Work Text:
I hate this job with every fiber of my being.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." the customer on the other side of the counter was taking his sweet time deciding what he wanted to order. The selection wasn't that diverse, you Patrick Star looking motherfucker, pick one already! Anything!
"May I suggest a simple bagel and a cup of coffee?" I forced through gritted teeth with a smile, digging my nails into the fabric of my jeans.
"Sure!" He replied happily, final-fucking-ly!
He dug a wallet out of his pocket, the line behind him had almost reached the entrance to the café, but such were the evening hours as well as the morning ones. Thankfully, I was on the dayshift, I can't imagine how tough it'd be working all night long. You could kiss your mental health goodbye if that was your case.
"W- never mind . "
"Huh? What was that?" The customer asked, holding out a twenty dollar bill.
"Nothing," I was about to ask him if he wanted anything else, the action was natural to me, but I knew better than that with people like him, "Are you sitting here, or would you like me to pack it for you?"
"Pack it, please," at least he was polite, so I could tolerate his goofy ahh behavior.
I went over to the coffee machine and took the hot carton cup with steam coming out of it, bringing it back to the counter. Then, I took a simple bagel from behind a viewing glass for the customers, its temperature was kept at the golden point between "Ow! My tongue!" and "This shit's colder that ice!"
Packing the bagel into a paper bag, I breathed out a sigh, "That's gonna be three dollars, sir."
"Here," he handed over a twenty, I opened the register and gave him the appropriate change. He quickly thanked me before moving out of line, leaving the store to go on his life and whatnot.
Yup, that was my job; customer arrives, customer orders, I give them the desired food and or drink, they pay, they leave, best case I get tipped, and the whole process repeats itself over and over and over again until the last day of my life...
Not really. Most people change jobs once they've saved up enough money, or get promoted if they're super lucky. Though... there are other options, not necessarily illegal, just a bit riskier.
And so, I went on as usual. It was so monotonous and repetitive that I zoned out and my body worked on auto-pilot, brain included. It was as if I wasn't there- no, I have a better explanation; I was aware that I zoned out, but I didn't feel like zoning back in. I could daydream while I did the same thing over and over again, picturing a life where my diploma meant something, where I could put my skills into good use and actually be a productive member of society.
Too bad society was corrupt to the core and full of double standards. Hell, even the standards that were seen as "normal" were utterly ridiculous and unrealistic. Sometimes, I question whether I'm awake, or if this is just some wild nightmare, hoping I'd wake up and be a kid again.
School doesn't seem like such a bad place when you're an adult.
But that's just part of life, it's better to grow up than to forever be young. If I were a child for eternity, I wouldn't be able to reminisce on the good old days and reflect on myself as a person. Nostalgia hits harder the more distant the memory becomes, which is quite sad when you think about it because it also fades away.
After around half an hour of work, the line had finally cleared and I had a short amount of time to take a break. The café I worked at was a little small, but the low prices made it a hot spot for people to come along and snatch a little something to munch on. The advantages it had over other businesses were the location and the availability, but a little more room couldn't hurt.
If I were the owner, I'd expand the business while keeping everything the same, maybe make a few improvements here and there to my liking. A hefty profit is nice and all, but the customer is what matters. They're not always right, but I'd make it so they'd want to come back, quality over quantity and all that jazz.
Perhaps when, if , I move up in the world, I'll open my own little business. I always liked video games, but sadly, physical copies are becoming rarer and rarer, more of a collector's item than anything.
What could be another option... Hmm...
Ice cream.
Yeah, that's not a bad idea. All the places in the area that sold the sweet dessert were Italian-based. They were good, don't get me wrong, but we needed more diversity in terms of taste. I had a good grasp on this area of the city, I knew what was abundant and what was lacking, what the demand was, how high it was and how far people would be willing to pay for the goods.
I snickered to myself, I should make a spinning wheel like in those game shows and let it decide what decision I should take. There were many products that one could only find in far corners of the city, it wouldn't hurt to try when I got some more money.
But then there's the risk factor.
No one likes to be a loser, but it happens. People who say you should just accept a loss don't know what they're talking about. We all lose at one point, but the trick is to learn, to improve, to become better. Accepting, and more accurately, admitting your mistake is only half of the solution, the other half is correcting it, making sure it never happens again.
I went on quite the tangent there, didn't I?
