Work Text:
For now, the land still lies in shadow, a soft blanket of darkness. The moon has already left the sky, but the stars still shine overhead.
But then, on silent paws, the first rays of sunlight cross the horizon. Quietly creeping, carefully peeping to see if the land is ready for the morning yet.
Soon more rays follow, and more, and more!
Somewhere, someone sits on a balcony and watches the colours bleed back into the world, listening to sleepy feet stumbling around behind the door, the slow sounds of waking up to a pale sunrise.
It’s a good morning.
