s still hella suspicious that he didn’t show up or say anything about the rescue.
My money’s on him reappearing in a few days having taken down whatever villain organization tried to kidnap him.

MUSUTAFU — Japan’s number one hero hasn’t been seen in over a month, and people are starting to worry. All Might’s last confirmed appearance was his battle with Seismic in downtown Musutafu, now remembered primarily as the cause of the devastating Musutafu building collapse.
All Might was criticized for his absence from rescue efforts following the collapse, and his silence in the days after only fueled the fires of speculation. Over the last few weeks criticism has turned to concern and speculation, which have in turn spawned countless theories regarding the number one hero’s whereabouts.

I’m really sorry for emailing again! But I got the same automatic response the second time, and it’s been a few weeks, so I thought I’d try again.
It’s just that things have gotten really difficult, and I’m not sure I can do it alone anymore, and I don’t have anyone who can help me. I have something of All Might’s, and I can’t say what it is over email, but I think Sir Nighteye would probably know and be able to help me. I promise I’m telling the truth, and I can prove it if I can talk to Sir Nighteye. It might help if he knew that we have a mutual friend named Yagi. If he knows Yagi, he should know that he can trust me.
It seems like people are starting to notice whats going on with All Might, and I kind of know something about that (you probably already know, but if you don't, I could tell you…)

THIS IS NOT A DRILL. The actual MIGHTY AGENCY released a statement announcing All Might’s retirement, it’s 100% confirmed. I work for a news outlet and just saw the press release (yes I’m supposed to be working right now shut up).
Honestly it wouldn’t be so shocking if he’d given us a little warning—he’s been active for 30+ years with basically no breaks. But this is so sudden, and given his nearly two months of complete silence following the Musutafu collapse…it seems like there’s something we’re not being told. Usually people hold a press conference for this sort of thing, explain why they’re retiring, or at least announce what they’re doing next. But…nothing.
Maybe I’m overreacting, but honestly this has me in tears. All Might has been #1 for basically my entire life and I’m scared of a world without him. He’s the entire reason I’m a hero fan in the first place. I know there’s an actual human being behind the symbol, but All Might as a symbol is such an important part of my life…idk how to feel.
