Vegas chuckled when he stepped into the bathroom and saw the sight in front of him, leaning against the doorframe as he shook his head. Venice was standing next to Pete, standing on his step stool so that he could reach the mirror as well and Vegas laughed softly. It was morning, Pete was getting ready to start the day and Venice was of course doing the same. While Pete was shaving his facial hair, Venice decided to copy Pete and Vegas laughed softly.
Both of them had their hair tied up, more specifically they had their bangs tied up, exposing their foreheads so that they wouldn’t get their hair wet in the front while they were getting ready for the day. Pete kept his eyes on Venice when the other one was shaving as well. He had his face covered in shaving cream and was happily giggling as he was shaving with…
… the opposite side of the comb? Vegas clicked with his tongue and he couldn’t hold back his laughter as he watched those two. Pete glanced over to the side and smiled when he saw that Vegas was there as well and he sent him a little wink. Vegas didn’t approach them, he decided to watch them for a distance and he smiled as he glanced at Venice.
“What are you two doing?” asked Vegas and Pete grinned.
“Isn’t it obvious? Getting ready for the day,” said Pete and Vegas chuckled when he saw Venice nodding.
“Yes. Be ready,” said Venice.
“And you’re shaving too, Venice?” asked Vegas with amusement in his voice.
Venice glanced at him and he nodded.
“Yes. Venice can do it too,” said Venice proudly, mimicking the way that Pete showed him before how the shaving was supposed to work and Vegas glanced back at Pete and he sighed happily.
“I didn’t know you could grow a beard yet,” said Vegas and Venice gave him a serious look.
“Venice can, Venice can,” said Venice happily and Vegas laughed.
“Oh yeah?”
“In morning… was this long, dada,” said Venice and showed how long his imaginary beard was. Down to his knees. Vegas snorted and then he eyes Pete again, who was pretty much done with shaving already and was now washing up his face.
“It’s a good thing that Pete showed you the way then,” said Vegas and Venice nodded.
“Yes. Papa showed,” said Venice and Pete laughed after he dried up his face and he gently ruffled Venice’s hair. Venice leaned closer to the mirror and he squinted his eyes, trying to see if he had missed a spot everywhere, but to him it seemed like he did a pretty good job. He glanced up at Pete and he blinked a few times.
“Mmm?” asked Pete.
“Papa, Venice is done,” said Venice happily and Pete nodded, taking the comb away from him and washed up Venice’s face as well, Vegas helping him with drying it up and Venice then happily glanced at himself in the mirror, nodding. “Is good. Venice did good,” said Venice, now giving himself a pep talk and all that Vegas could do was laugh because indeed – Venice did a good job.
Venice took the job seriously!
“No, no, no, no!” argued Venice as Vegas was trying to get him to dress up, but Venice wasn’t giving up. He had a specific look in his head and he wasn’t backing down without getting it his way. Because it was only his way that he would look cool. “Dada. Venice will do it,” said Venice and Vegas sighed and decided to give up.
“What’s wrong with the clothes I picked?” asked Vegas and laughed. “Huh?”
“Not Venice’s idea,” said Venice and Vegas narrowed his eyes.
What was that? Was his son going to be a fashion icon one day? Vegas shuddered when he thought about that and he decided that Venice was spending way too much time with Tankhun, that had to be the only explanation for this. Venice had never fought back, not when it came to clothing and he shook his head, taking a step back.
“Fine, let’s see your idea,” said Vegas and allowed Venice to do as he pleased.
Venice came closer to his closet and started searching for the clothes that he wanted to wear that day. Since he had many clothes, he decided that pulling out all of them was his best bet. Then he would have a good look at all of the clothes. Ah, the only bad thing about that was going to be that he would have to tidy his room up. But that could wait.
First, he wanted to pick out a cool outfit!
Vegas’ eyes widened when he saw Venice pulling out all of his clothes, most of them falling onto the ground and he sighed, shaking his head.
“Pete won’t be happy about this,” whined Vegas.
“Venice has idea, shh, dada. No worry,” said Venice and Vegas rolled his eyes.
“Yes, yes, let’s see your idea,” said Vegas and Venice giggled happily as he started going through his clothes. Vegas was praying that Pete wasn’t going to show up in the room because he knew for a fact that Pete ended up cleaning around Venice’s closet just a few days ago and now everything was a mess again. Vegas was going to clean up after Venice, it was going to be fine.
Vegas was sitting there on the sofa and was frowning as he watched Venice… do whatever he was doing. Venice kept looking at him and then back at his clothes, picking out the ones that he wanted to wear, happily smiling when he finally found black trousers – the ones that matched Vegas’. And not too long after that, he ended up finding the red button up shirt that looked a lot like the one that Vegas was wearing at the moment.
Vegas narrowed his eyes when the boy stepped closer to him and showed him the clothes that he wanted to wear.
“This, dada!”
“Ah,” said Vegas and smiled. “Wanted to look like me?” asked Vegas and Venice nodded.
