The rebirth of the Enforcer's Assistant

Summary:

Rinzler was gifted the unconscious body of Argon's Renegade to get his own specialized assistant. While thinking about what to program into the young program, Rinzler finds himself exalted at having something to call "his".

AKA: I was writing some BeckZler, but it was turning so soft my brain decided to produce this dark AU of an AU

Notes:

Well, this wasn't what i was planning/hoping to finish first... (God I have so many WIPs). So, I was trying to redo some of my fics for the AU Aero-I created, because I had took the effect of Beck's repurposing to be much more severe than they were.

But then, my Dark Brain (currently, the Beckzler fics are fighting a monster AU of batman, a next gen Avengers universe and some Among Us x Arthurian legend AU, plus some horror stories begging to be written. My writing goes from crack to dark on a whim, we're in a "want to write horror or Superheroes" period, folks) decided to take all the feral!Beck I suppressed and to shove them on Rinzler. And here came that fic, that took less than an afternoon to write, so...

Hope you guys enjoy?

Work Text:

Rinzler was looking at the program laying on the table.

The renegade, but he won't be for much longer, now he is his, hisHISHISHISHIS

Assessing the looks of the soldier, poking the muscles, examining the scars and grabbing the face

His face for some reason reminds him of a mechanic program. Rinzler doesn’t remember having ever met one.

of the unconscious program, Rinzler thinks he would make a decent enough assistant.

He wasn’t certain what to think of when the luminary told him He had a gift for his enforcer. But now, he was feeling like he would never let the program go.

Letting the program’s head hit the cold surface he was resting on, Rinzler turns to the machine that will allow him to repurpose the false Tron.

Tron is deaddeaddead, and the ones who bought into this lie are idiots.

Rinzler is surprised by the level of control C.L.U. has managed to create.

Everything about the program will be his, and he is feeling powerful, like when he turned all his opponents into voxels.

He even has the possibility to give the program a new name?

Beck. He has a Beck face. No. His propriety deserves a more grandiose name than Beck.Something that reminds him of youth… Sam? What a strange idea. Even worse than Beck.

Why has his Master decided that to let the renegade lives, Rinzler does not know. Maybe it is a gift for the crushing of the rebellion in Argos.

He will make the program a superior version of himself, one that will hurt the uprising with his fists and his words.

Of course, he will need to erase all emotional ties and make his assistant ready to die for C.L.U.

And more importantly, the program will never think of disagreeing with him. Hishishishishishis

He can imagine it. They wouldn’t need to talk to work together, hunting the rebels like the weak things they are. It would take less than a micro-cycles to destroy pockets of resistance.

Rinzler and his fist would be able to please the Luminary so much.

And then the program would go to the bars, find love, friends, have his own life...

NonononoNONONO. HIS. HIS!! Program wouldn’t care about having no one but the enforcer if the enforcer wished it so.

Running on all four like he does when he gets emotional,

He is a failure, and he will please C.L.U. by making a perfect replacement.

Rinzler rip the identity disk and look at who the program cares about.

Who might dare to try to take away... Yori? No. He thinks Yori belongs to a different program. A different type of love.

A strange man with hideous scars appears.

The renegade suit is based on that man, and he hates it. He shall only wear a suit modeled after Rinzler. His mark, his to COMMAND, his to PROTECT, his to BE LOVED BY

And then other programs. Mechanics, it would seem.

They don’t seem to know who the renegade was, and that pleases him. They shall never see his second-in-command true face ever again.

Commandant Paige? A note to confront her about it later is created.

He won’t let her take the program away from him.

He was trying to convince her to desert, and she refused. She was trying to convince him of C.L.U’s regime superiority. She failed miserably, it would appear.

Maybe he will allow her to see him, to punish her with what she can never have again.

Getting bored, he looks at the fighting abilities of the renegade.

Cyrus? Cyrus would make a good regime soldier’s name, but he almost snaps the disk in unexplained anger.

Now that he doesn’t care about how to defeat him without derezzing him, Rinzler can tell their fighting styles are similar enough for no additional training to be required.

It’s almost like the program was meant to be his to teach. He purrs at the thought. He shall train his to imitate it, to show how unified they are as hunters.

Running on all four, his joint twisted in a less humanoid shape than what is acceptable for a program, he rejoins the computer and types the modifications he thought of.

The idea of connecting the respect the renegade had towards his teacher with respect to Rinzler surprised him. But what a good way of claiming himself as the superior teacher.

Suddenly, the perfect name strikes him.

Rinchild. His, his, HIS RINCHILD.

And he would make him unable to feel pain.

To protect him from C.L.U.’s punishments. Rinchild’s fear of disappointing Rinzler should suffice but he wouldn’t risk anything.

Rinzler is baffled to see that an internal knowledge of the hierarchy in the occupation is an option to download rather than included from the get-go.

However, given the fact that Dyson might be the one to have written it, Rinzler will have to teach Rinchild himself, even if his throat always hurts after a few words. He doesn’t mind. Better that Rinchild learns the interpersonal dynamics as an extension of Rinzler than as a common black guard.

Typing the new name of his precious Rinchild, Rinzler wonders about what kind of story he will grant him. It seems most repurposed sentries don’t remember a thing, but something tells him he wants his to remember.

Make sure that Rinchild considers that he abandoned the rebellion of his own choice.

Now, Rinchild will remember he joined Rinzler a few cycles ago, realizing just how superior and perfect the Luminary’s regime was

Just how perfect and superior Rinzler’s teachings would be

While he is typing that story, Rinzler gives some additional meetings with key figures of the regime to Rinchild.

That way, his protegee will already know that only Rinzler and C.L.U.'s opinions matter.

And Rinzler gifts Rinchild his new personality matrix.

Harsh, cruel, loyal, focused, obedient, all that Rinzler wants him to be

When the machine stops his wonders, Rinzler is there, brushing Rinchild’s soft hair before it gets stuck under a helmet for a few decacycles at least.

He wants to see the eyes opening already, filled with respect and adoration, the same he receives from the masses in the game, but coming from someone he cares about.

When Rinchild wakes and feels one of his mentor’s disks against his throat, he doesn’t panic or laugh. He simply accepts that his life is in Rinzler’s hands.

He is perfect.

Rinzler locks his disk behind his back and sends the details of their new mission through the link he created with Rinchild.

C.L.U. truly has the most magnificent gifts.

Notes:

Hopefully, the actual continuation of "A matching set" I'm doing won't take too much time to be finished, but the Avengers fic is like a siren call....

Don't worry, I have many ideas for universes where Beck is a tiny-Rinzler, but he is a much better boss/dad in the others. No obsession there, nooooo sir.
