FADE IN:
EXT. CITY STREETS - 1 HOUR UNTIL SUNSET
Central City has become a staple of human-mobian relations. An environment safe for both forms of sentient life, and the place where some of the famed “HEROES OF MOBIUS” reside.
The calm city streets are traveled by the few remaining pedestrians, mobian and human alike. We see them smile as they then take extra careful hold of their belongings. A blue blur streaks along the streets before hopping up to the platforms and rails above made especially for this purpose.
THE BLUE BLUR
is shown to be none other than SONIC, a super speedy hedgehog and the world’s primary defense against EGGMAN related events and take-overs.
EGGMAN, aka DR. ROBOTNIK, is a self proclaimed genius whose motives for attacking the countries and nations of Mobius have been long forgotten or completely unknown.
A beep sounds from the gadget on Sonic’s wrist before TAILS’, a two-tailed fox prodigy, voice comes through.
TAILS
Sonic? ‘You there?
SONIC
Always am. What’s up?
A sigh of relief comes from the comms, despite what might’ve been Tails’ best attempt to cover it.
TAILS
Eggman has been spotted in Sunset Heights, not far from the Chaotix agency.
Sonic’s gaze sharpens. Of course he chose today. It was no secret that Eggman could, and would, attack the world and take time out of everyone’s day on Sonic’s birthday. It happened with the Time Eater, and it’s happening now. No day is sacred to that man, I swear to Chaos.
SONIC
On it!
A click sounded from the comms and a familiar female voice came through. AMY, a pink hedgehog and an absolute hammer-wielding machine, joined the call.
AMY
Coming in, Sonic. We just got word of other figures tearing up parts of the city. We’re sending KNUCKLES and the other Chaotix to take care of them.
KNUCKLES, the Guardian on the Master Emerald and the last of his kind.
Sonic snorts lightly.
SONIC
Gotcha! So help them out quickly if I run into them, that right?
With an affirmative hum from Amy, Tails jumps back in.
TAILS
Speaking of which! I was planning on giving a new gadget of mine a test run, but I think the front lines will have to do.
SONIC
I won’t be surprised if a laser comes outta nowhere on our way to Egg-breath. I’ll catch ya out there, Tails!
Tails hums in understanding.
TAILS
See you soon. Tails out!
AMY
I’ll be on call with Blaze and Silver if you need me. Stay safe out there, Sonic!
BLAZE is a flamethrowing cat princess from the Sol Dimension. Time there moves much slower than it does here, so she tends to spend as much of her free time here as she can.
And SILVER is a Time Traveler from the far future of 200 years with Psychokinesis.
Sonic rolls his eyes,off-handedly thinking that Amy worries too much.
SONIC
Okay, okay! I’ll be as careful as I can be.
Sonic goes to switch off the comms and he does so, but not before Amy’s voice comes through.
AMY
That’s not at all, Sonic!! That’s not very-
Sonic dashes down the street, out of Central City and towards Sunset Heights.
(end of animated cutscene)
[Radical Highway - Act 1]

(In level dialogue)
(Espio + Charmy)
ESPIO, a chameleon ninja who also works as a detective of the Chaotix Agency.
ESPIO
Sonic, I heard from Amy that you were going to be lending your assistance.
SONIC
Right on the money, Espio. How’s the monster-mash going?
ESPIO
There are many Badniks roaming the streets. Many unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, they aren’t sitting idly by
waiting for you to break them.
The voice of a certain CHARMY, a young bee detective working with Espio and VECTOR, a crocodile who is the lead detective . Together, the 3 of them make up the Chaotix Agency.
CHARMY
[yelling] And they’re going after the citizens we’re trying to evacuate!
SONIC
Wuh-oh, That’s never been on Eggheads list of ‘priorities’ before.
ESPIO
That’s exactly why we’re worried about this situation.
SONIC
Well, I’m on my way. I’ll be there ASAP!
ESPIO
Understood, I look forward to seeing you.
CHARMY
CYA SONIC!
[Radio Offline]
[Radical Highway - Act 2]
[Goal : Get to the end]
[extra mission : clear the road for evacuating citizens]
(In level dialogue)
(Vector + Knuckles)
SONIC
Hey Knuckles, Vector. You two there?
KNUCKLES
In the middle of a robot punch-out right now, Sonic!
[not gonna worry about writing this rn]
[Radio Offline]
[Radical Highway - Act 3]
[Goal : Get to the end]
[Extra mission : clear the road of robots]
SONIC
Okay, I'm in Sunset City!
CHARMY
Great timing, Sonic!
ESPIO
We just got word from Vector and Knuckles that a large robot touched down in the city square.
[Knuckles Joins the call]
KNUCKLES
Yes, and we may be in need of your assistance.
SONIC
I'm not too far from there. Be there soon, Knux
KNUCKLES
Good. See you soon.
[Radio Offline]
(Knuckles and Vector arrive)
(Mid level miniboss, not too hard. Made to be able to get accustomed to a Strength Character’s moveset)
Sonic comes in at the ‘perfect time’ to attack what seems to be the weak point but it doesn’t do much
SONIC
Woah! Eggman fitting his robots with stronger weak points? Not good.
KNUCKLES
Hmph! I guess it’ll be up to us then.
VECTOR
SWEET! Just like old times! (ref to Knuckles Chaotix)
(Army of Egg pawns appear)
SONIC
Sounds good, you two! I’ll take care of the little buggers then!
[Choose between Knuckles or Vector to fight as]
(Sonic fight in the background [ig you might be able to see him while you fight])
(When the fight’s over)
VECTOR
Thanks for the help, Sonic.
SONIC
No prob! Now, I’ve got some eggs to scramble. Cya after!
KNUCKLES
Don’t get too cocky out there!
[Sonic runs off]
[Continue act 3]
[Final boss]
[Eggman]
(There’s a whole Eggman fight, meant to wear Sonic out)
(animated cutscene)
Sonic is sent flying by an unseen opponent
Avatar is pointing people in the direction of the evacuation efforts.
Sees smoke and general debris and runs towards it
Runs into Tails (who gives them a wispon)
Gets to the place and see Sonic struggling against Infinite
Gadget helps the nearby civilians and points them towards the evacuation efforts of Espio and Charmy.
Tails jumps in to fight Infinite
(First Infinite fight, not meant to beat him, just survive the time limit. plus, learn how to use a flight character)
Tails gets swatted away into a ledge, getting injured in the process.
Gadget just finished with the evac.
He runs over to Tails when he looks back to Infinite and sees him carrying Sonic off with him.
Gadget tries to shoot at Infinite but his aim is lackluster at best and he misses.
GADGET
No! Damn it.!
TAILS (injured)

