Chapter 1: Episode 1: Strike it Out and Fight for Millions

Chapter Text

The early morning sun shone at a grand yet dull-looking construction, with different shades of metal plates bolted onto each other and seemed to create a pair of spirals towards the middle of the construction: a shinier metal-plated statue of a familiar man in Greek robes, holding a giant cauldron.

Chris McLean is holding a lit torch as he walks towards the construction modelled after him.

“We’ve had challenges that push contestants to their breaking point, most of the time, they can’t handle the pain we put them through. In this season’s case, it’s all about pushing them beyond their limit and tolerating the pain they gain!” He smirks as he stops and uses the torch to ignite the bottom of the trial that spreads across the two spirals, finally igniting the cauldron the statue holds.

“Pahkitew Island has made some major changes since we last visited, from a deserted fake-Cree island to the one and only Pahkitew Sports Resort, still under renovation!”

Chris is now at the beach of the island, standing on a large rock as the gentle breeze blows through his hair. “The games are mine to control, this island is my arena and I’ll be summoning sixteen unfortunate players to battle it out for one thing only; one million dollars in all of its glory!”

Chris walks down the steps that the rock he was standing on has and walks onto the docks, the wood looks brand new, and Chris keeps walking until he gets to the far end. “It’ll be our most extreme, most exhausting, most exhilarating Total Drama by far! So, join me on this new season of…

Total

Drama

Game Challengers!”

Opening:

A light appears in front of a starting line, then another one appears in front of a gymnasium, then a camera appears from inside a box full of different types of sports balls and another on appears from inside a tree with a racoon with a pair of pom poms before a clapperboard claps in front of the scene.

“Dear Mom and Dad, I’m doing fine. You guys are on my mind.”

The camera shows the Pahkitew Sports Resort and Chris and Chef riding a golf cart then it gets to the top of Mount McLean before dropping down to a lake.

You ask me what I wanted to be and I think the answer is plain to see...”

Morgan is searching for something with a magnifying glass before seeing robot sharks with glowing red eyes and quickly swims away before the camera resurfaces to catch Jo and Brick having a jet ski race before Jo stops whilst Brick crashed into some rocks.

“I wanna be famous!”

Sending him flying back to shore where Rio is digging through a large pile of junk and Brick crashes into the pile before he gives Rio an awkward smile whilst Rio looks at him with concern before being relieved.

“I wanna live across to the sun...”

The camera then zooms to Mount McLean as Courtney steps out of the Chopper of Contrition with Scott helping her out whilst blushing.

“Pack your bags ‘cause I’ve already won!”

Right before Fang steps out from behind a mechanical wall, chases Scott and gets jumped on by Courtney, the couple and the mutated Shark ran into Nadia and the entire group plummeted down.

“Nothing left to prove, nothing in my way...”

The camera then sees Scott and Fang crashing onto the ground where Dawn is meditating with some birds, Gwen sketching and Nadia using her umbrella to save herself and Courtney from falling faster.

’l’ll get there one day, cause I wanna be...”

The camera pans to Duncan and Dante doing push-ups before a grouchy Percy started to sit on Dante’s back and yet he was able to keep up with Duncan before Dante launches Percy away off screen.

“Famous!”

The next camera shows Eva in the gym inside the hotel, lifting a pair of dumbbells when Percy came crashing through the window on collided with Eva, who seems entirely unbothered by him.

“Nanananananaaaaa nananananaaa, nananananaaa!”

The camera then pans outside where Harold and Lucy are doing their “Shonen Training”.

“I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!”

And then a monkey took Penkou-Chan that was resting in a rock, causing Lucy to go after it to try and get Penkou-Chan back and then Lightning comes in, grabs Penkou-Chan and throws it across to Lucy’s direction.

“I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!”

Then the sky turns from daytime to night-time as the camera pans down to where Dawn and Morgan are as they sat by the campfire, they smile at each other until Chris comes in-between them whilst holding some medals in his hands. The camera then zooms out to reveal the rest of the cast around the campfire and the

“Welcome back to Total Drama: Game Challengers!” Chris is still at the docks and just on the grassy path is a tram (like in the one that Chris uses for the Total Drama All-Stars finale) with three carts with the first two having two rows of seats that face towards each other. “Right now, we got some familiar faces to reintroduce to the competition! And here they are now!”

A yacht pulls over at the docks and the exit is lowered for people to get off, it is a ramp with hand-railings for support in case anyone would be needing them.

“Courtney,” First comes a girl in smart clothing and brown, neat hair who walked down first.

“Harold” Then comes a scrawny red-headed lad with quite a lot of neon colours on his shirt who was busy doing some Hiragana Crosswords (just roll with it).

“Eva,” Next to come down is a muscular, scary woman in blue with a face that always scowls as she carries two heavy-looking bags.

“Gwen, who was hard to come by.” Then comes a girl with her hair striped teal and black with matching makeup and clothes.

All four of them, especially Gwen, felt uncomfortable until Harold decided to break the silence.

“So, Eva? How was your hiatus?”

“Eventful. Leave it at that.” She replied without a care on her face.

The awkward yet tense atmosphere is interrupted by an RCMP boat that just arrives and parks at the docks from the other side of the docks.

Two police officers stand in between a man who looks familiar, he just has long, black, greasy hair that almost covers his eyes, and his face is dishevelled and dull. He now wears an orange jumpsuit and a machine around his right ankle.

“Duncan…” Chris huffed in a disappointed sigh whilst the others look in shock as three figures got closer to them. “Woah. I’ve been missing a lot.” Harold flatly gasped.

“You know the deal, McLean,” said one officer as the other went back inside the boat to collect something. Duncan looks towards Courtney, Harold, and Gwen as the gang just stands there with even more awkwardness.

“I know. Keep Duncan on his leash, make sure he doesn’t leave the island without police, and he is permitted to return to the island for whatever reason I give him.” Chris said as he begins to sign some papers that the officer gave him whilst the other one came out and handed Duncan a pile of his belongings like his clothes, his toiletries and a couple of books which Duncan takes off him.

“No bag?” He asks the officer.

“You know the deal, Tarun.” They replied bluntly to which Duncan rolled his eyes. “Yes, sir.” Then the policemen took their leave and sped off. “You look awful.” Eva said to him. “And you haven’t changed much.” Duncan said back to her.

“Gosh. What happened to you?” Harold asked to which Duncan replied: “Oh, just been on Canada’s Next Flop Model. Got my picture taken after completely blowing up a Mansion!”

“Uhh… Moving onto player number 6, The Lone Wolf of Many Football Seasons, Lightning!”

“Lightning’s coming in hot for his third Total Drama season!” An athletic lad in a blue, white, and yellow jersey who is holding his duffle bag with one hand on the handles, grinds down the hand railing before tossing his bag in the air. “Sha-BAM!” he then jumps in the air, performed a summersault, and landed on his feet before he catches his bag without even looking.

“Flashy as always to prove… your moto?” Chris asks the Quarterback.

“Yeah, the Lightning’s here to win it!”

“He seems confident.” Harold pointed out to which Eva nodded.

“Or get booted trying. To the line, please.” Chris pointed as Lightning makes his way to the original cast.

A girl with a pale complexion and an aura of unsettling friendliness walked down the steps whilst carrying a vibrant purple holdall bag. “Greetings everyone.” She spoke. “Alright, up next is Dawn.” When Dawn faces the competitors, Courtney, Duncan, Harold, and Eva are somewhat spooked out by her, Lightning and Gwen seemed no different than before. “I look forward to getting to know you all!”

“Doesn’t watching the show do that for you?” Courtney explained harshly.

“In a way...” Dawn said as she walks up to Courtney. “And it makes sense for you to keep up with the Total Drama seasons as a way to help you win.”

Courtney froze, then she heated up. “Don’t cross me with that aura reading, got it?” This was enough for Gwen to step in. “Okay! Don’t be a complete psycho about! I’m sure she was just giving you an example of what she can do.” She said. Dawn nodded at Gwen.

