Chapter Text
Deep below the Jaku Hospital lay the lab of nomus, a mad doctor, and three people awaiting clearance to go back to the Liberation mansion. Toga couldn’t help but groan in annoyance and kick her feet back and forth on the table.
“Oh, would you hold still?!” Ujiko huffed. “I’ve just got to make sure your eye is okay, so you could keep that eyepatch off!”
“But you’ve already checked it like twice! I’m fine!” She wavered as Shigaraki rolled his eyes. “She’s fine, so let’s go. I’ve got a meeting with Re-Destro in an hour, and I’ve got to get dressed “appropriately.”
“Shigaraki Tomura, your black coat, black shirt and black pants, and red sneakers aren’t appropriate.” Kurogiri stated, “How many times must we go through this?”
“Until I can convince you that it is appropriate.”
“Alright, alright. I suppose you’re all free to go, but if your eye starts hurting again, Toga, I don’t want to hear any complaining.” Dr. Ujiko warned.
“Yes, yes!” She dismissed before hopping off the table. “Tomura, how long is this meeting supposed to take? They get so boring and take away the time I can use to watch Izuku and Ochaco!”
“Shouldn’t last long, only thirty minutes at most,” Shigaraki grumbled as Kurogiri followed beside Tomura. As they walked out of the lab, Toga ended up tripping over one of the nomus and huffed in response.
“What the...?” When she looked back, she noticed Johnny on his side, staring at them with an odd look in his eyes. “Doctor, is that one okay?” Toga asked as Kurogiri walked over to help her up.
“Hm? Oh, he should be fine, I gave him a checkup earlier and—“ Before he could finish a sentence, Johnny opened his mouth and black liquid engulfed the three villains.
Dr. Ujiko couldn’t help but stare wide-eyed in shock and horror. “Johnny! What on Earth did you do?!” The doctor nearly shrieked while lifting the nomu off the ground. All Johnny did was blink in response and look at the doctor…
Meanwhile, two of the three fell on what felt like a tile floor. Shigaraki groaned as he pushed himself up to get a better view of their surroundings. They looked to be in some sort of rundown store, judging by the rustic look of the place. Maybe an old mall of sorts? He frowned but paused when an all too familiar misty hand reached out from behind him to pull him up. “Are you alright, Shigaraki Tomura?”
“Yeah, yeah. I’m fine, Kurogiri.” Shigaraki brushed off while looking around. “Hey, do you recognize this area?”
“No, but if I had to guess, I’d say it’s that abandoned mall around Jaku Hospital.” That was when Kurogiri paused and looked around. “Where did Toga go?”
That was when they heard a loud shriek echo outside the abandoned store. The two recognized that scream and quickly dashed out and past the other empty stores. When they turned the corner they found Toga’s body falling halfway through a hole in the floor. She was gripping the broken tiles in front of her to try and keep her from slipping.
“Tomura!! Come here and help me!! I’m starting to slip and there’s something beneath me trying to—“ Suddenly a loud growl could be heard coming from down below where the hole was. Shigaraki quickly ran over to her and tried to pull her up and Kurogiri followed suit.
When Shigaraki looked down he saw a horrific monster waiting below. It was a large, dark green creature with a slimy, snake-like body. It had multiple slit-like eyes that shifted around, but what caught his eye the most was how large its mouth was and the rows upon rows of sharp teeth it had. From the looks of it, they seemed to be three stories up, and the thing looked to be waiting on Toga to fall judging by how its body twisted from side to side in excitement. However, that grin didn’t last long due to Kurogiri and Shigaraki managed to pull Toga up.
“Tomura get back!” Kurogiri’s voice wrung out as the thing shot upwards, breaking more of the ground around them. The three went flying backward, but luckily Kurogiri managed to extend his left arm and wrap around the two to keep them from flying off the third-story railing.
“What the hell is that thing?!” Toga exclaimed in a panic as the thing's body emerged upwards from the hole in a snake-like manner. It let out a loud shriek as it lunged for them.
“Kurogiri! Warpgate!!” Shigaraki yelled, and Kurogiri quickly extended his body from outside his clothes. He then formed his body around the two villains while some more of his body reached out towards the creature in tendril-like appendages to try and wrap around its throat.
When the tendrils wrapped around its neck, he tried to tighten them as much as possible to snap its neck. This only seemed to backfire because the creature’s neck ended up splitting into eight smaller, faster creatures.