“Yes. Venice is cool like dada,” said Vegas happily and shook his head. All that Venice had to do was to tell that to Vegas – he would be more than happy to find him all of those, but well – it was what it was. Vegas quickly cleaned up the pile of clothes that Venice left on the floor, Venice helping him with folding all of them and afterwards Vegas helped Venice into those clothes.
Venice was beyond happy because he looked a lot like Vegas.
They already looked a lot alike, but now even more. As for a finishing touch, Vegas decided to wear a jacket and therefore he gave Venice to wear his jacket as well.
“We look so cool, don’t we?” asked Vegas as the two of them were standing in front of the mirror and Venice was in awe, happily nodding.
“Yes! Dada, look, look!”
“Mn.”
Venice looked up at Vegas and then he glanced at the mirror again and he narrowed his eyes. There was one thing missing. The hair, he wanted to have the same hairstyle like Vegas, who had his styled, parted in the middle and combed to the back a bit.
“Dada!”
“Yes?” asked Vegas and chuckled.
“Make Venice hair like this,” said Venice and pointed up at Vegas.
In the end Vegas ended up styling Venice’s hair like he had his own and Venice was happily jumping around the mansion, making sure that everyone saw how cool he looked. First, he showed his cool look off to Pete, then he ran over to Macau and Spiky, their hedgehog. But after Venice saw that all of them were impressed, he decided to show off his cool look to all of the bodyguards as well.
And,yes, everyone was impressed!
Venice was a proud, mini mafia boss!
“Porsche,” said Kinn, pinching the bridge of his nose as he was trying to calm down. He thought it would be a good idea if he and Porsche looked after Venice for a couple of hours while Pete and Vegas were taking care of the minor’s family business, but it seemed that it was a mistake. Because if Vegas saw what Porsche did to Venice, Vegas was going to kill them both.
Probably?
“Oh, would you stop worrying?” asked Porsche and rolled his eyes.
“We were supposed to be watching him not giving him a tattoo,” said Kinn and glanced down at Venice, who was proudly parading around with his tattoo. Now, he was just like his uncle Porsche, he got himself a tattoo. Yes, yes. A pretty phoenix one, just like his uncle had. It was much smaller, but still - Venice was proud and happy.
“It’s just a temporary one,” said Porsche and stepped past Kinn, who wasn’t too happy about this. Still. Even if it was a temporary tattoo - Vegas was protective of Venice and for once Kinn couldn’t really fight back since Venice was Vegas’ son. Kinn knew that he couldn’t win against that. “And look how happy he is,” said Porsche happily and went over to the boy. “You like the tattoo, right?” asked Porsche and Venice proudly nodded.
“Yes! Yes! Venice likes, Venice likes,” said Venice and tugged onto Porsche’s hand, jumping up and down. “Cool like uncle Porsche,” said Venice and Porsche started laughing. He leaned down and picked the boy up, smiling.
Porsche knew that Venice found his tattoo cool. He was heard saying that he wanted a cool tattoo as well, so when Porsche found out that he and Kinn would be looking after Venice that day, he went out and bought as many temporary tattoos that he could possibly find and he let the boy pick the ones that he liked the most.
Much to his surprise he picked out the tattoo with a phoenix. Just like Porsche - he was now cool as well!
Eventually, Kinn smiled and he crossed his arms on top of his chest. He glanced at the boy’s tattoo and he laughed softly. With the tattoo and Venice being dressed up all like Vegas, he truly looked like he belonged to the mafia. It was kind of cute, he had to agree. Was Vegas going to find it cute? Perhaps. Still, Kinn’s smile widened as he stepped closer.
“Looks cool,” finally said Kinn and Venice giggled.
“Yes!” said Venice and looked at his uncle Kinn. Now that Venice was older, he wasn’t afraid of his uncle Kinn anymore and he smiled happily. “Uncle, uncle,” chanted the boy and Kinn arched his brow.
“Yes?”
“Want tattoo too?” asked Venice and Porsche’s eyes lit up. Kinn could already see that the boy had ignited the idea and he rolled his eyes, looking over to Venice and even though he so badly wanted to say no and shake his head, he nodded. He knew that he would agree to it anyway.
“Sure, why not?”
Venice was happy. Perhaps he wasn’t afraid of Kinn anymore, but he knew that some people could still find him scary. Luckily for Kinn, Venice had a solution for this. When Porsche carried him back to the table, Venice climbed up the chair and then signed Kinn to come closer and he was happily smiling.
“You better pick out a really cool one for me,” said Kinn and Venice glanced at him.
“Venice pick cute,” said Venice and pushed the pink flower tattoo in front of Kinn. “Make uncle Kinn not scary, make uncle cute,” said Venice happily and Porsche was having the time of his life as he was sitting next to Kinn, laughing when the boy continued piling the tattoos that he liked the most in front of Kinn.
Cute, pretty and pink flowers.
Hearts. Pretty hearts.
And one pretty sun!
Venice was all set to go.
Kinn’s eyebrow was twitching as he glanced at Porsche, who winked.
“Come, uncle,” said Venice and signed Kinn to lean closer. Venice was about to place the tattoo onto Kinn’s face when Kinn quickly pulled back and shook his head.
“Hey, hey, where do you think you’re putting that?” asked Kinn suspiciously.