“Save the chit chat for later. I got skanky contestants to introduce, like Scott over here!” Chris interrupts them and points at a ginger boy in a stained tank top and a devious look on his face.

“Hey!” yelled the Dirt Farmer. “Only my ma can call me Skanky!”

“That’s an insult.” Eva said as Scott makes his way down to the docks with everyone else. “Whatever! I didn’t come here to get lectured by a lady who just came out of the retirement home.”

Eva would’ve mauled him if not for Gwen, Harold and even Lightning’s fast reaction to hold her back. “Oh, I’ve gotten plenty of experience from watching this stupid show, you dirt-faced rat man.”

“Whatever, make sure you use that experience to avoid elimination.” Scott then walks past a snarling Eva and stand next to Courtney, who is reading her contract about the show. Scott gave her a wave but she paid him no mind.

A woman in a grey hoodie glares at Chris as she stomps down the ramp with her blue, patchy duffle bag over her shoulder, “Contestant number nine is the one and only Jo!”

“Watch what you’re doing, McLean.” She then dumps the bag in front of herself and then looks at the competition. “Same goes for all of you!” She said in a harsh tone in her voice. “Prepare yourselves for a world of hurt, unless you step aside.”

“Sha-real original from you, Jo...” Lightning spoke back sarcastically as he takes a few steps closer to her. “No wonder people wanted you gone when they had the chance to vote you out!”

“You were booted off first, Brightning, and I have a feeling you won’t go so far this time either.”

“And that’s why you’ve gotten the boot shortly after me, you even had that message I pre-recorded to rub it in ya face!” The two jocks growls at each other and with two seasons of hate between the two, could you blame them? But it wouldn’t hurt the ratings as Chris just sighs in relief.

“That’s my favourite part of rematches, watching two rivals about to maul each other... Speaking of rivals, Jo, we’ve invited Brick to the season!”

“Oh joy!” Jo said sarcastically. “Admiral Wet-Pants has finally made his grand re-“ Then Jo took one look at Brick and her usual demeanour turned into slow shock. “Tu-huh?...” The cadet comes marching with his camo bag and he seems a bit... Different. Brick has a different shirt, still having his usual short sleeve, but his turtleneck is gone, and he has a small pocket on the side of his chest, his shorts were replaced with ripped jeans and even his hair is styled differently with a cow-lick. The black watch on his left wrist completes the militaristic look.

“Brick McArther, reporting for duty!” he salutes.

“Sheesh, Brick!” Lightning exclaims, shoving Jo away to check him out. “You look sha-good!”

“Thanks, like what you did to your hair!”

“Oh, thanks man. It just sha-started to regain it’s natural col-“

“BRICK?!”

“Jo! How have you been?” Brick asked delightfully to Jo as she has finally recovered from the shock and shoved Lightning away.

“What are you doing in…in… that?!”

“In my clothes? Just catching up with a fellow member of Team Men!”

“No! I-“

“OKAY! Loving the new look, Brick, and that’s not the only new thing for this season!” Chris exclaims as everyone lines up. “This time, we have six new contestants joining you guys!” Everyone else gasps in surprise.

“Is this why the boat felt… empty?” Gwen asked.

“Where are they then?” then Brick.

“What did you do to them, Chris?” then Courtney.

“Is this why I felt so much negative energy at the hull?” and then Dawn before Chris blew the air horn to shut everyone up.

“I wanted to keep this a surprise by letting them hide in the hull, I’ve even had Chef to guard the door so none of you were able to peep, hope you’ll understand, right Dawn?” Chris emphasises Dawn especially.

“Yes… Chris, I knew I’d be kicked off if I had said anything...”

“And how did you know this again?” Gwen asked the Moonchild.

“I read people’s auras, and yours is telling me you don’t want to be here.”

“Well… You’re not wrong.” Gwen crossed her arm.

“All right, our first newbie is Morgan!” A person with soft, black hair and large glasses walks out from the cargo door that Chef just recently opened, Morgan does resemble a mystery and someone who could potentially solve them too.

Audition Tape

“I’m known to be a bit of a risk-taker who helps out at their Uncle’s Detective Agency by searching clues for Theft and Assault Cases.” Morgan then shows a Local News Report about a few of their cases. “Being a detective isn’t just about solving cases with whatever you find odd, but it’s also the endurance that comes from facing such cases from dead-ends to uncooperative parents who disagree with their kid’s life choices!” Morgan glares at the mother and father that loom by the door of the bedroom. “Seriously? In the middle of my Audience Tape? Go away!” The parent then leave and closes the door. Morgan then sighs in relief.

“Apologies. So I thought, what better way to show them that I am a capable detective by joining Total Drama, the most dangerous reality show about deception and being one step ahead of your opponents?”

“Welcome, Morgan.” Chris introduces them. “Just stay with the rest of the group over there for now, please.” Morgan walks along with their orange hiking bag, one of the handles has a Non-Binary pin on it. “Alright, thank you.” They replied before Chris continued.

“Newbie number two comes all the way from Quebec, Rio!” A woman with dark, long locs in a high ponytail walks down to the dock, she has a few piercings on her face, baggy blue denim jeans and above her plain white t-shirt is a sleeveless leather jacket and a orange and gold flower tattoo with green thorns. It’s unclear she’s really feeling as those round sunglasses just masks her.

Audition Tape

A large row of bikes and their female bikers took over the empty alleyway.

“Hola, name’s Rio! Member of the largest female biker gang in all of Canada, the Burns and Roses.” She shows off the emblem that is printed on the back of her jacket. “As a gang, we do a lot for our neighbourhoods, such as charity and making sure no idiot gang gets on our terf and what that happens, let’s just say this...” Rio and some of her gang members can be seen beating up some other gang. “... They better think next time who they fight against.”

“S’up?” she asks as she carries her neon green suitcase and chewing on some bubblegum. Even something that innocent made almost everyone look at her with unease, even when she’s walking past them to the other end of the line.

“Being the most feared contestant without trying that hard. You’re gonna be a lotta fun, ya know that?” Rio rolled her eyes as she takes off her sunglasses. “And you’re gonna be insane as-“

“Hello!” yelled a flat voice that came from the girl in ripped black jeans and a pink, bunny-like jacket with the hood on her head waved at the cast. “Chris, stoaked to be here, dude!” she smiles excitably as she sprints down the ramp with a pair of black and pink boots that makes her look so much taller than she is. “Wait, that didn’t sound right.” She said to herself.

Audition Tape

“Hello! I’m Lucy!” She spoke softly and sweetly. “I really enjoy Total Drama and I would like to be a part of the show. To meet new people and have some excitement like the adrenaline junkie that I am. For why I would be a good pick, I listed the following: I’m smart, I’m super creative and amongst my family and I,” She shows a picture of herself, what appears to be a mother, father and two brothers. “I’m known to be a bit of a wildcard!” She grins before she gives a blink face to the camera. “But seriously, don’t call me a weeb or else I’ll show you pain in ma face.” She pointed.

“Lucy! The... ugh... Weeb? Was it?” Lucy pulled a face of disgust.

“Go figure. Welcome to Total Drama!” Chris exclaims as he greets the hooded girl as the latter put her face back to normal.

“Thanks, dude! Where do I-“

“Keep a hold of your stuff for now until further notice.”

“Oh, okay, thanks, dude!” Lucy then sprints towards the cast, carrying her lilac Ita backpack and her cute penguin plushie. “I can’t believe I’m competing with you guys!”

“Just because you’re new here, doesn’t mean I’ll go easy on ya, Rabbit.” Jo said.

“It’s not just any rabbit, it’s Chiusa” Lucy grunted. “Chiusa is one of several Hanrio mascots that was founded in 1987 from Kyoto, Japan.” She then hugs her plush penguin tighter whilst she looks at everyone. “Sorry for my info dumping, I’m autistic, so I like to explain everything I like in detail.”

