Work Text:
A day in with all three of them was hard to come by, especially when one of them was a surgeon and the other a very famous chef, leaving the third to miss the time they had together.
But, today was that day.
Ace blinked, a small yawn escaping him as he sat up, silver eyes blinking sleepily at the sunlight filtering through the window warmly. WIth a small grin, the freckled young man stood up from where he was pressed against a warm broad chest and towards the bathroom to get ready for the day, before making his way to the kitchen.
He had a plan to make their day off together perfect and amazing, besides all good lazy days started with an amazing breakfast and his boyfriends deserved their rest.
Which means, it’s time for him to shine.

Thatch hummed as he slowly woke up, arms tightening around his lover’s waist and pulling the other closer. At the feeling of broad shoulders, the brunette instantly knew that he was holding Marco and finally opened his eyes.
It wasn’t strange for him to wake up holding either Marco or Ace, but he knew for a fact that last night, Ace had been in between the two of them, pressed snugly against both of them. As he sat up, the chef groaned in contentment as his back cracked loudly, before glancing around. The light was beaming brightly through the window and their large bed was one person short. “Wonder what he’s doing?” Movement next to him, alerted the large man of his other lover waking up.
“Wonder what who’s doing?” Marco yawned, turning to face him, happy to not move from the bed. “Good morning, by the way.”
“Good morning, love.” Thatch leaned down and pressed a kiss to the blond’s forehead. “And I was wondering what Ace was up to, since he’s not here.” The older man blinked and turned around with a small sound of surprise.
“Guess you’re right, yoi.” The surgeon finally sits up, blue eyes blinking tiredly as he tried to fully wake up. “We should go look for him, lord knows what he could get up to when left alone.” Thatch laughed as they got themselves up, both going about their morning routines, before exiting their room and looking for their youngest lover.
They didn’t have to look far, due to the fact that he was found in the kitchen, placing plates and food on the table, humming a little song under his breath, until he noticed them. “Good morning!” A sunny smile was beamed at the older two and Thatch couldn’t keep his own grin from growing on his lips as he made his way over to Ace and wrapped his arms around the freckled young man.
“Good morning, Firefly.” Marco responded, a lazy smile playing on his own lips as he walked over to them, eyes gleaming happily. The blond pressed his lips against Ace’s first, earning a small hum of happiness, before pulling back and allowing Thatch to do the same.
Once their kisses were exchanged, Ace squeezed out from the hug and waved his hand toward the table with a flourish. “I made breakfast!” The dark haired young man rushed back to his two taller lovers and quickly began to rush them towards chairs. “Chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, bacon and orange juice!”
Thatch and Marco looked at the spread before them and felt rushes of affection for the youngest man. “Oh, Ace, you didn’t have to, yoi.” Marco grinned as he took a seat, beginning to plate his breakfast, Thatch doing the same.
“Yeah, I know, but this is your day off and since I don’t work, I didn’t mind doing this for you guys.” Despite the words, Ace’s tone never changed. He knew that most would be disappointed in themselves for not working, but his lovers had already reassured them that they didn’t really want him to work and loved spoiling him and taking care of his needs. It took some time, but eventually, he stopped doubting himself and decided to just be the stay at home husband the duo needed and loved. “Besides, I wanted to do this for like ever!”
It was nice.
The trio sat down and ate, talking with one another and just catching up. Soon, breakfast was done, Thatch and Marco were shooed back off to bed, Ace turning and beginning to clean up the kitchen. A bit reluctantly, the blond and brunette make their way back to the room.
It didn’t take too long for them to settle back into the bed as they waited for the third of their relationship to come back as well. Marco began to rearrange the many pillows and blankets they had on the bed into a soft and comfortable nest as Thatch started looking through Netflix for a show to binge for the day or a good couple of movies.
When Ace finally reappeared, he was holding a large tray of snacks, mumbling under his breath quietly about things for a later date. “Okay, I got the snacks and was thinking-,” He paused and took in the scene in front of him, a smirk coming to his face. “Well, it looks like we read each other's minds.”
“Of course, Firefly.” Thatch grinned as he flopped into the nest of blankets, snickering at the look of fond annoyance Marco sent him, before he yanked the blond into the large bed, earning a squawk of surprise as Ace laughed at the sight of the large men tumbling around the bed. “Come on Ace!” The brunette whined childishly. “The nest is comfy and we’re ready to stay in bed all day!”
Ace grinned widely, placing the tray on the bedside table, clambering onto the bed with them and cuddling himself in the middle with a content sigh as they finally clicked a crime series they were watching prior and relaxing in the nest.
This was the perfect day in and the trio couldn’t be happier.
