Chapter 1
Notes:
Okay in case you didn't read the tags or it wasn't clear, Thornhill was not the villain. I actually liked her character and it came as a shock to me that she was the villain. So instead kinbott was the real culprit. Not that it matters though cause this story has nothing to do with the real plot anyway.
And warning, this story contains rape so don't read of you're uncomfortable.

Chapter Text
It was 9:48pm. Curfew was at 10 and yet Enid was not yet in their dorm room. Wednesday didn't know where she was. Enid wouldn't go for a sleepover without telling her.
Not that she'd be interested but Enid always blabs about whatever and I mean whatever she was doing to Wednesday.
In fact, Wednesday hadn't seen Enid since that afternoon.
Where are you? Miss smiles-a-lot would soon be checking in on us and I'm not going to cover for your ass.
Miss smiles-a-lot a nickname for Thornhill who was now the principal after Kinbott killed Weems.
Even if she was the principal, she still took it upon herself on checking in on her students after all she was their dorm mom first.
Wednesday texted her on the phone Enid had gifted her on her birthday. She rarely used it though because she was not going to be a slave to technology.
After a while, there was no reply.
Wednesday was NOT worried. Just a bit frustrated. If Enid wanted to stay the night in the woods she could have told her instead of making her ponder on her whereabouts.
The thought that she may be in danger did cross Wednesday's mind. She brushed it off. Enid was a werewolf. She would be able to take care of herself out in the woods.
If Wednesday was to go into the woods to look for Enid, she'd be the one in danger. Plus there was the chance that she was just having a sleepover with Yoko.
"I'm not worried." Wednesday snapped at thing.
Thing doesn't seem too convinced.
"I'm not going to look for her." Wednesday said sharply.
Thing made some frantic movements.
"She can take care of herself. Plus I bet she's with Yoko." Wednesday said.
Thing made some movements again.
"Fine. When Thornhill gets here we'll know if Enid is in danger or not." Wednesday said.
Ophelia hall. It was one of the last halls at the last floor. One of the reasons Wednesday liked it was because of how far away it was from other dorm rooms.
Surely before Thornhill can get to their dorm room, she'd first check all other dorms before them. And so if Enid was having a sleepover with Yoko, Thornhill would know after checking on Yoko.
And so Wednesday was waiting, passing time by reading one of her many serial killer diaries.
The door of the room opened and Thornhill emerged from the shadows.
"Oh, you're not asleep yet." Thornhill stated.
"There is no peace for the wicked." Wednesday quipped.
Thornhill kept her warm smile on her face and sighed lightly. She would never not be amazed by Wednesday.
"Where's Enid?" Thornhill asked.
"I believed she is bunking with Yoko, having some time of merriment." Wednesday said.
"Well she's not in Yoko's room. I should know I just came from there. She isn't in any of the dorms." Thornhill said.
That got Wednesday's attention and she finally left the book she was reading. She looked at Thornhill for some sort of explanation.
"She isn't one to break curfews or any of the rules......" Thornhill muttered to herself. "I should call her.
Thornhill tried calling Enid and Wednesday waited in anticipation hoping that maybe Enid would pick up.
......there was no answer.
"She's not answering her phone. That's so unlike her." Thornhill said uneasy.
"She may be in danger. We have to go look for her. Now!" Wednesday demanded, a feeling of dread in the pits of her stomach.
"Uh......yes.....tha...that's right. I'll... I'll see what I can do." Thornhill said anxiously and adjusted her glasses, a bit taken by surprise by Wednesday's command.
Thornhill left immediately after.
"Thing, let's go." Wednesday commanded leaving the dorm and thing followed suit.
Meanwhile, Thornhill had made an announcement through the speakers that Enid was missing and anyone who could, should help in finding her.
The message caught one person's interest in particular and that was Ajax. Ajax had a not so secret crush on Enid and anyone who saw them would know.
Ajax had just one place in mind to search, the woods. If anyone was missing, it was usually in said woods.
So he wore his denim jacket and got a flashlight and went into the woods.