Harold chimes in. “Well, it’s always nice to learn something from someone else!”

“You… uh… WEEBS… can talk AFTER I’m finished with the important stuff!” Lucy pulled a face again and stood between Harold and Lightning, with the latter snickering at the face.

“Right now, here comes Percy!” A large, baby-faced, blonde boy in a maroon school uniform comes out from the cargo door and his expression is as sour as his overall vibe.

Audition Tape

“I want to come on the show and show myself who’s boss amongst these people,” He grunted. “And getting a chance to get famous the EASY way!” He then, from the top and end of a bunk bed, drops a pile of books onto his roommate who was sitting on his desk. “He’s just done my homework.”

“You there.” He said to Chef before dumping his bag in front of the latter. “Carry my luggage for me.” Percy then marches towards the dock, leaving behind a very displeased Chef.

“Aren’t you gonna carry your bag, bra?” Chris asks the spoilt kid. “Why should I?” Percy replied condescendingly.

“Wow…He’s one of THOSE rich kids…” Lightning said in disappointing shock.

Lucy replied as Percy was still talking highly about himself, but Chris doesn’t seem that bothered. “He almost made me wanna quit.”

“Lucky.” Harold said.

“But I wanna win and go to Japan.” She replied flatly, to which Lightning nods in understanding and Harold’s face lit up. “Wicked!”

Chef could be seen holding Percy’s bag by the handles and then, he began to spin. And Chris notices, but just stood there and the high and mighty Percy is none the wiser.

“-so because of the combined efforts of those two, my neck is INCREDIBLY SORE RIGHT NOW and I would appreciate it if you take the time to tend to my ne-EEEEEEEEEEDS!” Chef then tossed Percy’s bag like it was a steel hammer and hit Percy to the floor. The contestants were shocked whilst Chris and Chef just smiled sadistically. “Nice Luggage Throwing skills, as always, Chef!” Chris called out to his fellow Co-Host. “Thanks, man! I didn’t earn my Dork Hammer Throw trophy for nothing!” Chef proudly shows a golden trophy with an emblem of a ball of chaining hitting a stickman. “And this is my ninth year running!”

“Where do I sign up?” Scott asked.

“Our next player doesn’t need much of an introduction, but we kinda have to… please welcome Dante Malone!” a tall, tanned skin, curly dark brown haired, and well-built lad steps outs of the yacht. He’s in a brown pilot jacket and wears a necklace that suspiciously looks like a human tooth. “Hey fellas, yeah, I’m playin’.” Dante salutes with two of his fingers as he carries a black sports bag with a pair of blue boxing gloves hanging out. And the entire gang (mainly jocks) were shocked and in awe.

“Dante Malone?! You mean THE Dante Malone?!” Duncan exclaims in excitement.

“He’s the Champion of the Canadian Boxing Federation Junior League, and he’s competing here? On Total Drama?!” Jo stood there in shock as Dante just stood there awkwardly as he flushes. “Hey… I’m right here…”

“There!” Percy squeals and pointed at Dante. “He’s the one that stuffed me into a crate!”

“Hey, don’chu make me look like the bad guy when you ain’t so innocent either!” Dante pointed at the rich kid. “You’ve snatched that girl’s plush penguin, tried to take that person’s gloves off without their consent and even went as far as to accuse that biker chick of being a rageaholic and kicking her in the shin when she called ya out!” one of Dante’s eyes start to twitch the more upset he becomes at Percy.  “And that’s all before being stuffed into a box by me and her!”

“Thank you!” Rio called out to Dante.

“And it was thanks to you two, my neck was sore!” Percy then tries to punch Dante in the kiwis, but Dante catches his fist.

“Seriously? Is that the first thing you thought of to do?”

“Okay! Fun, petty argument aside, we got one more competitor to introduce! Get in line, boys.” Chris interrupts the two before Percy and Dante went to the line of castmates, glaring at each other.

“This is Nadia!” a brown girl with her dark brown hair in a low bun and a noticeable mole on the left side of her forehead steps out the yacht. She wears a light blue dress with red patterns on them, beige pumps, small golden hooped earrings and twin bracelets on each wrist and a red scarf to complete the entire look.

Audition Tape

“So, to tell you a bit about myself.” With a snap of her fingers, the spotlight came on and shown upon her. “The name’s Nadia Abdallah, a performer, an acrobatic young lady and known as the Cat of the Stage in the reality show, Dance Bombs.” She danced before balancing on her cane

“I think this show is another great opportunity to show myself outside of that show and onto this one, to be more than a pretty face and boost myself as the GOAT. No offence, Billy.” A small, blonde goat with a red bow and white collar tied neatly around it’s neck pulled a face and left the stage. “Now... Where was I.”

Then a sandbag fell and Nadia then swiftly dodged out of the way, causing shock amongst the judges. “Impeccable timing.” And then another sandbag fell down, Nadia then kicked it upwards and it his the ceiling, knocking off a girl to the floor. She then stood over her in disappointment. “And this is why you don’t cross me.” She glared at the girl and then she ran off the stage before Nadia took a bow and the judges gave her tens all around.

“So, is this the competition?” She asks in a condescending, yet perky tone. The contestants look at Nadia with stares of confusion, offence, and distrust. “Doesn’t look like much, despite the majority of them doing this for a long time… ha, ha, even the most experienced have countless issues.”

“Oh, so you think you’re better. Huh?” Eva asked unsettlingly calm as she walks towards the pretty girl, Nadia then pulls out an…

“What the- what’s with the umbrella?!” Eva raised her voice as Nadia pulled an umbrella of everything from behind her back. “All I can say to you, darling, is that I came prepared for anything that’ll happen here…” Chris then takes out his umbrella and suddenly, Chef came speeding past the crew on the yacht that causes a massive tidal wave to crash onto the entire dock, soaking almost everyone who is on there!

Well… almost everyone.

“…and I mean, anything.” Nadia finishes her sentence as she Dip holds Eva in one hand and her umbrella that kept them both dry in the other. “So be thankful that I am not as selfish as you first make me out to be.” Nadia sets Eva up and waits for Chris’ orders as she walks with the rest of the recently soaked contestants.

“Should’ve seen that one coming…” Gwen sighed as she is now drenched in seawater.

“They don’t call her the Cat of the Stage for nothing!” Chris exclaims as he tosses his now-soaked umbrella away. “Now, get dried up and place your luggage in the back cart, we got a big day ahead with so little time! Move it, people!”

Soon enough, everyone was on board  with Chris behind the wheel.

“Welcome Players to your new competition ground of Total Drama: Game Challengers! Last time we came here, Pahkitew Island was pretty much an empty robotic island.”

“Robotic?!” Dawn horrifyingly exclaimed.

“Yeah… Might as well make the most of the robotic side of the island to assist with the show, but not too often so it’ll get dry too fast.”
“Did you not watch last season, Dawn?” Dawn shook her head at Morgan’s question

Chris drives through a path that is surrounded by various trees until he stops outside a large, gorgeous, wooden log house, filled with luscious plants and just outside, three butlers stand by the front door, then they walk down towards the cart.

“Greetings, Butlers. Just take their luggage inside the main hall, for now, is fine.”

“Is this where we’re staying?” Courtney asks as the three butlers began to carefully take out everyone’s belongings. “Yes, and no,” Chris replies. “You see, this is Maison Des Winners, for the team that wins a challenge, they get to spend the afterparty here!” Everyone cheered and were estatic.

“And if you’re not part of the winning team? ” Jo smirks.

“Oooo, not somewhere pleasant, whichever team loses a challenge will spend the night at this handmade treehouse, with no showers, no heating, no delicious cuisines and no hot tub, to which the Maison Des Winners have!” The contestants groan at this as Chris points at the old treehouse from last season.