I had no one to talk to. My parents lived a state over and they weren't exactly aware of my poor lifestyle. Not poor in wealth, but in health. I was never the extrovert type, my friend circle mainly consisted of high school buddies I knew since middle school.
What chads they were, shame I lost touch with them.
However, my fucked up life wasn't anything special; everyone had problems of their own. I won't say that I sympathize with everyone though, because I don't, I just understand. I am aware of the problem, and frankly enough, I need to take care of my own ass first.
Anyhow, the clock on the wall told me that my shift had come to an end. The eighth hour had begun, yes, late working hours, but I also start well into the after-morning. There's nothing like waking up to natural light.
Once the last customer received their order, I went to front window to flip over the sign from Open to Closed, the shop is supposed to be reopened in half an hour. Right after, I left through the front door. My apartment was a short walk from here, plus, there were two other employees in the back, and we'd agreed that I'd go first since I always arrived first for my shift.
The walk to the apartment complex was as mundane as ever; the streetlights cast a boring, yellow glow over the roads, the traffic had died down to a dozen of cars instead of a jam that stretched for blocks on end, most of the windows of the buildings were dark and the occupants inside likely asleep.
After five minutes or so, I entered the particular skyscraper I called home. I lived on one of the middle floors, so it took the elevator a good minute to arrive at the ground level. Once it did, I pressed the button to my floor. Per the vote of the majority of the tall complex, no music played in the elevator. Any more of the generic pop songs and my brain was going to implode. I don't care what people like, but the quiet was a pleasant tune to listen to as well.
With a ding, the elevator opened its doors to reveal a long corridor, the doors on either side generously spaced from each other. I went towards my door, readying my key.
I entered my apartment, locking the door behind me and double-checking it. A few weeks ago, a robbery took place in our building. In addition, it wasn't your usual break-in, the ones who were robbed did in fact lock their door.
Still, it meant that some fuckers were going around like vultures, searching for a quick profit at the expense of others. It never hurt to be extra cautious.
Wiping the dirt off the bottom of my shoes on the doormat, I took them off and switched to the good old crocs. Yes, I am a menace to society, bite me. The only three items in my pockets were my phone, my keys and my wallet which held the rest of the invaluable cards; from my ID to my expired gym membership.
That was all I needed. I packed lighter than a feather, having a workplace so close to home had its perks, though I'd love to dust off my driver's license, even if it's for a spin or two. Too bad cars were costly and the traffic in the city was worse than the pollution.
I took my things out of my pockets and placed them on the kitchen counter so I wouldn't forget them the next day. The apartment was small, having only three rooms which were the living room, I counted the kitchen corner as part of it, the bedroom, and the bathroom.
This was one of the reasons I couldn't get a girlfriend, or in simpler words, couldn't pull any bitches; my home was designed for one person. It couldn't be because of my terrible social skills, or the fact that I was scared of rejection, or my indolence. Nope, it's my apartment. Not me, definitely not me.
I began my usual evening routine before bed; eat whatever was in the fridge, leftovers at best, peanut butter sandwich at worst. After that, I went to the bathroom to take care of the rest. Toilet, shower, brush teeth, floss to get all the nasty stuff between my teeth out and dry off. To the bedroom to put on a clean pair of underwear, put my phone in the charging port and hit the hay.
What? I sleep in my underwear, it's not that weird. I lived alone and there were only three windows in total, one for every room. However, the one in the bedroom was useless because it faced the reflective surface of another scraper, great design by the way, I wonder who was the genius that approved that.
Lying under the comfortable covers, I checked my phone, still connected to the charging cable, and set the alarm for seven in the morning instead of the usual nine. I had to cover for one of my co-workers because they had an emergency, but that was fine with me. I owed them for a different time they did the same for me.
I turned off the phone and closed my eyes, drifting off to slee-
Whoops, almost forgot to take my schizo pills.
I propped myself on my right side with an arm, reaching for the middle drawer of the nightstand. Inside was a half-full water bottle and an orange capsule containing a very important drug.
Ever since I was little, I saw... things. Things that weren't there, no voices though, surprisingly. Mom always told, and showed, me that there were no monsters in the closet, or under the bed, or outside staring at me through the window.
I wanted to believe her, but I couldn't. I knew I heard its scratches, I knew I saw its angry, red eyes, I remember how it grabbed my ankle when I was ten, just thinking about that incident gave me goosebumps.