“Ugh! What the hell are these things even made of?!” Kurogiri huffed before moving his tendrils backward as the creatures slithered towards them fast. He frantically looked around before warping them to the bottom floor.
“Tomura, I do believe it would be best for you to use your quirk on those things when they come down here!” Kurogiri spoke urgently while watching those things let out more ear-piercing shrieks while trying to slither down the wall.
“Alright, alright! But you’re going to have to let me see them so I know which way to send out a decay wave!” Shigaraki scowled while kneeling on the ground with his right palm close to the floor. Kurogiri morphed his body backward to give Shigaraki a better view.
“Hey, are there any sharp objects nearby I could use?” Toga asked while Kurogiri looked around and then warped over an old utility knife.
“They’re getting closer!!” Shigaraki called over as one jumped down and tried to bite Toga. The rest of the creatures jumped down and came after Shigaraki.
“dIe DiE dIe!”
The creatures spoke in unison as Toga slashed at one of their eyes, which caused it to shriek in pain and stumble backward. When she pulled the knife out of its eye, she noticed that it was now covered in purple blood and grimaced at that. “Tomura! Go for the eyes! That seems to be their weak point!”
“I’m trying but these things are too damn fast!” Shigaraki scowled as one of them tried to take a bite out of his left arm, but Kurogiri blocked the attack with his body and warped the creature a few feet away.
“Gah!” Toga gasped while one jumped on her back and tried to bite her shoulder. In response, Kurogiri quickly warped it away, but Toga ended up slipping and cutting her knee on a few broken pieces of glass.
“Dammit…! That hurt!!”
“My apologies, Toga,” Kurogiri frowned while moving a piece of his body outwards to her arms so she could grab on and pull herself up.
“Hey!!” Shigaraki yelled while decaying one of the creatures. “On the count of three warp, all of us backward, and that’s when I’ll send out a decay wave!”
“On it!”
“Three…two…one! Now!!” Shigaraki shouted before Kurogiri’s body wrapped around them and warped them a few feet backwards.
When the creatures realized what had happened, they came charging at the three. At that notion, Shigaraki quickly placed his palms down in front of him. The ground around them started to shake and rumble as cracks started to form up the sides of the walls. Windows started to crack and break above them, and Kurogiri quickly morphed his body around Toga and some of it above Shigaraki to protect them. The creatures seemed to pause as the decay came their way due to chunks of the mall ceiling starting to fall and crush them. The damage only got worse as the ceiling and creatures began crumbling under all the decay. It almost seemed like a mini earthquake occurred due to how many things started to crumble and break around them.
It took a few moments for everything to turn to dust, but when Shigaraki presumed the things were dead, he lifted his palms off the ground.
“Did we kill them?” Toga asked while peeking out of some of the warp villain’s mist. “I think so…” Shigaraki muttered with a heavy breath.
Suddenly, there was movement under the crumbled remains of the mall. “Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!!” Shigaraki groaned as some of those creatures emerged from the rubble, hissing. Kurogiri quickly wrapped a tendril around Shigaraki’s torso and pulled him backward and making his body larger to try and protect the two. He formed a sort of dome around them to keep them hidden from view.
That was when the three heard a whistle from a distance, followed by a, “Woah! Well, aren’t you an odd special grade!” There was a tall man with bright white hair in what looked to be some purple uniform. It reminded Kurogiri of the shiatsu students' uniforms, but what struck him as odd was the blindfold and mochi bag the guy was carrying.
Kurogiri narrowed his eyes at the man in response and morphed his body closer to the two villains to try and protect them more.
“I see you got two curse users underneath you, huh? Are you protecting them?” That was when the man noticed the hissing of curses nearby. He merely flicked his fingers and used his infinity to take down the curses. “Did you do all this? Kill that grade two and destroy this building? I gotta say, if you did, I'd be impressed! You made my job a whole lot easier.”
“So what if we did?” The warp user spoke as the man with the blindfold clapped his hands. “So you do talk! How interesting!” He then moved to lift his blindfold and expose one eye. “Although I must admit, you’re odd for a special grade curse. It looks like you have some human organs. Hm…Are you a death womb painting by any chance? Though that wouldn’t explain why you’re protecting two curse users unless you made a binding vow with them.”