“Pahkitew Island has been a huge makeover, from an empty artificial island to the one and only Pahkitew Sports Resorts! So, as you’ve all probably guessed from that title alone, you’ll be competing against each other in challenges based on different sports, and this island is my entire coliseum!” Everyone seems uneasy, looking at each other for any idea what could happen?

“I want to express my frustrations.” Percy exclaims as his eye begins to twitch as his face folds with his scowl.

“Dude, perfect timing.” Chris said. “See that big stall over there?” Chris points to a bricked outdoor shower stall. “The new and improved Changing Room Confessional is just over there! Don’t worry, the water’s cut off, wouldn’t want to damage the camera.”

“Cool.” Percy made his way to the confessional.

Confessional: Percy

“So far, there are at least three people that gets on my nerves, minus Chef. First that pink hoodie girl! Like, who does she think she is, trying to stand out when I’m here! That biker girl, she’s just looking for a fight, same with the big guy, he just stuffed me inside a box! Who allowed these losers on this show?!”

Chris then faces the contestants and a TV monitor pops up from the ground. “For your first challenge, there are several flags around the following areas: The Jungle Biome, Winter Biome, the Beach, Woodland Biome, and the Lake.” The monitor shows the entire island with purple flags on it. Three each at the beach, lake, winter biome and woodland biome whilst the jungle biome has four.

“Just find one flag, an animal could have it, maybe a you’ll have to get it by activating a trap, or climb up a tree to get it, who knows? Then head back to Maison Des Winners to be with your team.” Courtney was about to speak. “… And you cannot switch flags, take more than one and steal another flag from another player.” Then Courtney shuts her mouth.

“So we won’t know what colour the flags are until we see it?” Morgan asks.

“Exactly! Good eye, by the way.” Chris nods. “Get back here fast and tap on the pole in your colour, because the order of arrival on each team member will contribute to the next challenge...” Everyone began to moan and whine before Chris announces. “…That will be happening tomorrow.” Everyone became unanimously relieved.

“You have one minute to decide what area you’re going to, now, get picking.”

“I call for the lake!” Percy yelled.

“No, me!” Jo replied.

Whilst the two blondes are fighting for who goes where, Brick looks at the map. “I’ll go to the woodland biome!” Jo overhears this, then she looks at the map. “You know what, you have the lake, Babyface.” And then Percy shoves her down.

“The beach!” Courtney exclaimed, but then...

“The beach sounds far enough.” Morgan replied. “I agree with how fewer options are left.” Gwen concurred and Dawn nodded.

“Maybe I’ll go to...”

“I’ll take the...”

“I’ll take the jungle biome.” Courtney scrunches her face when Duncan talks to Dante. Then she turns to the path that leads to the woodland biome, Jo, Brick and Rio are there. Then she turns to the path that leads to the lake, taken by Eva, Lightning and Percy.

Courtney sighs in defeat. “Fine... winter biome it is.”

Confessional: Courtney

“There’s no way I can go with Gwen, she may think I’m trying to befriend her again and she’ll take it the wrong way and stop me, and Duncan? Do you even need to ask?”

“Jungle Boogie!” Lucy exclaims.

“You want to go to the jungle?” Harold asks. “Don’t you think it’s a hard one?”

“Maybe, but who wouldn’t want to see a jungle?!”

“Even when Duncan’s around?”

“I’m right here, dweeb.” Duncan came behind him, causing Harold to be on guard, even when Lucy jumps in-between them.

“Alright, players! Hope you’ve decided where to go, because it’s challenge time!” Chris brings out a smoke pistol in the air.

“Ready...” The contestants took their stances in several directions towards the different paths.

“Set…”

“GO!” The pistol is set off and everyone is scramming in different directions, upon making their choices, the chaotic screaming seemed to have died down as there are no more contestants to be seen. This silence allows the two hosts to sit down at ease as one of the butlers handed out a tray with two glasses of lemonade. “Thank you Butler, this is gonna be a fun season.”

Gwen, Dawn and Morgan have arrived at the beach and they were exhausted from running.

“Okay... Let’s split up.” Gwen smirked as she observed the area, she eyes a rock pool. “I’m gonna look over there at this rockpool.” She said as she makes her way to the rock pool, Dawn makes her way to the ocean and Morgan looks over the sand to their left. As Gwen makes her way to the rock pool.

Puddle, smooth stones, fossils, shells, barnacles, crab holding a red flag.

“Yes.” Gwen crouched down to the crab. “Come on lil guy, just let have the flag so I can be on my way...”

Just then, another crab came next to its friend.

And another...

And another...

And even more crabs that march towards Gwen and they eventually gang up on her. She sighed.

“I’m a contestant...” Gwen then screams as she ran away from the crabs.

“GET ME OUT OF HERE!”

Dawn, who was about to be hips above water, and Morgan, who is further away from the others, turns to see the chaos. “Oh no!” Morgan exclaims, then they ran towards the scene, only for a bit of sand to sink in and it summoned a brick wall from the ground, causing Morgan to almost crash face first.

“Morgan! I’ll save Gwen, just find your flag!” Dawn then starts swimming the crab army and their dragging victim, Gwen, to the water. “Hurry-ebulululu!” Dawn swims close behind to help her.

Morgan snapped themselves out of the shock and looks at the sandy area behind them, they picked up a nearby rock and weakly threw it away from them and nothing happens, Morgan then hopped to where the rock is lying. Morgan did the same thing again…

Confessional: Morgan

Morgan is holding their flag. “Since Chris booby trapped the beach, I did a trick that my uncle taught me for checking my surroundings. One time, he searched though a crime scenes involving the floor blowing up. For... some reason. Weird that he solved who done the trap but never figured out how they did it.”

BAM! A coconut tree shot up from the sand, so Morgan hopped to the branch and started to climb the tree. Morgan then picked a coconut and threw it weakly at their next path, only for that path to blow up, causing the coconut to go flying above. Morgan picks another coconut and jumps down where the explosion was. Morgan was prepared to continue their plan, but the flying coconut fell right onto their head, cracking it open. And something fell out: A blue flag. Their eyes lit up. “Nice! And ow…” They rubbed their head.

Meanwhile, in the Woodland Biome, Jo and Brick were sprinting through the woods full of luscious trees in various shapes and sizes. “Well, at least you’ve kept up with your cadet training, Captain Flash-Pants!” Jo said .

“Well…”Brick panted. “I still! Know my! Own roots! MA’AM!” He stops for a bit to catch his breath and then Jo stops shortly after. “You were about to reach your fifth mile in under thirty minutes. You have been keeping up!”

“And you’re not even panting?!” Brick exclaims before collapsing forward.

“Brick, how long have we been against each other?”

“For about a week… last time, then…”

“Hey, hold that thought, Wet Rat.” Jo stops Brick from talking, looks up from one of the trees, and sees Rio struggling to climb her way up a tree using her belt.

“Looks like the scary newbie’s found herself a flag.” Even higher up, Jo could see a blue flag, hanging up by the highest branch. “But can she get it? Let’s find out?” Jo begins her climb on another tree.

“Hey, Tryhard!” Jo called from the ground to Rio. “You don’t need a belt to climb trees.” Jo began to climb up to a different tree. “All you need is the right amount of upper body strength and horsepower and you’re up and running!”

Rio ignored her.

“What? Got no comebac-“ Before Jo could retaliate, one of her hands touches something electrical and zapped her. That almost causes her to lose her balance and fall back to the ground and start over if not for her sheer willpower. “What the heck was that?!” Jo asked, recovering from the shock.

“Ha ha!” Chris laughed from the loudspeaker. “Those wiring are thankfully not connected to the main power. That would be bad!”

Jo regains her composure and turns her eyes to Rio, who is almost on her way to the top, before being hit in the face with a boxing glove that sprung out of the tree in front of her. Brick and Jo cringe at the sight.

Rio recovered from the knockout quickly.

