Chapter Text
The pain gnaws at me, a relentless ache in my heart. I yearn for my godchild, my blood adopted son, my precious lifeline. I know the hardships he endures, for I have witnessed them firsthand since my escape from Azkaban and dear was it heartbreaking being able to only observe and unable to intervene. But now, trapped in this wretched house, I question why I follow Dumbledore. First blindly but nowadays only out of necessity and maybe habit. All I desire is to hold my son, to inhale his scent, to feel his presence and reassure him that we are not alone, that we still have each other. Sometimes my Grimm is still very near to the surface.
It is the summer after the Triwizard Tournament, a harrowing event that forced Harry into a perilous path. I am aware that my precious boy witnessed the murder of a fellow student and competitor. The fury within me burns at the thought. I despise everyone who follows Dumbledore's orders, forbidding any contact with Harry. They confiscate his mail before an owl can even take flight, inflicting pain upon pain. The urge to rip out my hair and going ballistic on everyone is a constant. My body shudders from all this. What thoughts might consume my son's mind during this cruel wait?
And then, the day arrives. Harry steps foot in Grimmauld Place, and my heart soars with desperate joy. Finally, finally, I can hold my son in my arms, keeping him safe from the prying eyes of other inhabitants and Order members who try to keep us apart. But I will not allow that to happen. I see the longing mirrored in Harry's eyes, the yearning for our connection. We steal precious moments together whenever we can, defying the attempts to sever our bond.
Those around us, they speak ill of me to Harry, attempting to poison his mind and drive a wedge between us. But my beloved son resists their influence. He defends me fiercely, casting aside those who would dare tarnish my name. Every time I witness his unwavering loyalty, my heart swells with immeasurable love for him. It fills me to the brim, warming my entire being.
In these stolen moments, I treasure the chance to guide and protect Harry, to offer him the love and support he deserves. We find solace in each other's presence, for our bond is unbreakable. Together, we navigate this treacherous world, defying the forces that seek to tear us apart.
No matter the obstacles, no matter the trials we face, I will always be there for my son. For Harry is not alone, and neither am I. Love courses through our veins, forging a connection that transcends the limitations of this wretched house. We are bound by blood, by love, by a shared history of pain and resilience.
In the depths of my being, I hold onto hope. Hope that brighter days will come, that we will triumph over darkness, and that one day, we will be free to live and love without fear. Until then, I will fiercely protect and cherish the bond I share with my precious Harry.
