Change

Summary:

This is a rewrite of my story "Izuku finally gets the life he deserves".

Izuku has been put down all throughout his childhood, ever since being diagnosed quirkless at the age of 4. Now everything is going to change, attracting a found family who loves him, all while working as a vigilante and becoming the hero he was meant to be.

Chapter Text

Almost everyone in this modern world has developed powers. These powers are seen as magnificent, except for ones classified as villainous or useless, of course. Even though people before having these powers thrived, being powerless now is practically a death sentence.

Now this brings us to the present, the life of a very intelligent individual named Midoriya Izuku. This young man is someone continually put down and beaten emotionally and physically because of his lack of power (this power is known by everyone now as a quirk), but anyone with some amount of a lack of bigotry would realize; he could rule the world if he wanted to.

………………………….…………….…………….…………….……………….

At 5am Izuku slowly blinks open his eyes to the obnoxious beeping of his cherished All Might alarm, squinting at the bright sun shining through his windows all the while. His focus on everything around him was foggy, having stayed up till 1am the night before. Having to get out of bed despite his bone deep exhaustion though, because like any teenager, he had to go to school.

As he stepped onto his wooden floor, Izuku tried to hold back a shiver, the morning cold seeping into his bare feet. He goes to the restroom, performing his morning routine, time passes and he's finally ready for school. Of course he would have decided to eat breakfast before he left, but with his mother being dead and him surviving on what little resources he could scrounge up, that wasn't an option

So Izuku heads to school with his stomach growling, heading down the stairs and onto the path that leads to his nightmare of a school.

At school

After around a 10 minute walk, he arrives at school dreading all the possibilities. Izuku heads in through the large double doors, keeping his head down so as to not draw any negative attention while in the pack of students bustling through the doors with him. Despite expecting it, for it was a regular occurrence, he was not prepared for his day to become much more hellish, so soon.

As he's walking through the halls, curled in on himself and so silent he is practically a ghost, his breath is suddenly knocked out of him. Before he can get his bearings, he's thrust harshly into a locker nearby, the metal reverberating throughout the halls loudly due to the force. Collecting himself, he looks up from his vulnerable spot on the ground, spotting the spikey, ashy blond hair of his once childhood friend Kacchan turned bully, Bakugo Katsuki.

As soon as he sees him, Izuku knows that whatever he has in store for him is nasty. His sharp, bright red eyes glare hate fully, causing, very obviously, Izuku's mind to start to retreat into itself and go foggy. Before he can fully dissociate, like he so dearly wanted to with his aching body throbbing, Bakugo slams his foot right next to his head, causing a sharp pain to zing through it at the close bang.

Izuku can tell that he's speaking at him (more like yelling if I'm honest) but he can't process a single thing said. Anyone could tell that Bakugo’s getting to his wits end, the palms of both his hands lifting near Izuku's face and sparking. Before he realizes it, Izuku hears an explosion in both ears, head ringing so much he can't tell if it's just his head damaged, or if somehow the explosion caught the rest of the body as well. Usually Bakugo would never be so obvious with the wounds he leaves on him, but I guess he's finally got it in his head that nobody, and I mean nobody, will care about the useless Deku.

As soon as the damage is dealt, vibrations of his feet stomping away can be felt, his lackeys following not too far behind. Once they're gone, Izuku allows himself to feel for any obvious wounds, bringing his hands up to the most damaged, the ears. It stings brutally when touchee, his vision is going blurred, and he doesn't know how long he can keep his eyes open. Bringing his hands down shakiley, he's spotting too much of what could only be blood on his fingers. Izuku knows the only thing to do now is go home and try and fix it up there, anyone else capable of fixing it is too big of a bigot. Good thing the school has no parent to contact about his absence!