Despite the head start, Jo have already made it to the top, so then she began rocking back and forth.

Rio is about to grab the flag before…

“And Jo claims the flag before the Tryhaaaard!” Jo snatched the flag off the branch! “HEY!”

“Couldn’t you just find another flag?!” Brick loudly asks her. “It’s a competition, Maggot!” Jo is now low enough to the ground. “Can’t afford to fall behind.” Jo then lets go of the tree and it flung back, hitting Rio dead in the face and causing her to fall and crash into several branches and Brick managed to catch her. Rio turned to Jo and glared at her.

Confessional: Rio

“Voy a recordar estou, Jo!” She said angrily as she points to the camera.

“Don’t take it personally, Tough-for-Brains. In this competition, you gotta face the consequences of falling behind.” But before Jo could leave, Rio grabs her by the shoulder.
“Okay, but if we’re on different teams, don’t blame me if I go against you.” This caught Jo off guard. Rio tightens her grip.
“In this competition, it’s still every player for themselves. Got that, Senorita Aburrida?”

“I got it.” Jo jerked away from her. “But if we’re on the same team, I demand respect.” She then eyes Brick.
“That goes to you too, Brickhead! See you at the hotel!”

Brick growls and with that, she’s gone.

“As if you’ll get respect, even as an ally…” Rio muttered before turning to Brick. “Thanks for the safe landing by the way.”

“Not a problem!” Brick salutes.

“Come on, map’s said there be two more flags in this part somewhere.” Brick and Rio begin to travel through the woods and as the two walk through the woods.

Confessional (Brick)

“Wow… someone who can take Jo on and not feel threaten by her is massive feat! Though, based on that, Rio might be the biggest competition, so being on the same team as her is ideal, worse case scenario, being on the same team as Jo again.” He shivers.

“I only took the lake because it’s closest to the hotel… BUT NOW I KNOW I HAVE TO SWIM TO GET THE FLAGS?!” Percy squeals as he, Eva and Lightning arrive at the lake, two red flags and a blue one are on a floating raft in the middle of the lake and are surrounded by sharks.

“Shut up, you should know how this show works by now, pig.” Eva snarls at the schoolboy.

“Sha-later, suckers!” Lightning dived into the lake and started swimming, as he dove, he splashed onto Percy.

“Hey!”

“Oh, that reminds me…” Eva

“HEY! This uniform wasn’t cheap!”

“You hear somethin’?”

“I hear nothing.”

“Ugh! Fine! I’ll get the stupid flag!” Percy reluctantly dived into the lake and doggy-paddled slowly to that raft. But they weren’t alone.

A few familiar looking fins swam swiftly across the lake, around the raft like they were guarding it. “Sharks again?” Lightning seems unamused as he keeps on swimming to that flag. “Sha-predictable...”

Chris, who was watching via TV heard this. “Predictable? Oh... I see!” Chef begins to look at a ticked off Chris. “Ready for a change of plan?”

“Oh, you know it.” Chris laughed manically. “Release the Kraken!” Chef grinned menacing as he pulls out a remote and pressed the red button!

The lake began to bubble towards the raft, she sharks took one look at this and swam away from the contestants in the water, much to Eva and Lightning’s confusion. “What the- why are they swimming past us?” Lightning asks before Eva taps him and points at the bubble. The bubbles drew closer and closer towards the raft, until... A tiny octopus jumped on, staring at the pair of them with their big doe eyes.

“That’s it? It’s just a stupid squid!” Eva said, expecting something a little more... Scary. Eva may not have been on edge, but Lightning was.

Confessional (Lightning)

“If being on this show taught me anything, DO NOT underestimated the little guys... Lightning got his pride struck HARD from doing that!”

Eva kept swimming towards the squid... and then it latches onto her face, with little to no time for her to react as it rapid punches Eva.

“I’m getting beaten up by a small squid... and I’m losing!” she grunted as she tried to get some space between her and the squid as Lightning sneakily swam past her. “Sha-Sucks to be you...” he snickered. But before he could grab a flag, a tentacle grabs him by the wrist. “Uh oh.” And then he gets yanked away and repeatedly body-slammed whilst still covering Eva’s face.

“STOP SLAMMIN’! THE LIGHTNING! OW! OW!”

“Not so easy, is it?!” Eva was trying her hardest to remove the squid off her face, Lightning was trying to reach the long tentacle as he is repeatedly slammed into the water and Percy was just grabbing a Red Flag from the raft after doggy paddling.

“You two wouldn’t get my flag for me, so I won’t help you two out!” Just as Percy is about to jump back in the water, the squid grabbed him by the collar and tosses him away.

“Is that it?! Is that the only thing you can-“ Percy then realises something.

He was tossed towards the sharks. The sharks that want to be involved with the challenge.

“So that’s it…” Then, the sharks ganged up on him.

Chris and Chef are watching the chaos unfold from the monitor screen as they munch on their popcorn and sip on their soda. “The shortest path may not always be the fastest. Who will be back with their flags first and who will be on which team? Find out when we return!”

At the Winter Biome, Courtney, Scott, and Nadia run as fast as they could without trying to slip on the ice. The snow is heavily falling but the wind is not strong enough to cause a full-on blizzard, but the temperature is certainly enough to make the trio shiver as they try to warm themselves up.

“L-let’s just grab those flags and g-go! I got g-g-goosebumps on my goosebumps!” Scott said, shivering. “Just move your body a bit more and you’ll warm yourself up,” Nadia explains as she begins to look up and saw a blue flag on the cliffside. Nadia then ran up the wall and hopped on the smaller cliffs without much effort and so much grace to get to the flag.

“Huh?” Courtney sees Nadia jumping with grace as she swoops in to kick the flag off and then slides down the cliff, kicking a bit of dirt at Scott as she lands with ease. “Did you just kick cold dirt at me…” Scott asks the perfect girl. “… So I could EAT IT?!” Scott then excitedly scoffs down the cold dirt, causing Nadia to pause. “Um… I was getting the flag down for you. That was my main intention.”

“Well, you sure know what a man wants!” Scott then picks up the flag. “All right, now that Miss Ballerina got you a flag, I’m going to find my own flag. Goodbye!”  Courtney turned her back to the duo as dashed off.

But Nadia trails behind her.

“Hey! Why are you following me?”

“Can’t really follow if there is one path.”

“Well!” Courtney paused for a moment. “Just go somewhere else!”

“And fall behind? I’ll pass. Besides, there are two more flags around here and I don’t see anyone else coming up here anytime soon.”

All that they could hear was the crunching of snow curtesy of their running. After a long pause...

“WHAT. Do you WANT?!” To the point where Courtney loudly snapped at Nadia as they screeched to a halt.

And paid the price for it. A pile of cold white snow fell on top of her. Whilst Nadia does a back flip with her hands behind her back so she doesn’t get hit.

“That’s exactly what I was dreading…” Nadia said as Courtney popped herself from the snow, then a blue flag fell from the rocky wall and right in front of Courtney and her eyes brighten up...

...Only for Nadia to snatch the flag first. “Hey! I found it first!”

“It’s whoever gets the flag first, so my apologies, not my issue,” Nadia said, calmly. “But! I will be of assistance to you to find yours, if you don’t mind.”

“What? No!” Courtney exclaims. “Just get to the hotel! I don’t want any allies!”

“Alright, have it your way,” Nadia begins to walk away from Courtney. “You seem rather desperate to win so why turn down the offer?”

“That’s what they all say! Bye!” Courtney said as she emerges from the snow and runs even higher up the mountain, leaving Nadia alone.

Confessional: Courtney

“She seems two-faced, but her skills can be helpful. I could use an ally ever since All Stars left me more enemies than... Whatever! And maybe I could’ve handled that a bit better.”

“Wait!” Courtney then walks back to Nadia as the latter walks down.
“Changed your mind?” Courtney nodded to her.
“Great, now let’s go!” Nadia takes hike with Courtney not far behind.