Eventually, she realized that maybe there was something wrong with me. She took me to see a... I believe it was a psychiatrist, I can't remember those times very well. The doctor was a very nice man, always polite and considerate. For the first weeks, he couldn't find anything wrong with me, as if my visions were real.
But they weren't, they couldn't have been.
However, he did find a treatment using a medicine called... Zypretsel? Zyprone? Zyplone? It started with Zyp, but from there, I honestly don't know. It worked wonders, and I rarely ever saw the monster that plagued my nights.
There's the catch; rarely. It wasn't a cure; it suppressed the problem, but didn't fix it. Not that I was ungrateful, it helped me immensely, it made me feel stable, normal. But I could still hear it from time to time, a scratch there, a grunt here. The shortest period I went without catching signs of it was two weeks and the longest a month.
Perhaps somewhen in the future, there'll be a permanent cure for this terrible condition. Until then, I'll try to be the best version of myself.
Popping open the plastic container, I let a single pill fall out onto my palm. I then placed it on my tongue, putting it back and taking a sip from the bottle to wash it down as well as a few more for good measure.
I left the bottle on the nightstand for the three-in-the-morning-wake-up moment after properly closing it, that's when the water hits the spot. I threw the sheets over myself once again, departing on another dreamless ride, a side effect of the medicine was the absence of imagination during rest.
But at least I could sleep.
I closed the door behind me, huffing in exhaustion.
Today was horrendous.
Not only were we short-staffed, but I just arrived home at ten! Fucking ten! Sure, it's not that bad, but I already knew I was going to wake up feeling like shit the next morning. That moron will hear from us when he comes back, because the manager also suffered from his bullshitery.
One of the employees decided to give us the metaphorical bird and quit without notifying any of us. He wouldn't be receiving his weekly pay, that's for sure... I hope.
Just like the day before, I took my things out of my pants and put them in the exact same place on the counter, it was all muscle memory at this point. I was so fucking tired, enough to eat a few slices of bread from the fridge in order to satiate my hunger till the next day, but not enough to do my usual routine in the bathroom. I did everything I'd done the previous day expect for showering. I had deodorant laying around somewhere, so I used it to hide my filthy smell.
Dragging my legs into the bedroom, I dropped onto the glorious bed like a sack of potatoes. I didn't even bother covering myself, laying on my side in nothing but a pair of fresh boxers.
Whoever invented the bed should be viewed as an international hero, because that shit is the best invention in existence...
I woke up for no reason.
That's... strange. Why did I wake up? I'm still feeling like shit, well, maybe just a bit better after... however long I slept.
How many hours did I get anyway? Ah, right, my phone. I felt around for it, did I put in on then nightstand? Never mind that, I got it and clicked the power button. I squinted my eyes against the bright screen, it was just past one in the morning, good lord.
I was about to shut it down before I noticed something strange on the screen; there was a black patch in the middle. I increased the brightness, further stinging my eyes in the process and not thinking much of it.
The area only got darker, what the fuck? No, wait, it was spreading! Is this a virus? What the fuck is going on? Nah, I'm dreaming, tripping, hehe, tripping, what a funny word-
My line of thought was cut off by a minor detail in the black blob; two, red dots in the upper section stared back at me.
Two red dots.
Red dots.
Red eyes.
RED EYES?!
I snapped around, almost dropping my phone. There was no one there, I was imagening things, a trick of the mind-
I lost all feeling in my body, my phone fell to the ground beside the bed, automatically shutting off after thirty seconds of inactivity.
I was on my back, and I could only move my head. Yup, this is a nightmare. I didn't know my imagination was this developed, was this what people called lucid dreaming?
The curtains of window abruptly closed, sending the room into pure darkness. In the corner of the room to my right reappeared the two red dots I saw on the screen.
Why do I feel like I recognize those? I feel like I'd seen this somewhere before- no, somewhen , many times. The black pupils in the middle stared back at me.
I didn't take my pills.
I... didn't take my pills.
I forgot them.
I opened and shut my mouth like a fish out of water, my breath hitching. I forgot my medicine! How could I let that happen?! How?!
Oh no, I know what it is! It's the thing! The thing! THE THING!!!
Along with everything below my neck, I lost the ability to use my voice. I couldn't talk, shout, or scream out in terror. It made the fear grip my mind even harder, tunnel vision locking onto the monster.
The eyes began approaching me, light steps and the scratching of claws on wood coming from its general direction. My eyes were still adapting to the lack of light, its shape slowly becoming apparent to me. Oh shit, it's tall, like three heads taller than me! Almost twice my own height!
