Water Tribes
Nya- southern tribe. Never meet her father or older brother. Mother was taken during the same raid as Katara and Sokka’s. Same age as Katara and might as well be their sibling. Both Nya and Katara practice water bending with Nya being a quick learner and slightly more skilled in some aspects. Refuses to learn to blood bend
Zane- northern tribe. Mother died in child birth and he was blessed by the moon spirit, giving him his white hair. Due to this he, along with his father, are basically considered royalty and live in the palace. Grew up with the princess and consider each other siblings. Extremely skilled ice bender but could never really water bend
Fire Nation
Kai- Never met his mother and doesn’t know he has a sister. Father is a trusted Fire Nation General. He grew up with the nations prince. He considers himself and the prince brothers. Was banished along with the prince and his uncle for trying to defend the prince against his father.
Jay- With non-bender parents, he never thought he would be able to bend, let alone lightning
Earth Kingdom
Cole- Grew up close to the Beifong family. Fathers were childhood friends and he grew up around them and their daughter. Never wanted to go to a dance school or follow in his fathers footsteps. After finding out about the Earth Rumble, an underground earth bending tournament, he was immediately a big fan, later actually joining. After a year or so in, The Blind Bandit joins and climbs the ranks and they both find each other and promise to never tell
Lloyd- Never met his father but was told stories by his mother before she abandoned him at a boarding school. Found out he was a fire bender on accident and was terrified of himself and claims to be a non-bender like his mother
Parents
Water Tribes
Maya- southern tribe. Met a charming soldier. Both ran away for two years before he had to return to the fire nation. During that time they had a son, in fear of him growing up to be a fire bender in the water tribe, the soldier took him home. She returned home to the south and later found out she was pregnant. A few years after her daughter was born she was taken by the fire nation along with other water benders from her tribe
Dr. Julian- northern tribe. Non-bender. Considered royalty because of his sons blessing by the moon spirit. Prefers to live in their home rather than the palace along side his son. Loves his son more than anything
Fire Nation
Ray- Trusted Fire Nation General. Met a beautiful water tribe woman. Both ran away for two years before returning for the upcoming war. In that time they had a son, and returned with him. Was devastated beyond belief when the fire lord banished his son and the Lords own son. Continues to believe that she lives happily in the south
Ed and Edna- Non-benders. At first only created little gadgets for themselves and their son before fire nation soldiers discovered them and their scrap yard. Later getting recruited to work for the nation
Jays mother- Mysterious lighting warrior
Garmadon- Powerful noble fire bender with the ability to redirect lighting. Father of a son he doesn’t know about. Was cursed by a snake spirit at a young age. Has meddled with dark spirits and has an odd connection to them. Was exiled because of his dark practices
Earth Kingdom
Lou- Non-bender. In a quartet, the Royal Blacksmiths. Grew up with the current Lord Beifong and they continue to be friends. Accidentally distanced himself from his son. Knows his son sneaks out every other night, refuses to believe he’s doing anything unlawful like Lord Beifong suggests
Cliff Gordon- Popular play actor in Ba Sing Se
Misako- Non-bender. Fell in love with a fire nation noble. Found out she was pregnant with his son after she returned home to Omashu. Raised him for his first five years before returning to her work as an adventurer and abandoned him at a boarding school