Confessional: Nadia

“And she has taken the bait, put on an act to advance yourself in this game.”

“Who’d thought that jungle would be holding the most flags?” Duncan asks as he, Dante, Harold, and Lucy walked through the amazing scenery that beholds them. Exotic trees, plants and even dirt are what the quartet see before them.

“I knew,” Lucy said with a straight face. “Because I read the map on the monitor.”

“I was being sarcastic.”

“That didn’t sound like sarcasm.”

“Sarcasm is known as verbal irony, occurs when a speaker says one thing, but means the opposite. I memorised that from the Tools of Earful Speech website!”

“That’s cool.” Lucy replied to Harold before opening from a long pause. “I’m not really that talkative... Or express my face very well...”

Confessional (Lucy)

“People tell me that I don’t talk much or know how to put on the correct face a lot.” Lucy then faces the camera. “I may have a Chiusa hoodie and a Penkou-chan plushie, but I can be very mature for a pink, plushy-loving weeb!”

“Think an animal’s got one?”

“Only one way to find ou-“ Duncan was then suddenly cut off as he collides with Dante.

Confessional: Duncan

“I actually thought Dante was gonna murder me for a second.” Duncan clenched his chest.

The latter has signalled the rest to get down as they reached a land full of a sleeping gorilla and it just so happened to have a blue flag.

“Aaaaaand she’s right.” Duncan said as he hid with everyone else within a bush. “Yay!” Lucy cheered quietly.

“What’s the best way to sneak past some baby kaiju monkeys” Lucy whispers to herself, but the boys heard what she said since they all looked at her. “Baby kaiju monkeys?” Duncan asks. “Yeah, I’ve always called them that.” Dante then shushed the two and then sneaked towards the ape with the flag, his back hunched, his arms dangling, and his concentration was impressive to say the least, even with facing against the gorilla in the rain.

“What is he doing?!” Harold asked quietly.

“That’s his Ape Orthadox Stance, just like how he did in his fight against Scott Sabor!” Duncan exclaims in whispers before Lucy signals him and Harold to watch Dante in action.

“Hey, bub.” Dante said to the ape, causing it to wake up. Dante remains dauntless within his stance, making the gorilla stare at him in shock. “Know that thing that’s clutching onto your palm?” The gorilla looks at the blue flag in its hand. “Put down the flag, and nobody gets hurt.” The gorilla looks at the flag, then at Dante, then it glares at him, menacingly.

Then the gorilla throws the first punch... And Dante caught it’s fist, even though it was humanly impossible in that speed. The gorilla looks at Dante with fear, then with anger.

What happens next is just a flurry punches and blocks at rapid speeds given to each party. When Dante hits, the gorilla blocks his smaller fists and when the gorilla hit, Dante blocks its big fists. It was hard to keep track of what was going on. Harold is shocked, Lucy is impressed, and Duncan is genuinely giddy of seeing Dante Malone in action. (In person, at least.)

 *WHAM*

Clean on the nose! And the face is dented. The gorilla dropped the flag, covered its sore nose and takes a step back. Dante then picks up the flag and looks at the big ape. The gorilla’s face is now scrapped.

“OoOok ook ah aak?” (“Should’ve dropped the flag?”)

“Should’ve dropped the flag.” Dante then watched the gorilla retreat to the vastness of the jungle, leaving a trail of metal and Dante alone, he then turning towards Harold, Lucy, and Duncan with a proud yet pained face.

Confessional: Dante

He clentches his sore hand whilst his flag is on his lap. “If I’d known that getting the flag meant me to punch a robot ape, I would’ve bought my gloves with me. Geez...” Dante winced as he shook his sore hand from punching the gorilla earlier.

“Dude!” Duncan walked towards Dante. “Way to show him who’s King of the Jungle!”

“Thanks man...” Dante winced as he shakes his hand. “One down, three to go!”

“Those flags could be anywhere! It doesn’t help that the jungle is the largest part of the island!” Harold looks at the map in worry. “We could split up into pairs, to cover more ground.”

“Or we could split solo!” That’s when Duncan made a run for it.

“Idiot!” Harold grunted after seeing Duncan gone. Dante sighed. “I’ll go after him, you guys find your flags.” Dante then runs after Duncan. “Okay! Be careful!” Lucy yells as Dante disappears into the bushes.

A long pause as Harold crosses his arms and Lucy’s are behind her back.

“Harold, wanna team up and find flags?”

“Yeah, sure.” Then they set off.

“And maybe we can find some mangos!”

“Mangos only grow in the Amazon, Lucy!”

Morgan then made their way to Gwen and Dawn, who both came out of the water, only Gwen has her flag. Well, the crab on her head has it.

“What happened?”

Gwen stood up. “Almost got drowned by crabs.” She said nonchalantly.

“Even this one was involved?” Morgan points at the crab on Gwen’s head. “Yep.” Gwen winced in pain as she got pinched in her efforts of getting that flag. “Mother-“

“Wait!” Dawn came back with some seaweed. “Maybe you were looking for something to sleep with.” The crab looks at the flag and then at the bed of seaweed.

It chooses the seaweed.

Morgan and Gwen were stunned.

The crab grabs its new bed and walks away to the ocean.

“Enjoy your new bed, little one!”

“Aw!” Gwen is in awe before she gave Dawn a thumbs up. “Nice going.” She then picks the flag up.

Morgan steps in. “How did you know what the crab wants?”

“Oh... I just observed her behaviour.”

Morgan blinks at her. “That’s it?”

“Yes, it’s a helpful skill to have, But your will to use intelligence alone makes a cage for your emotions, all that just for approval from your peers.”

“Don’t!” Morgan raised their voice at her. “...Observe that much.”

Gwen felt a menacing presence from the water. So when she turns her head to the water, she taps Dawn on the should to be alert.

The crab army is back.

“Oh! What is it?” Dawn crouches down to the front crab whilst Gwen takes a BIG step back. (Who could blame her?) The crabs bow to her like she was a deity and the front crab handed her something like a blade.

Another red flag.

“Oh wow! I was looking for that,” Dawn took the flag from the crab’s claws. “Thank you!” the crab nodded before blowing to Dawn, the rest of the crabs did the same and Gwen and Morgan just stood there, too stunned to think.

Confessional: Dawn

“My mother always tell me to use aura-reading for good and to help a living being who truly needs it, even if there’s no reward.”

Back in the forest, Brick and Rio are still searching for flags, Brick searched through a hollow log, whilst Rio checks through a bush. “

Duncan made his way to the other side of the jungle and sees nothing but the ocean.

The cliff to the ocean is just high enough for him to dive down. If Duncan wanted to get out of here and explore, he would have done so by now. But something inside of him made him stop and sigh. “Right… this thing.”

Confessional: Duncan

“If I wanted to get out there and leave the island, I would’ve done so by now.” He then lifts his leg up, showing a band attached to his ankle. “But if I tried, then Chris will have the cops come in and have me taken back to the slammer…” His face turned from calm to concerned. “It’s like I’m snapping between Jekyll and Hyde here!”

As Duncan stares at the view before him, he hears a rustle in the bushes from behind and so he snapped his neck to the source.
“What? Decided to follow me or somethin’?” He said in a composed voice as he cautiously walks up to the bushes. “Harold? Dante? Uh… The Weeb? Was it?” It wasn’t any of them. It was a jaguar. A jaguar that has just lunged at him! The two animals fell onto the ground with Duncan’s shoulders landing on the very edge of the cliff. One wrong move and he’ll plummet into the water.

If he could get his head out of the jaguar’s mouth of course.

“AAAAAAAAGRHHHHHH! GET OFFA ME!” It’s like his head being caught in a bear trap. The hard, cold metal that he can feel underneath that fur and Duncan can see the throat of the predator!

