“Do you think they’ll like pretzels or chips, should I get the snickers bars?” Ted asked from the kitchen of their apartment.
“Just bring all the snacks Ted, I know I get the munchies, I’m sure the Princesses will be fine with anything.” Bill said as he dragged bean bag chairs and blankets to their living room.
They had talked about building a blanket fort earlier but decided it would be too crowded and that a cozy sorta circle would be most excellent.
This isn’t the first time they smoked with the babes but it was something they’ve been planning for a while, it felt like something special. All four of them had been having the most heinous week and getting to unwind together was definitely needed.
Bill set a bean bag at each side of the coach, throwing the blankets onto it. He stepped back to admire his work. A gentle smile crossed his lips, it was incredibly basic and warm and familiar, he thought about getting lit and cuddling up with the best people in his world.
Ted carefully stepped into the living room, arms full of snacks, probably too many to carry.
“Where should I put these, dude?” They asked, given they moved the coffee table out of the way.
“Just over there is good.” Bill pointed to one of the bean bags
Ted quickly dropped the pile of junk food next to it. He went to stand with Bill and look over the set up with him.
“It looks outstanding, Bill.” He looked at him with that soft doughy look in his eyes that always melted his heart.
Bill couldn’t help but meet their eyes before bringing their lips together quickly. The two of them laughed into each other's mouths.
“Can you grab the games, dude? I’ll get our bong and the water.” Bill siad
“Sure, dude.” Ted replied with a smile. He turned on his heel and looked for where they put the card and board games.
Bill goes to their bedroom. From under Ted’s bed he fished out the glass bong they shared. Ted had it covered in stickers of smiley faces, lighting bolts, hang tens and pizza slices. Bill chuckled at the childish, dorky display. It took him a bit longer to find the plastic bag of cannabis they stashed. He brought them to the living room.
Monopoly, Go Fish, Candyland, and a normal pack of cards lied in the sorta middle of the sorta circle.
Bill smiled seeing Ted lazily sprawled out on the couch. He set the bong and the baggie before going to the kitchen to grab a few bottles of water.
A knock on the door made Ted jerk from the coach. They excitedly went to greet the Princesses.
“Hey babes!” He said opening the door
“Hey Ted.” Elizabeth said placing a kiss on his lips
“Hey, dudes.” Joanna said slipping pass them
“Welcome babes, make yourselves at home.” Bill greeted
“Oh, this looks lovely.” Jo said going to him and kissing him on the cheek
Bill hugged her in response.
She leaned her skateboard on one of the bean bags and sat down. Ted and Liz sat down on the coach, talking about some of the albums she had started listening to. Bill kneeled down on the floor prepping their bong.
“Who wants the first rip?” He asks, pulling a lighter from his pocket.
“Me!” Elizabeth exclaimed excitedly.
He handed her the bong and lighter. Liz sucked in a long hard breath. She coughed a little before blowing the smoke into the open air.
“Righteous.” She exhaled, passing it to Ted.
They put their lips to it and inhaled a steady breath, holding it in for a second before releasing it, then passed it to Bill. He took in a longer breath and passed to Jo. She was hesitant but tried a slow inhale before going into a coughing fit and quickly handing the bong back to Elizabeth. Her second inhale was better than her first.
“Nice rip.” Bill and Ted laughed in unison.
Ted took his second hit before passing back to Bill and took his before handing it to Joanna.
“Maybe later, hacking it back up is bogus.” She said shaking her head
“Most definitely.” Liz agreed, gesturing for the bong.
She took her third hit, Ted took theirs, Bill took his. Liz took her forth, Ted took his, Bill took his and Joanna tried her second doing much better than her first. They went around once more and set the bong aside.
“Wanna play Go Fish?” Ted asked the room.
The game started out civil before devolving into chaos. Everyone had been making stupid jokes. The Princesses started a cuss fight between sisters. Ted kept laughing so hard they couldn’t breathe. Bill had to keep Ted from falling out of his chair whilst also laughing nearly hysterically.
After a game of monopoly the four of them sat on the coach, passing snacks around. Bill leaned on an arm rest, Ted at his side, Elizabeth at theirs, Joanna at hers. Liz opened the bag of pretzels, eating a few before handing it to Ted. He ate a couple, giving the bag to Bill. He took a handful and gave the bag to Jo. She had some, passing it to her sister. Liz held it as everyone was taking pretzels before the rest of the bag ended up with Bill. Joanna reached for the snickers bars. She took one for herself and glanced over to see Bill gesturing for one. She giggled, tossing him one. Ted opened a pepsi and took a swig, handing it to Liz, who took a sip. Joanna opened the potato chips, sharing them with her sister.
“You babes having a good time?” Ted quietly asked out of nowhere
“Of course!” Jo answered
“Yeah, dude.” Elizabeth said “Thanks for inviting us, we never had this much fun back home.”
“You’re most excellently welcome, princesses.” Bill said with a mouth full of pretzel.
“I’m glad you guys are here.” Ted said softly, a tender smile on his lips.
The girls smiled back.
“That means you too.” They turned their head to face Bill
“I know, dude.” He said dropping the empty pretzel bag on the ground. “I love you, my most resplendent boyfriend.” He pressed their lips together.
Ted brought a hand to Bill’s cheek as they kissed. Liz giggled and kissed Ted on the cheek.
“Love you, too” she whispered
Jo brought her hand to Bill’s and their fingers locked, bringing the four of them into a warm hug. Bill, Ted and Elizabeth broke apart, settling into the group hug. Joanna leaned up and kissed Elizabeth’s forehead. Liz laughed, wrapping an arm around her sister. Bill squeezed Jo’s hand, she looked over to him. He smiled and moved his hand to rub his thumb over her knuckles.
“Love you, babe.” He said
Jo felt she couldn’t smile brighter. She let go of Bill’s hand to pick up a blanket and brought it up to cover the four of them.
Ted brought their head to Bill’s chest, breathing in his scent and the moment. He took Elizabeth’s hand, they glanced at each other.
“I love you too.” He whispered, closing his eyes.
Liz hummed and brought her sister close, snuggling up with her.
They all eventually dozed off in the company of each other.