The snakes on his head may be useless but they were useful for one well two thing. Snakes could taste air. It's like a dog sniffing out someone's scent except instead they use their tongue.
And Ajax had a connection to the snakes. So he had one of them try to sniff er taste out Enid's whereabouts.
Ajax was running and the taste was getting heavier and heavier until finally he saw her laying on the dirt, naked.
It was like the time she wolfed out except this time, she was covered in bruises. Some of them were teeth marks and choke marks.
There was dry blood in between her legs. Ajax didn't want to think of the possibilities of what happened. Instead, he squatted next to her and gently lifted her upper body up.
She was unconscious and he took off his denim jacket and covered her with it. It wasn't much but at least it covered what needed to be covered.
Carrying her in bridal style, he started running back to the dorms. On the way he ran into Wednesday.
"Enid?" Wednesday asked horrified.
"We need to get her to the infirmary. Now." Ajax said as he started running again leaving Wednesday to drown in a wave of fury.
Notes:
I'm so sorry Enid. I didn't want to do this to you. Please forgive me.
Anyway, there are some (slight) changes I made. But I didn't make most of the things up. Trust me. Well this chapter was short but that's just cause I'm starting.
From next chapter, it's gonna be long.
Chapter 2
Notes:
Oh my God over 500 hits already??? And over 50 kudos. Thank you guys so much.
I know schools usually have infirmaries for injured students but nevermore is not an ordinary school. So I'd like to think that nevermore has its own hospital for outcasts right in the school grounds.

Chapter Text
Ajax and Wednesday were in the reception. It was almost midnight and as such, there were less people around. Just the way Wednesday liked it.
Enid had been taken to the emergency room. The nurses had said that her wounds were severe and needed stitching that is after getting rid of any possibility of an infection.
Thornhill had gone with one of the nurses as Enid's guardian and had to fill out a lot of paperworks leaving only Wednesday standing and Ajax sitting at the reception.
Nothing had been confirmed yet but any idiot can put two and two together. Hickey, choke marks, bruises, being found naked in the woods, it was obvious. Enid had been raped.
The question now was by who and why.
"I hope Enid's okay." Ajax said.
"Funny you should say that." Wednesday said in a deadly tone giving him a look of incrimination.
"What do you mean by that?" Ajax asked confused.
"What were you doing in the woods?" Wednesday asked, her voice dripping of venom.
"Whoa, yo- you don't think that I did it do you?" Ajax asked surprised
"I do find it awfully convenient that as soon as Enid was announced missing, you came running out of the woods with her." Wednesday stated.
"I found her okay, besides if I did do it why would I bring her?" Ajax asked.
"To remove yourself from the list of suspects." Wednesday said.
"Well I did not do this okay?" Ajax said a bit exasperated.
"There's only one way to prove that. Why were you in the woods? I knew Enid was missing even before Thornhill announced it. And yet somehow, you were able to find her before I did. That's awfully suspicious." Wednesday said.
"Look snakes can taste air sort of how dogs sniffs air. I thought that maybe she would be in the woods. So I tracked her by having one of my snakes taste her out okay?" Ajax said annoyed by Wednesday's accusation.
"Do you honestly think that I'd believe you just thought to check in the woods just like—"
"I DIDN'T DO IT OKAY!?" Ajax yelled angrily cutting her off taking Wednesday a bit by surprise.
"I......." Ajax sighed softly trying to calm himself from his previous outburst.
"I would never hurt Enid okay?" Ajax said softly as his expression also softened.
Then it clicked in Wednesday's head.
"You love her." Wednesday said curtly.
"I like her. Yes and that's why I wanna catch the bastard who did this and make them pay." Ajax said fire burning in his eyes his body was trembling with anger.
Wednesday studied him for a split second.
"Well then, what do you say you and I form an alliance? We'll catch the bastard and we'll pay him back in kind." Wednesday said.
"What do you mean by that? What are you going to him when we find him?" Ajax asked.
"It doesn't concern you. Let's just catch him first." Wednesday said.