“Huh?” Duncan didn’t have to look down there any further as he feels the jaws loosen and he was finally free. He fell back and saw Dante threw the jaguar into a tree, causing sparks to fly.

Duncan quickly got up as the jaguar faces the two lads. Just as the jaguar was about to pounce at Dante, it did a weak hop and fell on its side, still moving like a windup toy.

“Ayo?!” Dante took a step back, cautiously.

“Phew! Glad it ain’t a real one.” Duncan walks up to the now broken jaguar and with a rock that’s just as big as a brick, Duncan starts destroying it.

And Dante just stands there... Pale and flabbergasted.

“There we go...” Duncan’s voice drips with manic malice, the now destroyed jaguar and then he pulls something out of its robotic guts.

A blue flag.

“I thought you were going crazy! What the heck, man?!” Dante exclaimed, still mortified at what Duncan had done.

“Dude, I spotted the flag when it tried to bite my head off!” He said. “Just glad I didn’t have to gut a real one.”

“Yeah... Ew...” Dante shivered at the thought.

As the squid is still latching onto her face, Eva slowly swam her way to the raft and got the blue flag. “Is that the best you got? I carried  ten members of my school’s Wrestling club, and they’re known to break wood with a chokehold!” Then the squid wrapped its tentacles around her neck.

“You insane?! AH!” Lightning yelled as he is still getting slammed by the same squid. “THAT’S A- OW! SHA-DEATH SENTENCE! AUGH!” Then Eva grasped the tentacles that are around her neck. She tugged them away from her windpipe and with the struggle and sweat, Eva ferociously tears those wired tentacles like they were chains, chains chained up to stone pillars, she let out a roar that served as the squid’s last thoughts to think about.

If robot squids can think about fear.

And with the “Kraken” defeated, Lightning fell to the lake and is now safe from the constant belly and back flops. “Phew… thanks Beast Girl!”

“Whatever… just get that flag and go.” He collected his flag, the only flag left. A red one.

“Let’s sha-go before those sharks get sick and tired of White Baby!” Lightning and Eva swam quickly back to shore and then the sharks volleyballed Percy back to shore, landing face first. “OKAY! TEAMMATE!” But Lightning glares at him. “If ya thinking about making Lightning your show horse, ain’t happening! Lightning’s the Stallion of this Game. So, Sha-Toodles!” And with a sassy wave followed by laughter, Lightning took off and quickly caught up to Eva, leaving Percy all by himself, screaming at Lightning to come back.

Back outside the hotel, Chris and Chef are spectating everyone’s progress.

“Seems like everyone should be making their way back to the Hotel by now.” He switches screens to see Harold run after some monkeys with one carrying a red flag whilst Lucy is tossing mangos at them to distract them. The next shot shows Brick and Rio searching in the bushes only for the former finding a red flag and the latter found an angry bear with a red flag on its head. “Or they’re just really bad at this challenge, geez!”

“Except for yours truly!” Jo smugly taps the blue pole with blue flag in hand. “True that!” Chris points at her. “So, Jo, you’re the first member of the blue team.”

“Yes!”

“Now you just wait for everyone else to arrive.”
Jo pouted at Chris’ sudden dismissal of her accomplishment. “That’s it? No special perks for coming first?”
“I’m afraid so, but at least you get to watch everyone try and fail to get their flags in one piece, with a cup of cool lemonade!”
“Meh, better than nothing I suppose.” Jo shrugs as grabs a glass of lemonade from the butler and watches the chaos from the monitor.

The monitor then shows a bear about attack Brick before Rio got the bear in a headlock. “Don’t! You! Dare!” before Rio could tighten her grip, the bear threw her on top of Brick and just as the bear was going to belly flop them, Brick hugged Rio before rolling away.

“Nice save!”

“It is my duty to report to you ma’am that we’re still in trouble.” The duo got up quickly and the bear gnawed onto... “Y-you have a prosthesis leg?!”

“Yeah, what else about me surprises ya?” Rio then pulled out a screwdriver.
“The fact you’ve came here with a screwdriver!”
“Yeah, now time to dismantle this robo-bear!” And so Rio stabs the bear in the shoulder with the screwdriver…

“Um… Ma’am?”
“Oh farts.”

…Only to find out it was a real bear.

Chris, Chef and Jo wince as they witness the mauling of the two players.
“Should’ve told them that not every animal is robotic.”
“Ya think?”

Courtney and Nadia finally made their way to the top of the snowy mountain and with that, Courtney sees a blue flag and she take it. “Finally!” She exclaimed as she then hugged the flag. “Now to quickly get down from here…”
Nadia then spots a sign that reads: “Slippery when Icy.” With smaller words saying: “No, seriously? What are doing up here? Oh wait, it’s for a challenge. My bad! -Chris McLean.”
“Well, Chris isn’t one for serious safety regulations, so might as well make it look like he doesn’t give a damn.” Nadia then picks up the sign whilst Courtney looks at her. “We’re snowboarding.” Then Courtney’s expression drops. “You’re not being serious, are you?”
“I am.”
“We’re not doing that.”
“Well, do you plan to climb down.”
“It’ll take forever.”
“Whilst boarding down is much faster.”
“It’s risky.”
“So is climbing down.”
“Ugh!”
“Do you have a better idea?”
“No!”
“We’re doing snowboarding.” Nadia smiles triumphantly.
“We are not doing snowboarding.” Courtney pouted in defeat as she boards on.

Confessional: Courtney
“Okay, I did not expect a newbie to put me, ME, in my place! And you’re wondering, “Courtney, why are you getting on when you clearly said you’re not snowboarding, even after you’ve lost?” It’s because I stand by my statement, not my actions! Even if she is right!”

Confessional: Nadia
“Is it just me or is Courtney a walking contradiction? I’m sure she is! And it was fun to put her in her place with common sense!”

Back at the hotel, Lightning and Eva have arrived back at the hotel with their flags in hand.
“Sha-FIRST!” Lightning exclaimed.
“First between you and Madzilla, but not overall!” Jo comes up from behind them, smugly, Lightning groaned about the fact that he lost to Jo, again.
“Chris, please tell me Jo’s on a different team.”
“You’re in luck! “Eva, go and join Jo on the blue team. Lightning, you’ve became the first member of the red team!”
“I’ll take that as a victory!” Lightning shrugs before he and everyone else hears a couple of screaming from the forest.
“It seems like Brick and Rio are back...” They are back, and they were holding onto the bear for dear life.

“I ALREADY TOLD YOU! I DIDN’T KNOW THERE WERE ALSO REAL BEARS!” Rio screamed at Brick. “I WISHED WE’VE KNOWN BEFORE YOU STABBED IT WITH A SCREWDRIVER!”

“Wait wait wait, did he just say Stabbed?” Chris asked wide-eyed.

“That’s what I heard.” Chef replied with the same expression.

“Man! Creepy Girl’s gonna flip when she finds out!” And just on cue as Lightning says that, Dawn, Gwen and Morgan returned and saw the wild rodeo. “Oh my gosh! What are you both doing to her?” Dawn gasps in horror and she sensed something wasn’t right.

“PARDON ME MA’AM, WE’RE JUST TRYING TO GET THE FLAG OFF THE BEAR’S HEAD!” Brick screamed before he finally flung off and hit his nuts on the red pole. Everyone winced at Brick’s misfortune.

“Ooo! Glad that wasn’t me.” Chris smirks. “That makes Brick the second player for team red!” He turns to the trio that had just arrived. “And what you guys standing there for?”

“Sorry, just praying that the new girl’s alive after this!” Gwen snapped back.

“Rio! Let go!” Morgan called out.

“Not until I get this flag off!” Rio finally managed to pull the flag off, along with what looks like the top of a bear’s head... “Huh?!” The bear froze, felt the top of its now bald head and then... “ROOOOOOAR!!!” The bear then flew Rio off and she slammed back first into in red pole with the flag and bear cap in her grip

“And Rio’s red player number three!” Then the bear pulls out Rio’s screwdriver and throws it at her like a dart, barely missing the top of her head. It then approached her, grabbed the bear cap and snapped the flag off, dropping it and putting the cap back on to cover it’s bald head before matching away in a bad mood.