“Pardon?” Kurogiri asked while tilting his head, similar to a dog trying to listen better to its owner.
“Kurogiri, let us through.” Another voice spoke, and that was when he moved some of his misty body backward; however, he kept a tendril out so Toga could hold onto it instead of falling on more glass.
“I don’t know what you’re going on about but Kurogiri isn’t a curse or whatever bullshit you just said and I was the one that decayed the building,” Shigaraki said while pointing a finger in the man’s direction.
“Decay? You did all this?” He mused, “And what do you mean he’s not a curse? Is he a death womb painting as I suggested?”
“Yes, I did all this. It’s my quirk, decay.” Shigaraki picked up a piece of debris off the ground before holding it with five fingers and making it crumble into dust. “Whatever I touch with all five fingers turns to dust. It doesn’t matter if it’s an object or organic, it’ll decay. Well…unless its particles are constantly shifting around or too small like water, sand, and mist. As for your other statement, Kurogiri isn’t a death womb painting or curse. He just looks like that because that’s his quirk.”
“Do you even know who we are?” The girl questioned while idly playing with a rustic knife, “Usually, most citizens run away. Since they know we’re wanted, villains.”
“Can’t say I’ve heard of any of you or a quirk before.”
“You’ve never heard of the League of Villains or the Paranormal Liberation Front before?”
“Was I supposed to?”
“Tomura,” Kurogiri cut in, “Remember Johnny has a teleportation quirk similar to mine, and that he was malfunctioning earlier today.”
“What exactly are you suggesting?”
“Perhaps Johnny teleported someplace where quirks aren’t a thing.”
“You mean like an alternative universe? Ugh…” Shigaraki groaned and reached up to scratch at his neck. “That kinda sounds ridiculous, don’t you think?”
“But that guy just used a quirk to kill those monsters! And he doesn’t know what a quirk is.” Toga motioned to where the grade two curses once were.
“He could be lying.” Shigaraki said as he scratched at his neck.
Gojo couldn’t help but stare in amusement as the three continued to argue back and forth. Although the thought of having three people from a different universe sounded absurd, he had done the math before and concluded that it could occur under particular circumstances. The person known as Kurogiri also seemed to prove this theory, judging by his existence alone. Six Eyes were giving him mixed signals as he looked closer at them. He could see some organs hiding in the mist, such as a heart, lungs, and stomach, along with some shiny metal things and clothes. Everything else seemed to be a jumbled mess, and his cursed energy blended in with his mist form.
The other two cursed energies were strong as well, and he could see remnants of cursed energy on the rubble around them. It seemed like the one with decay unintentionally focused a small amount of his cursed energy on the curses they were fighting, which caused some of them to decay. He couldn’t quite figure out the girl's technique, but it did surround her body and give off an orange glow.
“Okay!” Gojo clapped his hands together again, getting their attention. “If what you say is true, which mathematically can happen, I’d suggest you three come back with me to Jujutsu Tech. Sending you out in this version of Japan would get you some stares, especially your friend there.”
“Why should we trust you? We don’t even know your name.” Toga pointed out while Shigaraki walked over to let Toga grab his arm to stabilize herself.
“Ah, Right.” Gojo waved. “I’m Gojo Satoru, a teacher at Jujutsu Tech, which teaches upcoming jujutsu sorcerers how to fight curses using their cursed techniques. Those little things you were fighting about earlier? Those things were known as curses, and it takes a lot of curses, otherwise known as negative energy, to be able to see them. Either that or you were in a life-and-death situation, but that’s beside the point. I’m the best sorcerer there is, and step one to becoming a good sorcerer is to be able to see curses. Which you all possess, so congrats!”
“Uh-huh…” Shigaraki deadpanned while Toga frowned and held onto Shigaraki’s arm tightly. “Cursed technique?”
“Yes, I suppose a cursed technique would be similar to a quirk in a way. It’s an ability sorcerers are born with.”
“Is that how you killed those, curses?”
“Correct, see you’re already learning.” Gojo smiled. “Now, can I get your names? I’d like to know, otherwise, I’m going to give you all some fun nicknames.”
“I’m Tomura Shigaraki, the leader of the paranormal liberation front, which is an organization of villains looking to take down Hero Society.”
“Ah, so you’re a spooky leader, huh? Looking to destroy a system?”
“Yes…”
“I like it. Now you,” Gojo pointed at Toga, who smiled in response and showed off her fangs.