The sole sign I was alive and horrified was the quiet clattering of my teeth. Tears were freely running down my cheeks. I could see its horns, long and curling horizontally. It had fur, in some places more than others. The shape of its body curvy and slim, and its nails- no, claws, oh God, oh God, it could rip my guts out and hang them like Christmas lights and kill torture hurt pain death nonononoONONONONONO-!
A hand closed around my mouth, it stood beside the bed on the same side the phone fell off, towering over me like... like... I don't fucking know! I couldn't control my lungs, my breathing was erratic and unstable, just like my mental state.
It smiled! I fucking smiled at me! I screamed in my mind, swearing my heart out like a sailor.
"That's not very nice of you~"
I froze, though I was already frozen. Where did that come from?! Was there someone here? Did someone break into my house?!
"No, silly. It's me~" I looked up, at the thing. The thing that haunted me ever since I was a kid, the thing that forced me to become dependent on drugs in order to live as a functioning member of society, the thing that-
The hand squeezed my head hard enough to cut me off, but not hurt me, "That's no way to talk to a lady, and your childhood friend, no less," what the fuck is it- "If you call me it one more time, I'll skip the foreplay~" What does that mean? What does that mean?! What the fuck is going on?! Why is the thing a she and whywhywhywhy-
"Shhhh~ Shhhhhhhh~ It's okay, it's okay," she let go of my head, climbing onto the bed, her weight making the springs creek in protest.
She sat down on my lap, gazing down at me like a predator, "Hmm~ What a way to describe me, you're so adorable~" She can read my thoughts? How is that possible?! Nah, I'm dreaming, I am soooo freaking dreaming.
This is what I get for skipping my meds.
"Stop it," even if this was a dream- "You're not dreaming, honey~ If that were the case, would you be able to feel this? " She grabbed the back of my head with one hand, lowering her head to mine while tilting it to the side. When she was a pinkie away from me, she slightly opened her mouth, and out of it slithered her tongue, darting right between my lips.
I moaned in surprise, trying to fight back the slimy organ. But she simply wrapped her tongue around mine like a python, exploring as far as the upper part of my throat. The forced exchange of saliva made me gag, but she didn't give me any chance to retaliate. I could feel her sharp teeth graze my cheeks and chin, but it was subsided by the heavy hotness in my mouth. It felt like the moment lasted forever, but it was just that; a moment.
Eventually, she pulled back, ending the deep kiss with a quick peck over my lips, "How was that~?"
...
I had an erection.
And more importantly, there was no fucking way I was dreaming this. But if that was the case...
She giggled bashfully, uncharacteristic for the hulking mountain of madness on top of me, "You have such a way with words, it makes me want to..." she sighed, switching her grip to my shoulders, "Do you know how... how long I've been waiting? How... How much I... missed you?"
What?
"Even since you started taking those... that poison, I couldn't get near you. I couldn't even reveal myself to you, a wall stood between us, keeping you away from me..."
What?
"Remember when we used to play pretend? You'd hide in your bed and pretend you were asleep, and I'd have to break your cute façade. Oh, how fun that was~!"
What the fuck are you on about?!
"Don't... Don't you remember? I was always there; in your closet, under your bed, in your window. Always watching, waiting, learning, fantasizing~ "
Wait, so the... my visions...
"Were real. They were real. This is real. And I am very, very, veeeery real~"
So all this time... I took drugs... for nothing? I didn't even need them?! But if you're real; how?! HOW?!
"Because we exist. We wander, we search, we wait for the right man. I still remember that night, when I first saw you through the window, peacefully sleeping in your bed. I knew that you were the one, I knew you were mine~ My human~ My little hubby~"
For some reason, I blushed at her words.
"Do you know just how much I've missed you? How long I'd gone without you? It's not your fault, but...
"I think it's time you make it up to me, and I know the right way~" She grabbed the fabric of my boxers, and with a swift pull, tore it off like as if it was made of nylon. She slid her hand over my bare chest and down my stomach, my ribs showing and a little ticklish to the touch.
"So weak, so fragile, so hurt~ You need me, you know you do deep down. And even if you don't, I'll show you how much you missed me too. Nothing can take us apart again, not even death!"
Then, she went even lower, down to my- WAITWAITWAIT-!