“Make face look cute,” explained Venice.
“Oh my God,” said Porsche and burst into even louder laughter. The kid was a freaking genius.
Kinn glared at Porsche and then he forced on a smile when he glanced at Venice.
“Uncle has important meetings in a few hours, he cannot go there with hearts and flowers on his face,” said Kinn and Venice cocked his head to the side.
“Why?”
“Because my face needs to be scary for this meeting,” said Kinn.
“Why?”
“That’s not true,” said Porsche and laughed again, leaning closer. “C’mon, Kinn, it’s for fun.”
Venice was thinking hard.
“Look, see, you can put them here,” said Kinn and folded his sleeves up. Venice pouted, but he decided to listen to Kinn.
“Fine, then you can put as many as you want on my face,” said Porsche and Kinn’s smile widened.
Venice was having a blast as he was putting on all of the tattoos, decorating his uncles. Venice liked Kinn and Porsche, they were fun. Porsche was cool and even though Kinn was a little bit boring, Venice was determined to make the uncle see that it wasn’t so bad to have fun!
And as it turned out Vegas didn’t mind the tattoos… too much.
“Apron?”
“Check,” said Venice happily.
“Spatula?” asked Vegas and Venice nodded again.
“Here, dada, here,” said Venice happily and Vegas gave him thumbs up.
Vegas and Venice were going to be cooking. Vegas was planning on cooking dinner for Pete, but then Venice followed him into the kitchen and expressed the wish to cook as well, just like Vegas, so Vegas decided to allow the boy to help him along.
“Alright,” said Vegas and Venice glanced at him. “Can you wash these?” asked Vegas, pointing to the vegetables that were in the bowl and Venice was more than happy to do just that. And while Venice was thoroughly washing the vegetables, Vegas made sure to chop them all up before they put them into a pan that he already had waiting on the stove. For now, Vegas had there only the non spicy vegetables, he was going to add the spicy ones later... according to the recipe.
Venice was having a lot of fun, cooking with Vegas was fun and he perked up, going onto his tiptoes even if he was on his step stool and he leaned closer.
Venice was curiously observing Vegas, getting a little bit bored as he couldn’t really do much besides watch, so he started snacking on the vegetables that were resting next to him while Vegas was reading the recipe. Vegas narrowed his eyes when he heard Venice eating and he put his phone down, his eyes wide when he saw Venice snacking on raw onion and he pressed his lips together.
“Ay, Venice, don’t eat that,” said Vegas and Venice cocked his head to the side.
“Why? Yummy,” said Venice and Vegas’ jaw dropped a bit.
“The raw onion?”
“Yes, Venice likes,” said Venice happily and Vegas blinked a few times and started laughing. “Why? Dada don’t like onion?”
“Isn’t it hot?”
“What?”
“It doesn’t hurt your tongue?” asked Vegas and Venice shook his head.
“No, no!”
Vegas arched his brow and glanced at the onion again. Perhaps it was a sweet onion? Vegas tried it himself, but he soon found out that it was, yes, just a regular onion. Not spicy , but definitely not something Vegas enjoyed eating and he wrinkled his nose.
“Blah,” said Vegas and Venice giggled.
Venice and Vegas continued cooking. It was by then that Pete came into the kitchen as well and found Vegas and Venice cooking. He chuckled as he saw them and he slowly walked closer. Vegas glanced over to Pete and he smiled.
“Ah, you’re here already,” said Vegas and Pete grinned.
“Something smelled nice,” said Pete and he glanced at Venice. “I see you got yourself a little helper,” said Pete and Venice looked at Pete.
“Dinner for papa,” said the boy and Pete smiled.
“Only for me?”
“Mn,” said Vegas and Pete pouted.
“You won’t eat with me?” asked Pete and Vegas shook his head. “Ah, you made it spicy?” asked Pete and Vegas shrugged.
“Yes,” said Vegas as his smile was getting wider.
Pete sat besides the two of them and watched how Venice and Vegas cooked. Venice helped Vegas stir the vegetables. Of course, Vegas made sure that Venice was safe as the two of them did that. Vegas sneezed when the fumes of the spices got into his nose. Venice leaned closer and he smacked his lips.
“Oh, Venice wanna try,” said Venice and Vegas shook his head. “Why no? Venice cooked!”
“It will make your tongue hurt,” said Vegas and Pete smiled.
“Let me try,” said Pete and leaned over the counter, allowing Vegas to spoon feed him the vegetables and he hummed along. It tasted good, Vegas had gotten good at cooking.
“Is it good?” asked Vegas and Pete nodded.
“Mn,” said Pete and Vegas looked proud of himself. “Might be a bit too spicy for you,” said Pete and Venice pouted.
“Venice want ice cream,” then announced the boy because if he wasn’t getting what he had just cooked then he was at least getting ice cream.
Pete and Vegas glanced at each other and gave him a nod.
“That could be arranged,” said Pete and Venice cheered up.
But first, Vegas and Venice needed to finish up with their cooking and Pete was having a lot of fun as he watched those two, Venice following Vegas around was the cutest thing.