“I’m Toga Himiko, and my quirk allows me to transform into anyone I want as long as I ingest their blood. The blood that I ingest turns into energy, and the more blood I drink, the longer I can keep up the form. Recently, I learned I can even copy other people's quirks, but to do so, I have to love that person a lot. I do kinda have to get naked though, otherwise, their clothes get layered on top of mine, which can be a bit embarrassing.”
“Very interesting indeed, and that explains the fangs, now your friend who totally isn’t a special grade.” He motioned to Kurogiri. “What’s your deal? Because the more I look at you with Six Eyes, the more of a headache you’re giving me.”
“I beg your pardon?” Kurogiri answered sharply as Gojo pulled his blindfold down. “My eyes allow me to see and perceive things on a much more advanced level than most humans, and the more I look at you, the more confused I get. You have some organs in that mist, but not nearly enough to be classified as human, even though your friends here claim you’re human. If anything, you remind me of a cursed corpse.”
“I’m able to manipulate my body’s bones and organs in multiple ways,” Kurogiri stated before maneuvering his body back into his clothes. “Right…Okay, well,l I wanna give you a quick heads up that everyone we’re about to meet is going to be scared of you and mistake you for a special grade curse.”
“Special grade curse?” Shigaraki echoed while furrowing his brows at Gojo. “Yes, see, there is a power system regarding how strong curses are. It goes from grade four, which is the weakest, all the way up to grade one and special grades, which are the strongest and most dangerous kinds of curses. Special grades can communicate, think, and usually have bipedal human appearances. The way Kurogiri can manipulate his body also makes him seem more 'curse-like,' if you will. So keep that in mind when we meet other sorcerers, they’re all going to assume your friend there is a special grade curse at first glance.”
“How lovely…” Kurogiri sighed while fixing the last bits of his clothes.
“Anyways, let’s head down to the road so my friend Ijichi can take us back to school. There, we can get Toga healed up and pay a visit to the principal. Oh, and it’d probably be better for someone to carry her since we’ll be walking down a hill.” Gojo hummed before Kurogiri got a nod from Toga, and so he carefully lifted her bridal style.
“Let’s get going,” Shigaraki crossed his arms, “I don’t like this place at all and want to get out of here as soon as possible.”
“Right, right. This way,” Gojo motioned up ahead.
.
.
.
When they reached the bottom of the hill, they spotted a black car parked on the side of the road with someone inside. The person quickly jolted up when he heard someone knock on his window. He then turned to the noise and rolled down the window.
“There you are, Gojo. I was starting to get worried… It’s nearly ten as it is and—“
“And that’s great in all but I’d like for you to step out of the car, Ijichi, you’ve got more passengers.” Gojo cut him off.
Ijichi’s eyebrows furrowed, and he moved to step out of his car. Though when he did, he was met with the three quirk users. The driver nearly let out a shriek at the sight of them. “Gojo!! That’s a special grade curse! Why is—why is it here?! And who are the other two?! Oh, don’t tell me this is another Yuta and Rika situation! The higher-ups are going to kill you!”
“So he wasn't exaggerating.” Shigaraki scowled while reaching to scratch at his neck again.
“Appears so…” Kurogiri commented while Toga frowned and looked down at her bleeding knees. Kurogiri kept having to pull her hands away from her knees so she wouldn’t get cut by the glass when she tried to drink her blood.
“Relax, Ijichi,” Gojo waved off. “These three aren’t from our universe, and that guy isn’t a special grade curse at all. He’s human, but he just looks like that, I think.”
“You think?!” Ijichi panicked, “And a different universe?! Gojo, that sounds absurd even for your standards!”
“It’s fine, I did the math, and their story checks out. Now let’s get going to Jujutsu Tech. I got these new mochi cakes for my students from that new sweet shop downtown, and I really wanna try them out.”
Ijichi couldn’t help but let out a sigh and shake his head. “Why am I not surprised that the sweets are more important than the supposed three people from an alternate dimension?”
“Because it’s me~!” Gojo hummed before opening the passenger door. “Now let’s get going, and I’ll explain on the way there.”
“You’re serious about this…?”
“Of course I am. Why wouldn’t I be?”
Ijichi narrowed his eyes before glancing at the three and then back at Gojo. “At least give the girl some napkins to clean the blood off her legs.”