"On one condition." Ajax said.
"Which is?" Wednesday asked.
"When we catch the bastard,......... you gotta let me draw some blood." Ajax said.
Wednesday's face went from almost surprised to almost impressed. Her lips morphed into a small wicked grin.
"Deal."
There was a reason Wednesday offered an alliance to Ajax. After he had proved her wrong not with his sappy speech about his feelings for Enid, but by his expressions.
The anger in his tone and eyes were what convinced Wednesday. The way he shook with anger, his voice which dripped in venom deadlier than that of Nero, that was what allured Wednesday. Anger equals determination and Wednesday knew that.
Thornhill came back minutes later and Wednesday and Ajax went to meet with her in the centre of the reception.
"What is the situation?" Wednesday asked while Ajax was paying keen attention.
"Well she was injected with wolfsbane and so that's slowing down her healing process. Her wounds have been sterilised and she's stable now. But because of the wolfsbane in her blood stream, she won't be conscious for a while." Thornhill explained.
"Wolfsbane. It means that whoever did this knows that she's a werewolf." Wednesday said
"Can we go see her?" Ajax asked.
"I suppose." Thornhill said as she led Ajax and Wednesday to Enid's room.
Thornhill opened the door to Enid's private ward. She looked better now that she was clean, her hair wasn't a mess anymore and above all she was clothed.
"I'll give you guys some privacy." Thornhill said as she exited the room.
Wednesday stood at the door side looking emotionless while Ajax stalked towards Enid.
"Enid." His voice was soft but his expression was a mixture of sadness and anger.
He tried caressing his face but stopped himself halfway deciding it was not the right thing to do.
"Give us a minute." Wednesday said. It wasn't a request.
"Sure." Ajax answered stoically as he also exited the room.
Wednesday prowled to the side of Enid's bed sitting on the stool there.
Thing came out of her bag and crawled on the bed until he found his way to Enid's right hand wrapping it in a comforting hold.
Wednesday felt a pang of guilt hit her chest for some reason.
"Enid, I promise you I'm going to find the person who did this to you and I'll make him pay. It will be long, slow and excruciatingly painful." Wednesday vowed.
Thing slowly tapped Wednesday's hand in a supportive manner.
Thornhill came in moments later.
"Okay it's time to go. You got school in the morning remember?" Thornhill said.
"I'm staying here." Wednesday said in a tone that left no room for discussion.
"Wednesday she would be fine. This is a hospital. Nothing bad is gonna happen to her here. You don't need to worry." Thornhill reassured.
"Mayor Walker was killed in a hospital. I'm not leaving Enid by herself. Not again." Wednesday said nothing but determination in her tone.
Thornhill knew that the only way she'd be able to move Wednesday from that spot would be to cripple her and carry her out.
It was either that or let her stay. And Thornhill was going to choose the easier option.
"I think you're very sweet for wanting to protect your friend. You can stay but make sure to get some sleep okay? And take care of Enid for me." Thornhill instructed.
Wednesday didn't even bother to correct t Thornhill's delusion about her being sweet.
Thornhill exited the room and Wednesday was once again focused on Enid.
Wednesday touched Enid's hand and a blurry vision hit her. Just like when she newly got her psychic powers. Nothing was clear but she could hear Enid scream and try to fight her molester. She couldn't see his face. It ended as soon as it began.
The vision was like a fuel that was added to Wednesday already burning anger.
"Im going to find him and I will kill him. I swear on Nero's soul."
Notes:
Yeah so when I said the next chapter would be long....... I lied. I'm sorry.
So I like to believe that Ajax isn't as stupid and giddy as he appears. Cause remember episode one when he was warning Enid about Wednesday eating g human flesh, be didn't seem disgusted or scared but he looked fascinated.
Then that scene where those normals sprinkled paint but everyone thought it was blood at first? He and Wednesday were the only ones who didn't panic and run.
So yeah I believe he has a dark side and my mission is to reveal that side of him.
Welcome to the dark side💀☠👿
