Chapter Text
"Hello?" Diego picks up.
There's a silent alarm Morgan has turned off as he works with wire cutters and a pin pad. Days ago, Morgan told his sister the grounds of the recent deal between Alex and him; tomorrow, Diego is supposed to call Alex.
"Morgan said you would call,"
He grins at his crew as he rights the pin pad back into place. "Let's go,"
Diego sighs. "Yeah, I was going to. I want you to understand this isn't a threat so much as a promise,"
Morgan's team enters the bank, Morgan following last; they begin to pilfer through the draws stuffing bills into a bag. Another group sets to put the change rolls into a box for easy carrying. (Hey, even rolls of change are money and valued, maybe not as high)
"And the promise is?"
Morgan is listening to the clicks as he turns the lock to the safe; in the background, his people are cleaning out the teller draws and taking anything that may be useful to the group later on.
"If you so much as make a move to hurt Morgan I'll break your heart and kill anyone you love,"
The safe opens, and the group enters the safe; one person stays outside as the lookout while the rest fill their bags, boxes, and pockets with money. Before long, Morgan has left the safe, and the rest of his crew follow. Nodding to the group, they slink out from where they came in, hopping into the moving van and driving off.
Tonight is a good night.
"Crystal," then after a pause. "Are you sure you're a hero? I think you'd make a damn good villain,"