“You got it,” Gojo smiled before reaching into the front compartment on the passengers' side while Ijichi got back in the driver's seat and turned on the car. He was mumbling to himself about this being a bad idea, but Gojo paid no mind.
Eventually, they were all in the car and on their way to Jujutsu Tech. Toga kept one hand on the napkins and the other on her phone as they rode. She was seated in the backseat between Kurogiri and Shigaraki and leaning on the middle console. At the moment, she was scrolling through her phone and showing Gojo some articles regarding heroes she had opened before being teleported there.
“See, this is All Might. He was the former number one hero of Japan, but recently retired due to his being weakened in a fight against Tomura and Kurogiri’s boss, All for One.” She clicked another article and tilted her phone towards Gojo, “And this is the new number one hero, Endeavor, and he has a flame quirk. It’s like, super fire basically. His sidekick is also the second pro hero ranked in Japan, Hawks. He’s cute in all but our friend Dabi, who’s also a villain, has a little thing for him.”
“Sounds like your world tries to make everything black and white.” Gojo mused as she scrolled down the article and showed him more pros. “Is that why you became a villain?”
“Mmhm, the thing about our society is that if you have a 'villainous' or 'monstrous' quirk, you get outcast and treated like a villain before you’ve even become a villain.”
“Not to mention they plaster hero bullshit on everything and anything,” Shigaraki added, “And legally heroes are only allowed to use their quirks in public. It doesn’t matter the situation, if you use your quirk trying to save someone, you’d get a ticket or be arrested if you’re not a pro.”
“Huh, I could only imagine how annoying that would be.” Gojo thought, while Ijichi frowned and turned right to enter the hidden back road. The whole time Ijichi was listening to their conversation, but he kept glancing in his rearview mirror, mainly to look at Kurogiri. He didn’t trust him at all, especially since he kept quiet.
“You have no idea…” Shigaraki muttered before checking his text messages to see if any of his texts went through, but sadly, none of them went through. He felt like decaying something in frustration, but turned his attention to Toga, who was showing Gojo some pictures of her and the other league members.
There were a lot of selfies of her and a guy with what appeared to be a black and white Deadpool cosplay, along with some pictures of Shigaraki and a lizard-looking guy playing video games. What struck him as odd was what looked to be a disembodied hand off to the side.
“And this is Dabi, the guy I was talking about earlier, along with Hawks.” She swiped over to a photo of him and Hawks chatting on a couch. Dabi had an off-putting smile and lit one of his fingers on fire while Hawks was nervously waving his hand to try and get him to stop. It looked like Dabi was trying to set a stray feather on fire. “He also has a flame quirk but his body can’t handle it real well. It’s why his body is covered in skin grafts.”
She then slid through a few other photos, many involving selfies of her and odd individuals, but then she got to a photo of a certain mist man bartending with a man in a flamboyant outfit. “And this is Mr. Compress! He was trying to show Kurogiri some magic tricks while he was bartending.”
Now that caught Gojo’s attention, and he glanced over at him. “ You bartend?”
“Yes, I do.” Kurogiri stated while Ijichi’s shoulders tensed, “Is there an issue?”
“Nah, Nah. I was just wondering since most of the teachers here like alcohol. I don’t since I’m a lightweight.” Gojo explained while pulling out his phone and showing Toga a photo of him and Shoko. “This is Shoko, she loves her alcohol, and she’s going to be the one to heal your knee.”
“Ohh! She’s really cute!!”
“Wouldn’t alcohol screw with your eyes?” Shigaraki asked out of the blue. Gojo couldn’t help but pause at that notion. “Correct. Although I must admit, very few people have thought of that before.”
Shigaraki muttered something unintelligible as Toga clicked a new tab and showed Gojo some photos of the UA students. “Anyway, this is Izuku and Ochaco! They’re both super strong, and they look so pretty when they’re covered in blood. I want to stab them over and over again to see them stained with blood. I also want to become them because I love them so much!”
“That’s a unique way of displaying affection.” Gojo thought out loud while Ijichi tensed. “But it’d make sense with your technique. You know, you kinda remind me of a vampire.”
“Oh, you know what? I enjoy vampire movies!” Toga gasped before she started rambling about her favorite movies and her quirk as a whole. Shigaraki tuned her out while Kurogiri was looking out the window, trying to memorize where they were going.