Chapter 2: Authors Note
Summary:
A happy holidays and new years everyone!
Just a quick thing i'm announcing here, as it applies to this project of mine!

I started working on this project back in July of this year. The idea was to rewrite Sonic Forces, but quickly turned into "What interesting little things did i wish were in Forces but were not" and put them in said Forces rewrite.
Because of this additional goal when it came to what i wanted in the story, i landed on doing it in a screenplay format which would allow me to throw in my notes on the extra stuff, (for example, the Avatar Creation bit. There are some extra stuff, like more organised Mobian "species/races", different abilities and differences with each species/race, etc. i thought about that stuff for way too long, trust me)
Also, i was watching Sonic Destruction at the time and thought i could handle the format
Anyways..
i became, well, a little overwhelmed by the idea of having to stick to that format, as i wanted to do it justice. But doing the format and making a story i felt did what Forces could not AND still feel like it would be a good game made me procrastinate on an idea i really, truly cared for.
So, due to my personal dissatisfaction with how i wrote the prologue, i am going to be discontinuing the screenplay format. I am currently working on the prologue chapter in my normal writing style, as well as making a more in-depth explanation of what i plan to get out of this story.
Explaining.. is gonna be difficult.
From the start, i've known that it was going to use the Speed, Strength, and Flight categories of characters like in Sonic Heroes (not the 3 characters at once thing though, not on a "main story" stage. If it were to make an appearance anywhere, it would be with/as random foot soldiers as a side quest, of sorts. Or Chaotix. Maybe both-) and that i was going to be using the "Zone : Act" thing from the 2d titles in the franchise, as it was seen in the released prologue chapter.
The Prologue would act as a tutorial, allowing for a fight as each type, Speed, Strength, and Flight. But anyone who has read the first chapter would know that at this point.
From there on, and i didn't actually write this down until recently, there would be more segments.
I feel like "segments" is the wrong word but i was planning on explaining the structure anyways!
My original plan was for there to be 6 or 9 "Zones", so to speak. Each with 3 "acts".
Looking back on that plan, it would work for a written form but would make for a very short game, about as long as one of the 2d titles. There will probably be more than 6-9 'zones' but i, honestly, don't know at this point. It's gonna be on a "lengthen as needed" basis for now.
And so, i was planning certain plot points to happen at certain points, spacing them out on an imaginary line cut into the numbered 'zone' sections. So this point would happen at the end of zone 3, that thing would be.. about 1 zone and 2 acts later. That sorta thing
I'm now creating a doc so i can plan my zones and acts a bit more thoroughly, and probably a separate doc to plan out character arcs. No use going into this project without a more stable plan.
On that note, i need an opinion.
For this story, would you, the readers, want this to be more similar to the kind of stuff Sega would put in a game, or more fanon aligned? I would love to make 2 different versions, one that you could see being an actual game, and the other be with my own personal tastes, like Sonadow or other non-canon ships.
But, i know that if i wrote both at the same time, i'd easily mix up events, things said, or i'd just get overwhelmed.

Anyways, that's all i have planned to tell. I'm open to suggestion for certain additions, fixes, or ideas!
I know a lot of people have a lot of ideas, especially when it comes to what Forces would've done better or differently. Consider this a free chance to cash in any of those ideas you'd like to see written. Ofc, it's not guaranteed to be used, but i'd find it cool for this story to be one made by stitching together peoples ideas!
On that note, that's the end of this announcement chapter.
The rewrite will be continued as a different work in the same series.