Confessional: Rio

“Okay... never try and stab a bear when getting a flag or else you’ll end up skewered on the head. Got it. Still doesn’t change the fact I’ll choose to fight the bear again.” The locker door opens and out stands a bear with it’s arms crossed, staring at Rio with disappointment. Rio froze. “Hey! I’m joking, can’t a girl joke after an incident?” She smiled awkwardly. The bear then closes the door and Rio then shook her head whilst punching her own palm.

“You good there?” Gwen asked as she and Dawn approached her.
“Yeah, not what I thought I’d have to do to get the flag.” Rio got up as Dawn and Gwen touched their flagpole whilst Morgan touched theirs.
“Dawn and Gwen are red players four and five whilst Morgan is blue player number three!” Chris announces as he writes something down, then he eyes the blue team . “Man, you guys need more players.”

Jo groans in frustration. “Where is everybody?!” She threw her hands in the air and as if on que…
“Probably stuck in a ditch,” Scott comes in, snickering. “Oh well, not my problem.” He touched the blue flagpole, same coloured flag in hand. “Ask and you shall receive Jo.” Chris laughed. “Scott, you’re blue player number four, well done.”
“Nice!”
“JUNGLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGIE!!” Just then, Harold and Lucy comes running in with red flags, monkeys, macaws and mangos screaming.
“And here comes the Weeb and the Dweeb!” Lucy (with the same pained look on her face when Chris first called her a weeb) and Harold finally made it to their flagpoles. “Harold, sixth member and Lucy seventh member of red team!”
“Wicked! We’re almost a full house!” Said Harold.
“Yeeeeeeee!” Lucy stims by jumping up and down and flaps her arms in front of her.

Confessional: Scott
“Well, I may know where the pretty lady and Courtney went, but I have my priorities. And those priorities are what’ll get me on the road to victory, besides, I’m sure they’ll be fine! What’s gonna happen? Have them fall from the sky?”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” Courtney and Nadia suddenly comes sliding down the mountain. “Nadia! If we die before we get to the hotel, my lawyers will sue you!” Courtney screamed. “I do this kind of stuff eight times a week, and somehow mother thinks it’ll make me land on my feet better!”
“YOUR MOM IS CRAZY!”
“She is much worse. Now hold on!” The girls is picking up speed, faster and faster they go until they reach a ramp and at the fastest possible speed ever, they fly across the sky.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!”

“Woah! Looks like Nadia and Courtney are gonna crash land to the finish!” Chris didn’t even need to watch the TV to see where Courtney and Nadia are as the two girls are almost there!
“They better be on our team.” Jo moaned, just as a wooden sign crash lands onto the back of her head, causing Scott to laugh at her misfortune. “That’ll shut ya trap.” Morgan then turns around where the sign came from. “Look!” Courtney is hugging Nadia for dear life as Nadia holds her umbrella up to get them both safely down.
“I hate snowboarding… I hate it!” Courtney muttered before she gets down.
“Oh, you loved it.”
“It’s terrifying!”
“So is the rest of the competition, darling.” The two girls touched the blue flagpole.
“Thanks make… five and six for Nadia and Courtney respectively.” Chris writes down. “We’re missing three.”

Confessional: Courtney
“Please! Please! Let Duncan be on the other team… It’ll make my stay here more tolerable!” She prays.

“Hey looky here! Someone from the closest biome has finally decided to show up!” Chris then spots Percy, who is marching angrily toward Lightning. Everyone watches in dread.
“YOU! HOW DARE YOU LEAVE ME!” He points at Lightning.
“Lightning, you left him?!” Brick asked.
“Dude was dropping his one-man jobs onto Lightning and he was being a sha-pain in my rear!” To Lightning’s reasons, the rest of the red team minus Brick seems to take his side.
“But! The Cadet Code!”
“The Cadet Code is important, but it’s not for the kid that drove his father’s car through the middle school he was expelled for!” Dawn turned to Percy with distain in her eyes. Brick turned pale. “You WHAT?!”
“What? The nerds here shouldn’t be allowed to Anthony Drake’s birthday party over me!” They all look at him. “The most popular guy in that school at the time, duh!”
“Oh I think he’s an underclassman of Lightning’s!”
“WHAT?!” Percy was about to lunge at Lightning until Brick and Rio had to put an end to this.

Confessional: Lightning
“I mean, the guy I was talking about is on the basketball team back at home, but I’m sure if that’s the guy Rich Boy Mcgee’s is talking about.” He shrugs.

“Percy! You’re the last member for the red team.” Chris announces.
“Aw yeah! FULL HOUSE!” Lightning cheered followed by everyone else.

“And look who finally decided to show up!” At long last, much to Courtney’s horror, Dante and Duncan finally made their way back to the hotel with blue flags.

“Oh, you have got to be kidding me!”

“Oh ho, I wish I was, princess.” Duncan replied as Dante and himself touched the blue flagpole.
“And Dante and Duncan are the last players of team blue!" Chris announces.
“And we got the boxing legend!” Jo cheered much to Dante’s slight discomfort. “In your face, Lightning!” Lightning rolls his eyes.

Confessional: Dante
“Look, I didn’t come here because I wanted to…” His face sudden changes into a false smile. “I came here to promote my career… heh, and to show off my skill within the game, so watch out, fellas! Dante Malone’s gonna crash these games!” He punched his palm.

"Alright players, the teams are set!" Chris called out to them as the players stand by the Winners Hotel.

"Jo, Eva, Morgan, Scott, Nadia, Courtney, Dante and Duncan. Since you collected blue flags, you will be placed on..." Chris then clicks a button on the remote and a blue banner with a monsterous looking boot as the mascot came up from the ground.
"The Screaming Strikers!" The new teammates look at eachother before Chris continues.

"Lightning, Brick, Rio, Dawn, Gwen, Harold, Lucy and Percy, because you've came with red flags, you are now known as..." Chris clicks the button again and another banner sprouts up, but it was red and the mascot is a boxing glove that resembles a bomb and has a mad look on its face.
"The Killer Fighters!"
"A lot like the first two seasons..." Lucy muttered to which Harold nodded in agreement.

“Hope you guys got used to the environment around here because this island may morph around to freshen up the scenery.”
“So all of those different spots you made us go to was to give us a taste of what to come?” Gwen asked.
“Yep! You need the right environment to do certain events you know! Which I can control, observe!” Chris presses a button on a remote and then a cloud appears above the contestants. Nadia seemed to know what Chris was going to do because she has her umbrella out once more and she ended up being correct.
The cloud rained heavily onto the contestants, so they rushed to get inside the hotel.

“INSIDE, NOW!”
“FREAKING MOVE IT!”
“SPAZES, THE LOT OF YA!”
“LIGHTNING’S SOAKED AGAIN!”
“GOD DAMN IT, CHRIS!”
“MY LEG!”
“I HATE THE FEELING OF WET CLOTHES!”
“SO DO I!”

Chris and Chef couldn’t stop laughing at the chaos that they brought, the cloud stood outside the hotel and then it leaves the area. Chris then peeps through the door, seeing the recently soaked contestants, minus Nadia of course. “Now that your first day is over, get yourselves cleaned up and let’s get this party started!” Chris then blows a party horn.
“And remember kids, don’t stay up too late, got a loooooooooong day tomorrow.” Chef said as the echoes of his sinister laugh is the last thing the contestants hear before the door closes.

“Not bad for our first day, and it certainly won’t be our most dramatic!” Chris announces as he walks away from the hotel. “Which team will receive the privilege of staying in the hotel for another night and who will eventually be cut from the games first? Find out next time when we return on…