.
.
.
It took some more time and more chatter, but the group eventually arrived at what looked to be a large Buddhist-like school. Although, due to the night sky, it was hard to make out the finer details. Shigaraki frowned and narrowed his eyes at the buildings up ahead. He could see a few lights on, but not many.
“Alright, let’s head to Shoko’s so we can get her knee healed up and then to bed because it’s getting late.” Gojo grinned while moving back and forth on his feet.
“I thought you said you were going to give the mochi to your students.” Ijichi frowned as Gojo shrugged. “I will, but it’s a bit too late to give them any sweets tonight. Plus, I don’t hear Kugisaki yelling, which is always a good sign. Now come on, this way.”
Gojo started walking ahead of the group and waved his hand, beckoning them to follow. Kurogiri looked at Ijichi as he picked up the Toga bridal style once again. “Thank you for the ride.”
“O-Oh! Err—it was my pleasure… Now I gotta uh..go pick up Nanami. Yes... Goodbye!” With that, he quickly got in his car and drove off while Kurogiri sighed. “I hope it’s not going to be like this the whole time…”
“Aw, don’t worry, Kurogiri,” Toga tapped his chest, “Tomura and I will make sure everyone knows you’re not some big, bad, scary curse! Besides, that guy already seemed skittish. Don’t let it bother you.”
“What she said.” Shigaraki added as they started walking, “If any of these sorcerers try to hurt you, I’ll decay them.”
“I appreciate the gestures, but let’s not try to kill anyone, please.” Kurogiri chided,” I find it more of an inconvenience when people are scared off by my appearance.”
“Well, I find it rude,” Toga complained as they walked up some wooden steps and followed Gojo down an outside corridor.
“This place seems very traditional for a school.” Shigaraki pointed out as Gojo glanced back at him. “It’s a pretty old school, and we have had to pose it as a 'religious school' online so regular people don’t get suspicious.”
“Makes sense...” Shigaraki muttered as Gojo came to a halt and swung open a door. “Shoko! Oh, and Principal Yaga, just the people I wanted to see.”
“Gojo, it’s nearly eleven o’clock at night.” Yaga warned, “And the students are sleeping, so please quiet down.”
“If you’re here to chit-chat, I’m gonna have to decline.” Shoko sighed while putting out her cigarette in her ashtray. “I’m about to head to bed.”
“Don’t lie, we all know you have a shit sleep schedule.” Gojo teased. “And I’ve brought some guests. One of them is injured too, and I kinda need you to fix her up.”
Yaga frowned while Shoko raised an eyebrow. That was when Gojo motioned for the three villains to walk over to him. When they did, Shigaraki peered into the room curiously while Kurogiri walked behind him with Toga in his arms. Toga smiled and waved her free hand at the two. “Hello!”
“Gojo—“
“Now, now!” Gojo quickly interrupted Yaga, who was already getting into a defensive stance. “I know what you’re thinking, ‘Gojo, isn’t that a special grade curse?’ Well, to answer your question, no. At least I don’t think so. Look, I’ve gone over this with Ijichi already, but these guys aren’t exactly from our universe, and I did the math before, so I know it can happen. Anyways, they’ve also proven it with how their phones are and their abilities.”
“And you expect us to…believe you?” Shoko questioned while going to light another cigarette. She knew the previous one should’ve been her last, but with these events, she needed something to keep her calm.
“I wouldn’t lie to you or bring them to Jujutsu Tech if they were a threat.”
“You brought Sukuna’s vessel and Yuta Okkotsu to Jujutsu tech.” Yaga deadpanned.
“But those were different circumstances. Besides, they weren't people from different universes.”
“Can you at least explain why you think it’s not a special grade curse?”
“Oh right,” Gojo smiles, “Well, he’s got human organs for the most part.”
“Many special-grade curses can copy human organs, Gojo.”
“He raised me for fifteen years.” Shigaraki finally spoke up. “He’s human. He just looks like that because of his quirk, or as you would call it, “cursed technique.” He can’t cut it off or get rid of the mist. It’s just how he is.”
“Mmhm,” Toga grinned, “If anything, Kurogiri is the most polite out of the three of us.”
“Apologies, but it’s true. I can’t exactly get rid of the mist, and I can assure you I’m not a curse or whatever else you believe.” Kurogiri explained, “We ended up in this world because of a quirk accident with one of the smaller nomus in the doctor's lab.”
