Red hair fell into the sink and with every snip a weight was lifted off his shoulders.

 

He has waited for so long to do this and he finally found the courage to.

 

Ron Weasley cut his long hair. 

 

It was November 31st and he was as powerful as can be.

 

Ron can’t fight the urge to cry as his mother smacks him in the face when she sees what he had done in the morning.

 

Tomorrow was the day. Tomorrow was the day he would come out to his family and friends.

 

“My baby girl, why?!” Molly wails.

 

He sets out the clothes he will wear tomorrow. Old clothes from Fred and George’s closet he snatched when no-one was looking. They won’t notice.

 

It’s September 1st and Ruby is pushing her trolley towards the empty compartment in the back of the train. Why did she do this? Jeers and taunts are thrown her way. Her mum was right. It was just a phase.

 

Ron grins to himself. This is so freeing.

 

His parents sent him a letter on September 2nd 1993 stating that he was officially disowned. He doesn’t know where he will go now in the summer.

 

Ron Weasley goes to bed.

 

He doesn’t know what his future entails yet.