"NO!" Her voice boomed in my mind , silencing me, "I... I won't be denied what I DESERVE! If you don't love me now...
"I'll just have to share my love with you~"
Before I could get another word in, she grabbed my erect member, giving it a few pumps. Her palms had this strange texture, similar to a padding while also having a thin layer of fur.
I clenched my eyes, turning away from her. In response, she gave a harder squeeze, eliciting a moan from me, "That's right~ I know you like it, but I think it's better that you feel the real thing~"
The real thing? What real thing?
She sat down on my shaft, rubbing her...
Pussy. She was rubbing her pussy up and down my dick.
I'm scaroused.
"That's right~ I saw your search history, you like being controlled, you want me, you need me, you can even call me mommy!" Once my schlong was slick with her juices, she raised herself upwards, using one hand to push me into the bed and the other to aim the tip into her folds. She was literally dripping with wetness, the femcum accumulating on my lap in a small puddle.
Then, ever so slowly, she began lowering herself. If she just dropped herself, she'd probably break my pelvis.
"You're- mmm~ correct," I whimpered in response, the lack of ways I could express myself made me feel like a kettle about to explode. I could only make quiet noises from my throat as she kept taking me in bit by bit. She was like quick sand; the deeper I went, the harder it was to pull out.
Once she almost reached the end, she let herself go, burying my entire length in her tight cunt. The fact I couldn't move was maddening, I couldn't do a thing to stop her, I couldn't even voice myself. I could do nothing as I just laid there uselessly.
"Why- ah~ do you keep lying to yourself? Mhh- Right there~!" She began grinding her hips, stimulating me from multiple angles, "I know every- mhh~ thing about you, you little VIRGIN!" She humped my rod, hitting her cervix. I let out a silent cry, turning a new shade of red that science has yet to discover. How did she know- right, she's a...
What are you?
"Mhhm~ Right theeeeeeere~ Ah~ To put it in simple words; I'm a paralysis demon, and you're MINE!" She raised herself just a bit before slamming down, making the bed shake under the stress, "Do you feel good? Do I feel good to you? Hmm~? Do you want me to be tighter? I can do that, anything for you~"
She clamped down harder than a vacuum chamber, groping her own breast while staring down at me. Her eyes shined brighter, I could swear they... turned into hearts?
"Do you want to feel them? Here~" She took me by the wrist, craning herself over me so her tits would hang over me, pushing my right hand into her soft flesh while maintaining her assault on my poor penis. Holy shit, they were like gel, sexy, furred gel.
I couldn't deny it anymore, it didn't feel good; it was amazing. Every neuron in my body was flaring up a storm of mixed signals, my nether regions felt like a party of tickles and pleasure, and the blurry line that separated terrifying and attractive made me even more aroused.
Was this truly real?
"Yes! I'm real!" She slammed down with her full weight, actually hurting me a little, though it didn't stop the pleasure from edging closer to the end, "You... You don't want me? You don't... love me? Even after... THIS!" She began bouncing up and down my cock, gripping my sides with desperation, her claws sinking into my skin.
It burned so much, and it'd leave a scar, but somehow, it made me it feel even better, "If you won't- AH~! Accept me, then...!
"I'll just have to break you~" Without a warning, she changed she pace to that of an automatic weapon, moving her hips up and down faster than I could see, though she barely let me out of her raging snatch anyway.
Wait, break me? What does that mea-
"It meeeeeeeans- Ah~ I can feel it coming~ You're close, right? Of COURSE you are!" She no longer held herself back, dropping her upper half on top of mine, burying my face in her cleavage. The tuft of fur in the middle caressed my face, her boobs an inescapable, erotic prison.
She was right. I felt my balls tense up, readying to shoot their load into this monster.
"I am no monster, you insensitive boy~!" She hugged me close to her, locking my body in place, "I'm you wife~"
With one last thrust, I ejaculated a week's worth of cum inside her. Synced with my heartbeat, I shot ropes and ropes of hot, sticky semen into her angry womb, a bliss I never thought existed washing over me.
Her fur was really nice, and her breasts somehow didn't suffocate me. Even after I was empty, she kept on milking me for every imaginary drop. And even after I was dry as a desert, she kept fucking me silly in the same position, pressed up against each other with my manhood nestled deep inside her. I didn't know how much time passed after I lost consciousness, or how many of my bones she cracked, but one thing was certain.
The next morning I was greeted with a handful of fur in my face and a quiet snoring coming from above me.