“Nomus?” Shoko asked while letting out a puff of smoke.
“They’re amalgamations of corpses that the doctor puts together and reanimates. He does this for certain… purposes.”
“There are low, mid, and high-end nomus.” Toga smiled while gently tapping Kurogiri’s chest again to set her down, which he obliged, but kept his arm out for her to hold onto. “The doctor mainly uses them to wear down and hurt Pro heroes.”
“Pro heroes?” Shoko asked while looking at Gojo, who shrugged. “From what I’ve gathered, their world is like an American comic book come to life. They have heroes, vigilantes, villains, and regular citizens.”
Yaga couldn’t help but rub his temples in response. “The higher-ups aren’t going to like this, you know.”
“Yeah, yeah. This isn’t my first time dealing with them.” Gojo gestured, “Now, do you think you could fix up Toga here? She’s kinda got some glass in her knee.”
Shoko couldn’t help but sigh and motioned for Toga to come over to a medical bed. Kurogiri helped walk her over and helped her sit down so Shoko could take a look at her knee. Yaga watched them for a moment before looking over at Shigaraki.
“Well then… what’s your cursed technique?”
“Decay. Whatever I touch with all five fingers disintegrates into dust.” Shigaraki then walked over and grabbed a piece of candy lying around before completely dusting it with his right hand. “The only things my quirk doesn’t work on are things made up of a bunch of particles like water, sand, and mist. Kurogiri is the only person I can touch with all five fingers without decaying because of his quirk or well, cursed technique.”
“Mist huh?” Shoko questioned while putting on gloves and grabbing a pair of tweezers to get the glass out of Toga’s knees. “You look more…night base than anything. Can you see in the dark with your eyes?”
“I can,” Kurogiri answered before forming a warpgate close to Shigaraki. “I can also create warp gates from short and long distances and make my body into a large warpgate.”
“You can also cut people’s limbs off if they don’t take their body parts out of your warp gates,” Shigaraki added while dropping the now-dusted candy wrapper in the warpgate.
“It’s similar to teleportation but on a more advanced level.” Gojo hummed as Shoko carefully started picking out the glass pieces.
“Gojo, do you plan on telling the higher-ups about them tomorrow?” Yaga asked while leaning against the wall. “And do you have any idea where they’re going to stay for the night?”
“Well, they’re going to stay here, of course.” Gojo grinned. “They can stay in the basement where Yuji stayed, so none of the students will freak out in the morning. As for the higher-ups…I’ll handle them. We might have to pay them a visit, which means I might need you or Mei Mei to watch my class for about thirty minutes.”
“So nothing new?” Shoko questioned while pulling the last piece of glass out of her knee and setting it on a tray nearby. She then cleaned Toga’s leg before using her reversed cursed technique to heal it.
“Haha, very funny. Look, I'm not late to see my class all the time.”
“Right…” Yaga scowled before watching Togs hop off the hospital bed. “Now that your friend is healed, I suggest you take them all to the basement, Gojo.”
“Alrighty! You three follow me.” Gojo waved again and motioned for them to follow him down the hallway, “For tonight, you’ll stay downstairs and away from the students until I can introduce you to them tomorrow. Are no hard feelings okay? I promise it’s comfy down here.”
With that being said, the three made their way out of the medical room and down a different corridor. It took a few minutes, but the group eventually made it down some steps and into a basement area with a couch, some blankets, and pillows, along with a TV.
“Think you guys can make do with all this? There are a ton of movies you can watch if you get bored, but personally, I’d recommend trying to fall asleep. Especially since you’ve all got a busy day tomorrow.”
“I think we’ll be fine,” Kurogiri said while cutting on the TV. “Thank you again.”
“No problem! Now I’ll be back in the morning with some breakfast, and we’ll probably have to see the higher-ups, so be ready.”
“Great…” Shigaraki muttered while Gojo put one of his hands up and made an odd hand gesture. “See you all tomorrow.” Just like that, the sorcerer was gone.
“Well, he seemed nice.” Toga smiled while looking through the piles of movies. Shigaraki just sighed and sat down on the couch. “Find something boring so we can fall asleep to it.”
“No way! I want to watch some vampire movies.”
Their bickering continued for a little while longer while Kurogiri set up places for them to sleep. He could tell that this was going to be a long night…
